"...I didn't realize you really put regard on Feng's words." Qiao Shan chuckled helplessly, admitting to herself that she could not do it if she had to tell him. She then turned to Liu Xiaodan who was grimacing at her instead. He answered, "I don't really like hearing him complain so much. His voice is annoying to me."

It was strange to think that someone was actually annoyed by Li Feng's comforting manly voice. Then again, Qiao Shan was not talking with another woman that was charmed by the prince of the Li family. Liu Xiaodan was probably one of those that used to be overshadowed by such an overachiever like Li Feng. Too bad that Li Feng's future was ruined by the events related to the demon child.

Soon, another set of footsteps ran towards them. To their surprise, it was Mo Xingli again. She was still crying and would even go straight to Liu Xiaodan's waist and hide behind him. Before Qiao Shan could tell what was happening, they felt an entity coming closer. Instead of an innocent greeting, the woman that floated into their sights growled loudly.

Liu Xiaodan's eyes then landed on Mian Qingwei again. He actually smiled at her. "Miss Qingwei, let's not fight. You will only lose, and your brother will be very sad."

"Brother? Feng'er?" Mian Qingwei wanted to attack, but since Liu Xiaodan wasn't making a move, she only kept her guard up. However, the things that he was talking about sounded strange to her. Li Feng might be one of the popular people that every member knew about, but that didn't mean he would be so close to every other member of the Mian family. "Why would he be sad?"

"...I meant Mian Qingtao. He's your brother, right? He actually wants to look for you, but he can't find you in places he was allowed to enter." Liu Xiaodan decided to converse with her instead. This woman was a transcendent—partly human. That meant that he couldn't drag her into his shadow like some ghost.

"Qingtao?" Mian Qingwei's eyes widened, but then she grinned like she was angry and crazed. "There's no way he would be here. The Qiao family had already killed him. Hahaha, there's no way my brother is here. You lie to me! How dare you use my brother against me?!"

She then got on the ground, her body phasing like turning into another ghost that she had eaten. This action was actually meaningless to Liu Xiaodan's eyes. He had already shown this woman that he could easily defeat her. She didn't have to be so stubborn in picking a fight.

Liu Xiaodan frowned. He had no proof of meeting Mian Qingtao, but the man was in the Rooms Hall. It might be problematic if he took her there. "Miss Qingwei, please think. How else would I know your name? How else would Feng think you're here if we didn't hear about it from your brother?"

The woman still changed her forms, and Liu Xiaodan really didn't want to harm her anymore. Before he could say something, he felt like something actually went through his back. He held onto his c.h.e.s.t, and blood began to blot from inside. Moreover, the wound burned so badly that Liu Xiaodan felt like his energy was also being taken away from him. He started to wobble… bang! Bang! Bang!

Three more bullets went through him, and the man fell to the floor. Mian Qingwei looked in front of her and saw a man holding a gun. Bang! He shot her as well, but she quickly phased onto being a ghost and evaded fluidly. She glared at the man, but she pulled back into the darkness.

"X-Xiaodan!" Qiao Shan was shocked, but when she saw the person responsible for the bullets, she didn't want to act like she cared about the man bleeding on the floor. Her eyes only averted from the newcomer's gaze. "You found us, Sergeant Song."

"Of course, I did." Song Qixi then looked at the man on the floor. He then reloaded his magnum as he took a look at the damage his gun had done to Liu Xiaodan's back. "Is he still alive? Queen's blood should be able to activate after a few more minutes. For now, he should be immobile."

Chu Youlan bit her lip as she pitied the man on the ground. Also, the ten-year-old that was supposed to be hiding behind him. However, just as she wanted to speak with Mo Xingli, the girl's head suddenly met with a magnum bullet to the face. The woman screamed in fright before turning to Song Qixi who put another bullet in his gun.

Holstering the magnum back on his waist, Song Qixi only stared at Qiao Shan. "Carry him. We'll take him somewhere he wouldn't be able to use his abilities."

"...and the child?" Qiao Shan dragged Liu Xiaodan and onto her shoulders.

"Busy with Qiao Ni." Song Qixi hummed as he led the group again. This time, he wouldn't fail his tasks. It's just that Chu Youlan suddenly grabbed his wrist. Her action was not unfounded as Song Qixi had also seen the dead body walking to stand before them.

The sergeant aimed without words, but he still needed a few seconds to reach for his gun. The dead body dashed swiftly towards them, and Qiao Shan had to drop Liu Xiaodan roughly to summon Hongfei and block the attack. However, the dead body instantly retreated when the demon was unleashed. It fled away again, and Qiao Shan went to chase it down.

Chu Youlan stepped back in fright, and she then felt like something had grabbed onto her head and dragged her to the ground. She screamed and alerted Song Qixi, but the sergeant didn't manage to grab her hand. He didn't even know why it appeared like she and Liu Xiaodan had fallen into the floor.

In just a few seconds, they were all separated again. Song Qixi gritted his teeth. "Next time, I shoot the head."

The bullets were actually very painful even to Kings. It was just good that God Raven was used to fighting Abaddon so this kind of pain was not something that could paralyze him. It paralyzed Liu Xiaodan though. Still, God Raven didn't want to experience it again so the black bird pulled the two into his portal.

The King dragged them three floors above even if it used the floor to escape. God Raven could teleport freely like Guangru, but it was very limited by the distance it could travel. Three floors were the furthest it could go.

It then eyed Chu Youlan who was on the floor, crawling back away from the black bird. God Raven actually narrowed its gaze on her as it started to creep closer. "I don't really choose which human to pick, but I have a feeling that I could be eating you without Xiaodan disapproving it."

"No, please… oh, my God..." Chu Youlan trembled so badly out of fear, and she had even peed in her spot. "Help… someone, help me!"
