Suddenly, Esmeralda erupted in peals of laughter. "You are funny, child! Believe me, those bloodthirsty vampires don\'t like the blood of an old woman like me. They prefer virgin women\'s blood like yours!"

Kate pouted. "But why you must go back there? You already saved me! No need to go back there!" she protested.

Esmeralda rolled her eyes. "I need to go back there so that I can teach those vampires a lesson!" she reasoned. "But if you are brave enough, you can come with me and see them again. Do you still want to come with me?"

"I..I...dunno know anymore," Kate stammered. If she comes with Esmeralda and the vampires will charge at them, she will only hinder the granny\'s movement. She doesn\'t even have any power to protect herself, how can she help granny if they are under attack? She will only become a baggage to granny.

It\'s obvious that those vampires are angry right now and if they see granny again they will surely retaliate and there\'s going to be a huge fight between them, she will be caught in the middle and worst, she might be captured again. Granny\'s initial effort will be put in vain.

No, she can\'t allow that to happen!

She must remain here and wait for granny\'s return.

Esmeralda looked at Kate. "What now—child?"

Kate smiled and shook her head. "You can go now, Granny. I\'m no longer interested to go with you even if my hands are itching to give those bastards a kick on their stomach and a slap on their faces. But I\'m thinking that I might only hinder you. Good luck, Granny, and please come home safely!" she said in a heartfelt voice.

Esmeralda smiled. "Alright child, I will surely deliver your wishes to them!" She turned on her heels, open the door, closed it behind her, and left the house.

Kate went to the window and saw Esmeralda talking the tree and her eyes widened when she saw her entered the body of the tree and disappeared inside.

She was blown away by what she had witnessed!

She went back to the mattress and kept recalling in her mind what she had just witness!

All of a sudden, the blanket was taken away from her and Esmeralda peered at her face.

She asked, "Granny! Why you\'re here? I thought...you went to the vampires\' territory?"

Esmeralda nods her head. "I\'ve changed my mind. Come with me to the vampire\'s territory! You want revenge, right?"

Kate\'s nodded her head. "A slap on their faces...that would be enough for me!"

Esmeralda laughed. "Slapping those blood sucker\'s faces is too light punishment for them. Anyways...that would be enough for now!" She grabbed Kate\'s hand. "Come with me!"

But Kate hesitated, fear was showing in her eyes. "B-but...I\'m afraid to see them again, Granny!"

"Don\'t worry about that. I have a solution to your fears..."

"What is it?"

Esmeralda whispered something in Kate\'s ears that brought a smile on the girl\'s face.

Kate continues smiling, together they exited the house and sauntered towards the tree.

"Ready?"

"Yes, I\'m ready!" Kate answered.

Esmeralda holds Kate\'s hand firmly, assuring the girl that she won\'t let her go no matter what. "Close your eyes now, Kate," she said gently.

Kate closed her eyes and they moved forward entering the body of the tree. They remained inside the body of the tree for a brief seconds.

A few minutes later.

They resurfaced in front of the vampire brothers.

Maxwell, Xenon, and Lothaire\'s eyes grew huge upon seeing Kate and Esmeralda back in front of them. Surprisingly, their vision was finally restored!

"Esmeralda...can you please released us from this condition that you put us through?" Maxwell pleaded.

Esmeralda snickered in amusement. "Ah, I see... you want to be free, guys! Don\'t worry, I will set you free but I have a friend here who wants to get her revenge first...Be warned if you touch her, I won\'t release you from your condition."

She turned to the girl beside her and whispered in her ears. "Go ahead, you can slap their faces as many times as you want! But avoid kicking them on the stomach because as of now they are under my power and their bodies were as hard as metals, you will only hurt your feet," she warned her.

Kate grinned. She advances going to the brothers, her eyes flashing with hatred, and without further ado...PAK...PAK...PAK!... she slapped their faces twice, left and right.

The act was done in just a few seconds. Then Kate returned to Esmeralda\'s side feeling satisfied.

The brothers were stunned!

They\'re not used to women hurting them physically, it\'s the first time a woman dares to slap them!

Maxwell gritted his teeth in anger.

Xenon\'s hands formed into a fist.

While Lothaire hangs his head in shame. \'Well...it\'s just a slap on the face, it stings for a few seconds but the pain was already gone. The important thing is they can move their body after this ordeal!\' he thought to himself.

Esmeralda clapped her hands in glee. "Amazing guys! The way you control yourself while your victim slapped you is a sight to behold! I\'m impressed with your self-control! Because of that, I will set you free now! But I will warn you again, do not take this girl away from me ever again!"

Esmeralda waved her hand at the three brothers.

Immediately...sand particles were slowly coming out from their body parts, specifically from their mouth...nose...ears and eyes. All the sand particles floated in the air for a few seconds and landed in Esmeralda\'s palm.

The moment the brothers realized that they can finally move their body...

"Attack!" Xenon shouted at the dark armies of dark shadow waiting nearby.

In a flash... a throng of dark shadows flew towards Esmeralda and Kate\'s location. They were swarmed by the shadows within seconds and soon enough every inch of their bodies was covered by the dark shadows.

A few seconds later...Esmeralda\'s laughter vibrated inside the room. "That\'s rude, guys! You are bullying me again! Sad to say...your armies of dark shadows can\'t harm us! Adios!"

And the voice vanished.

"Retreat!" Xenon barked his order at the dark shadows.

The dark shadows parted...and as expected Esmeralda and Kate were nowhere to be found!

The brothers realized that they were just projection, so real...yet fake!

"Damn, that old hag!" Maxwell hissed in anger. His eyes went slit in rage. He turned on his heel.

"Bro, where are you going?" asked Lothaire.

"Someone needs to pay for what Kate has done to us!" Maxwell replied in an agitated voice.

"Y-you mean?" Xenon asked in glee.

Maxwell\'s nose was flaring with anger. "I\'m going to Ivy\'s room! She has to pay for what her sister has done to us!" he responded in a hard tone.

Maxwell disappeared from the room in seconds.
