Gideon woke up in cold sweat in an unfamiliar place. He looked around but to his dismay, the room was too dark to see anything. The bed he had been lying on was hard and cold. Could you even call it a bed? It was more like...

"Floor..." Gideon\'s voice was sounded terrible. It was as if he had been screaming for days and was not given enough water.

"Oh my! is the sleeping beauty finally awake?" Someone spoke out loud in the dark area. It seems like it was empty except for the two of them because of how their voice echoed in the darkness.

"It\'s very rude of me to keep talking like this in the dark" A snap of his fingers suddenly lit up the place and it brought pain to Gideon\'s eyes.

"It\'s very amusing to see you in this state" he spoke out and Gideon\'s vision gradually came back and saw the person in front of him. His pupils shrank in surprise and he visibly shook.

"How have you been? Gideon Lemery~" Kaiden smirked.

Gideon tried to approach him but something around his neck prevented him from coming closer to the metal bars that divided him from Kaiden. He raised his hand to touch it but to his shock, his wrists were bound by chains. He had a collar around his neck and it only lets him within a few feet in this tiny cell.

"Why am I here..." he mumbled. Gideon could have sworn that he was outside in the palace garden with Kaiden and Amias. Kaiden at that time even lent him his jacket, so why is he-

"You\'re seriously asking that? What did you hit your head again?" Kaiden asks coldly making Gideon snap out of his thoughts. He looked at Kaiden very innocently and this made Kaiden even more furious.

"You... You can\'t remember?" Kaiden speaks out slowly.

"I\'m afraid so..."

"HAHAHA!" Kaiden bursts out laughing and it made Gideon feel goosebumps all over.

"You know how to make a funny joke Deon~ Since you made me laugh, I\'ll fill you in then?" He smiled as he said these words. The smile didn\'t look genuine at all, even the laugh from earlier was scary.

"Harassment of the Crown Prince, Forgery of Documents, Hiding your true identity, Colluding with the enemy, and so much more that makes me want to personally kill you... However, that would be too easy" As Kaiden explained to him the reason why he ended up in this situation, something in Gideon broke. He just stared at Kaiden with disbelief thinking;

\'So I still couldn\'t escape this ending?\'

Kaiden waited for a response but it seems like the other person was in shock.

"Interesting.." he says and with another snap of his fingers, a figure appeared next to him.

"You called for me, your highness?" Alex appeared next to Kaiden and immediately kneeled down to show respect. Kaiden brushed him off and pointed to Gideon.

"Have him flogged again, it seems like his crimes weren\'t deeply rooted into his bones enough. If he resists again, let the guards have a go at him" Kaiden smiled cruelly thinking of Gideon asking him for mercy.

Alex glanced at Gideon. This man oftentimes barked curses at him and spat blood at him when possible. This man... was apparently capable of making such a face. A face that showed pure fright and hopelessness. Was this the same man he dragged to the capital\'s square to humiliate numerous times but still managed to retaliate with much vigor? Alex couldn\'t help but hesitate a little and Kaiden took notice of this. He took hold of Alex\'s shoulders and dug his nails.

"Why are you hesitating? Are you forgetting that he\'s the reason why your mother and sister died?"

Being reminded of this, whatever pity Alex had for Gideon immediately disappeared. Rage could only be felt. He opened the cell door and went inside to grab a hold of the chains that bounded Gideon.

"Ack!" Gideon lets out a choked-up sound as the collar around his neck got violently pulled and dragged him out of the cell.

He held onto the collar to help him breathe to some extent. Did he really kill Lianna and Rhea? Gideon asked himself but he couldn\'t remember doing such a horrible thing. His vision started to blur once more due to the lack of air. Before everything turned dark, he could remember Kaiden softly telling him;

"Sweet dreams"

Gideon woke up again in a cold sweat, panting as if he was trying to catch his breath. He looked around and saw that he was in a rather comfortable room. There was light from the window and it seems like it\'s close to sunset. His hands immediately went up to his neck and he didn\'t feel any collars binding him. His wrists were also not bound by chains. A sigh of relief left his mouth and he tried to get out of bed.

