Up until now, a lot of students still congratulated Sakiko for her wonderful performance, completely taking her attention from Sasuke.

From the corner of her eyes, she could see him waiting for her under a tree with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

He looked calm and unperturbed by the activities and fans of his sister, but his eyes... They told a different story entirely.

A dark glint shone in his eyes as he stared blankly ahead. Somehow, a part of him felt unhappy that they took her away from him, but as soon as it came, he brushed it aside and shook his head.

"Hey, Sasuke-kun!"

A voice called from behind him, making him jolt a bit, but as quickly as it happened he masked it up with indifference and relaxed back against the tree.

From the corner of his eyes, he soon found the intruder and his already calm expression turned into a cold one.

"Why are you here? What do you want?" He asked the person, his eyes never leaving hers.

Hehe hahaha," she giggled a bit. A wide smile crept up her cheeks, making her eyes narrowed. "Is that any way to greet an old friend? Hmm, Sasuke-kunn?"

The softness in her voice mad laughter could melt almost every guy's heart, and Sasuke was part of those whom her facade couldn't break.

"Don't kid yourself. I never once considered you a friend."

"Ouch! That hurt my feelings, but you see... I have my eyes set on you."

"Stay away from her."

"You do not get to decide what I would do, Sasuke. Or have you forgotten all those years so soon?"

"It doesn't matter. The past is in the past now," he replied to her. His eyes felt more distant and cold than before.

"Is it? You pretend as though you do not know me, until how long can you pretend?"

"Do not come near her again. This is my final warning."

Not waiting for her reply, he walked away from the tree and headed in Sakiko's direction.

"Don't blame me for being like this. You had a choice," she said almost in a whisper and walked away.

Sakiko saw Sasuke walking her way and quickly bade everyone farewell. "Excuse me guys, I have got something to do," she said apologetically.

"Are you sure you have something to do Sakiko or someone to meet up with?"Ayumi asked her with a wink.

She moved closer to Ayumi's ear and whispered, "Hush, Ayumi-chan. Do not let the others hear you. Besides, I think you all have taken my time a lot today. It is only fair I will be with my best friend, don't you think?"

"So you are agreeing that something is going on between you two?" Ayumi said in a hushed tone.

"Na…" she was about refuting the statement when Sasuke spoke up from behind them, interjecting her statement.

They had seen him heading there, but didn't expect him to be so fast about it and worse, sneak up behind them like that.

"Sasuke! Don't scare a girl like that, young man," Ayumi playfully scolded him but failed miserably in her bid to put on a serious expression.

Sakiko burst into light laughter at her friend's failed attempt. "Ayumi-chan, do not scold Sasuke. Anyways, I need to leave now. Bye."

She hooked her arm in Sasuke's awaiting arm and waved her friends goodbye.

"Hey, why do you look gloomy?" She asked when her eyes went up to look at his face.

"You spent so much time with them and left me alone." He replied her with a pouted, sorry baby face.

With one brow raised, she looked at her brother's attempt to make her feel sorry for him and mumbled, "Really now?"

"What! Don't give me that look. Okay, it is my fault. Next time, I would go drag you from them myself."

"Good."

"Of course."

"I prefer it that way. Like this, it wouldn't be me who is ditching them. It would be that you stole me away and kept all my attention to yourself," she agreed to his statement with a mischievous smile playing across her face.

Sasuke couldn't help but sigh. At this point, everyone would get angry at him and not her, but he didn't care. Meaning he would have more time to be with her.

"Who cares? It just gives me more time with you."

He arched his brows several times at her, his own mischievous grin decorating his already handsome face, making him look all the cuter.

"How can you be this cute when you do this, huh?" She smacked his arm playfully as they headed for the school building.

"Because I am Sasuke."

"Hahaha…"

They talked and joked, till they got inside the building and headed for their respective changing rooms.

"Hey, Sakiko," he called out her name when they got to the top of the staircase.

"Hmm!"

"Time for a shower and get changed. Meet you out in fifteen minutes?"

"Sure. Just wait for me here when you are done."

"Okay."
