Descent of the Demon God

Chapter 6

Maybe he had to shoot the man in the thighs or the ankle at least. If this man was related in any way to the unidentified flying object that just dropped, then he had to arrest the man as ordered by the PSB.

‘When is the tactical team coming?’

But it seemed like it was too dangerous to arrest the man with just two officers and mere handguns. A man who could send trained police officers flying with the flick of his hand was either a Gatekeeper, or…

‘Yulin…’

That’s when Chun Yeowun started moving. Yimyung couldn’t think anymore and aimed his gun at the man’s thigh and pulled the trigger.

*bang*

He had to arrest the man alive, but he didn’t need to arrest him unharmed. That’s when something happened that shocked everyone.

*slash*

The crowd mumbled in shock and disbelief.

“Im…possible…”

“H… he just cut the bullet.”

Yimyung’s bullet from the handgun was cut in half and dropped to the asphalt ground. It wasn’t visible at first because the man had a cloak on his back, but now, Chun Yeowun had a white blade that he just pulled out from the back of his waist.

White Dragon Blade.

Along with the Sky Demon Sword, it was one of two legendary weapons that Chun Yeowun took pride in. Yimyung was finally able to confirm what this man was.

“Yulinian!”

It wasn’t sure why this man was dressed in medieval clothing, but the only one who could cut bullets was Yulinian, a man from Yulin, in this world.

‘But why a Yulinian dressed in such clothes is standing in the middle of…’

It was then.

“UGH!”

Chun Yeowun flashed and appeared in front of Yimyung at the moment. Yimyung became shocked and tried to aim his handgun again, but he wasn’t even given time.

“KEK!”

Yimyung was grabbed by the neck and dropped the gun from his hands. With a bit more pressure, it seemed like his neck was going to snap, so he had to drop the gun. Two officers on both sides became shocked and aimed their gun at Chun Yeowun, but Yeowun spoke without hesitance.

“You shall pay the price for using fire powder weapon against me.”

The choice of words and way of speaking sounded like he was acting as a man in medieval times, but it wasn’t time to think about that. Yimyung tried to get out of the grasp by using the jujitsu he learned when he was a cadet in the police academy. But…

‘W-what’s up with this grip?’

He couldn’t even pull a finger. It seemed like he was going to be choked to death at this rate.

“L-let him go!”

Officers then tried to pull their triggers, trying to help Yimyung. But…

*Slash!*

“M-My gun?!”

They couldn’t even see it, but their handguns were cut in two from their hands.

“Hieeek!!”

Both of them became so shocked and scared that they backed away in fear. What was shown was proof that this man could cut them to their death if he wanted it. This man wasn’t someone the three of them could apprehend. Chun Yeowun speak again.

“You said Yulinian… Are you talking about Yulin? Then you know must know about Yulin?”

“Ugh!”

Chun Yeowun clearly heard what the man had said. The man said ‘Yulinian’ when he saw Yeowun cutting the bullets fired at him. If a civilian who wasn’t trained in martial arts knew ‘Yulin,’ then this man should know something about it at least. Yeowun eased his grip to let the man speak.

“Ugh… cough, cough.”

Yimyung coughed as the grip on his neck eased. Chun Yeowun asked again.

“You, what do you know about Yulin?”

However, Yimyung asked back an unexpected question instead.

“Ugh…. You… are you unregistered Yulinian?”

Chun Yeowun frowned at the question.

“Unregistered…?”

Unless Yeowun was mistaken with understanding the word’s meaning, registering meant to report the information and record it somewhere. He wasn’t sure why a peacekeeper from the era was talking about such a thing.

‘What’s going on? Are there no nonaggression pacts with the government and Yulin in this era?’

Something was off. The way ‘register’ was used sounded as if Yulin was related to the government in this era. It seemed like this required further research. That’s when Yeowun found something weird while holding his grip on the man’s neck.

‘Huh? This man… he’s not a civilian. He has an internal ene…’

That’s when Yeowun found a small red dot appearing over his hand that was grabbing Yimyung’s neck.

‘What’s this?’

There was more than one of them. Nano’s voice rang through Yeowun’s head at the same time.

[Master, 30 sniper rifles are being aimed with laser pointers.]

And before it ended, Yeowun sensed trained, carefully organized movement of many people in the surroundings. He saw tens of men armed with helmets, bullet-proof vests and rifles moving in through the crowds and circling Yeowun. All of them had the PSB mark on their right side of the chests. They were the PSB special tactical forces.

‘It’s about time they’re here. Ugh.’

Yimyung, the 3rd Team Leader of the PSB Homicides Department grinned with his pale face that was still in Yeowun’s grip. He then said, “I guess the tide has turned, Mr. Unregistered Yulinian.”