A door opened and an unfamiliar man with silver hair walks in. This was the first time Gideon saw this man or else he would have remembered such a person. There were only a few young-looking people in the capital that had silver-white hair. But something about this person made him stand out from the rest even more.

"You must have had a nightmare" the person spoke out and he apparently brought water as well since he placed a glass of water on the nightstand next to Gideon\'s bed.

"I... yes" Gideon must have been so shaken earlier that the other person noticed it.

"Don\'t worry, it wasn\'t real. Drink up, sleeping for that long can dehydrate you" The man smiled and Gideon grabbed the glass.

"How long was I asleep?" He asked before he started drinking.

"Three days" when the man answered, Gideon almost spat out his drink.

"T-three days?!" Gideon says in surprise and the man takes out a handkerchief from his pockets and gave it to Gideon. He lets out a small thank you as he wiped his mouth.

"It\'s no problem, just rest more. I\'ll call someone to serve you properly" The man was about to leave when Gideon called out to him.

"Um, what\'s your name?"

The man stopped as if he was thinking about giving out his name. Gideon felt uneasy and wanted to apologize for asking but suddenly the man answered with a smile.

"I\'m Eliam, but just call me Liam. Take care Gideon"

"Take care.." Gideon says as Liam leaves the room.

\'Huh? Why does he know my name?\'

Eliam went out of the room and walked down the hall. He saw Yohann\'s room and Kassandra sleeping by his feet. She was slightly shivering and so he went into the room and placed his jacket over her.

"Don\'t worry, he\'ll be fine now" Eliam says as his ice-blue eyes glanced at Yohann who was struggling in his sleep. With a wave of his hand, the horrible nightmares were replaced with happy memories.

"I\'m sorry for letting you suffer" Eliam frowns, he knows he should meddle around like this but he can\'t help seeing these kids in this state. He lets out a sigh and he walks out of the room. He saw Kaiden, who was heading for Gideon\'s room, as usual, notice him.

"Who are you" Kaiden knew most of the people that work in this area and that this area is strictly off-limits for visitors.

"I\'m just a friend" Eliam will never be hostile to anyone because even if they try to kill him, they can\'t succeed. That was the unfortunate truth of his existence.

"You didn\'t answer me" Kaiden tried to use his powers to attack him but nothing happened. He became even warier and took a step back.

"I don\'t recommend showing your face to Gideon right now. He\'s awake but he\'s still shaking a little. Just ask for Azazel or Damien to go in your stead." Eliam walks past Kaiden and gave him a pat on the shoulder.

When Kaiden looked back, Eliam had already disappeared.

"Your Highness" Kaiden was surprised because when he looked in the other direction, he saw Damien and Azazel walking towards him.

"Did you see that person?"

"Hmm? What are you talking about?"

"A person with... with.."

strange... He couldn\'t remember what happened. He could have sworn he was talking to someone and that\'s why he didn\'t immediately go into Gideon\'s room as usual.

"I think I\'m not feeling well, can one of you go check up on Gideon for me?" Kaiden pinched the bridge of his nose.

The two were confused and Azazel tells Damien to check up on Gideon. He, on the other hand, went to Yohann\'s room and saw the two sleeping. It seems like the two of them was having good dreams, making Azazel smile in relief.

"You\'re awake!" Damien greeted Gideon who he saw was staring out the window.

"Lord Damien..." Gideon was surprised to see him here and the man laughed.

"I told you to just call me Damien. How are you feeling?"

"I\'m fine but did I really sleep for three days?"

"How did you know you were out for three days?"

"A servant... " something prevented him from saying the description of Eliam and so he instead said "who brought me a glass of water told me"

"Oh, that may have been the person Kaiden saw passing here..."

"Kaiden is here?" Gideon was still terrified from his nightmare. Even though Liam reassured him that it wasn\'t true, he was still scared of how realistic it felt. He gripped his sheets as a fearful response.

"He visits you all the time to check how you\'re doing. He was really worried when you collapsed and kept bugging us to "fix" you up" Damien ranted and realized that he was supposed to keep this a secret "oops... ahaha pretend you didn\'t hear that from me"

Gideon blinked in confusion.

"What?"
