After the flash died down Junak and Sebastian raced over to the team and saw a massive crater. At the the one side was a spot of ash and one of Lavender's pistols almost burnt beyond recognition, at the other end was a beat up May with her one arm burnt and a massive scar on her cheek.

Junak: Copy that.

Both of them split up and Sebastian quickly arrived at the kwikmart and once inside his nostrils were attacked by the metallic scent of blood. Being cautious he took out his katana and looked at the back. There he saw his answer to his question earlier, the dead corpse of Ray was being munched on by 2 ghouls. Sebastian's eyes glowed red as he slowly walked up to the ghouls and swung down.

Back at Junak he arrived at May's side and saw that she was still breathing, sighing a breath of relief he pulled out a few health potions and made her drink it. The wounds didn't heal and this made the little boy surprised, because the health potions usually heal everything.

???: Someone please help me!

A new voice broke the thinking kid's thoughts as he looked over and saw a girl running from 3 ghouls.

Junak: Guess I'll have to save her real quick he sighed and looked at his status he still had a bit of MP left so he decided to use a knife based skill.

Junak: [Slithering Snakes Bite]

His knife was coated with a neon green hue and he sprinted to the three ghouls; in 3 quick movements he decapitated the ghouls.

???: Thank you! I think I would have died if it wasn't for you!

Junak: No problem; with what squad are you?

???: I'm from Squad 2, we were attacked by a massive hoard of ghouls and were split up... I was ambushed by those three ghouls and just ran in a direction. My name's Sapphire Heart by the way.

Junak finally took notice of the person's appearance, she appeared to be 17 years old and she had shoulder long brown hair with the tips being a bright blue color, she had grey denim jeans that sat snugly on her legs with a pair of sneakers. She had brown eyes and had a patient mask over her mouth.

Junak: Junak Fathach, whats up with the mask?

Sapphire: Ah! I don't like germs. She said while fidgeting with her hands nervously.

Just as Junak was going to ask her more questions he heard May cough and saw a pool of blood was forming in the direction she was coughing. This sent red flags up as he quickly ran over and lifted her head and saw she was vomiting blood.

Sapphire: What happened to her?

Junak: She was attacked by a new ghoul and then we saw a white light and came over, when we arrived there was this hole and the ghoul was gone.

Sapphire: Alright, well take this as me repaying you for saving me, she said as she stood up and said a skills name.

Sapphire:[Mad Doctors Student]

She chanted and in her hands appeared a massive syringe that was about the size of her herself, in the syringe had a purple liquid that glowed softly.

Without saying anything she huffed and took the syringe in both hands and pressed the needle inside Mays chest. Nothing happened for a second before May glowed purple and all her wounds were recovered quickly.

Junak: That's quite the skill you have seeing as even the health potions couldn't heal her.

Sapphire: Yes its called Mad Doctor's Student, it allows me to heal any life threatening injury but it isn't perfect as it cant regrow missing limbs and it costs a lot of Mp to use.

After about a few seconds all of May's injuries were healed and she sat up moaning softly.

May: What happened she said in a soft voice.

Junak: We were hoping you could tell us.

Suddenly memories came flooding in the young girls mind and she looked around frantically.

May: Where is the ghoul???

Junak: Dead.

They were going to carry on talking when they saw Sebastian coming out of the store and sheathed his katana.

May ran over to him to ask him how Ray was doing but when she got to him and asked him he just shook his head. The girl broke down and started to cry out to the heavens, the team she's been with, no, her family was killed by one ghoul in mere moments; this would break anybody.

Random Girl: HEY YOU GUYS COME OVER TO THE BUILDING "HOTEL SANDERS", TIM IS HAVING A MEETING THERE!

All of them just nodded, Sebastian helped the crying girl up and held her as she cried and walked at the same time.

Sebastian: Who are you by the way? He looked over at Sapphire who was walking with them.

Sapphire: Sapphire Heart, it's a pleasure she blushed and looked away from the handsome teen.

Sebastian: Sebastian Topaz, same to you.

After about 10 minutes the group arrived and killed any ghouls that attacked them. In the hotel were all the survivors from the separate squads, it would seem all the squads were attacked just showing that the ghouls were more deadly in groups than when they were alone.

Earlier when everyone left the base there were hundreds of people now there was only few here and there, everyone was battered and bruised we aren't even talking about psychological issues and some were rocking back and forth and muttering to themselves.

At the back stood Tim, his amour chipped a few places here and there but other than that he was unharmed.

May: Sir, Team captain Ray Jones and the rest were killed in action... I am the only survivor. She said her eyes red and puffy from crying.

Tim: Dammit!

He cussed and punched the wall making cracks appear on the wall.

Tim: I was stupid for bringing everyone out here but we can't back down now... The base is only a few kilometers away. We will rest here the night and recover. When the sun comes up we move out! We will not let all these deaths be in vain.

May only nodded and walked back to the group. Once she arrived they walked over to an empty corner and pulled out sleeping bags from there inventory.

Sebastian: You guys can go sleep first, I need to sort out my inventory from all the drops OK?

All three of them: OK night.

Sebastian looked at them once more and opened his status.
