Moving quickly under the light of the moon Jiang Tian tried to move as quickly as he could towards the territory of the Meng Clan. The Red City was split into the Meng Clan and Jiang Clan and the fourth district where he currently was is a part of the Meng Clan area.

He wasn't that familiar with the area despite the fact that he had lived here for all his life. The in the distance Jiang Tian saw three guards that was patrolling around at night, the moment he saw those three a crept up onto his face.

The three guards was not aware that Jiang Tian was there so when he suddenly appeared behind of one of them nobody notice him.

One of them heard something and turned around and what he saw was nothing, nothing because the guy that was previously behind him was now gone. In his mind the guy must've only went to slack off somewhere but what he didn't know was that a body was already lying down on the ground lifeless in the corner of one of the houses.

Jiang Tian went back on his way without wasting any more time, he knew that the Shin and Mo Xin was behind him so he was not willing to let them get any closer to him by wasting his time in killing more people than he should.

Swoosh Swoosh

Two arrows was heard splitting the air as it flew to Jiang Tian's position, feeling the cold air behind him Jiang Tian shivered. But before he could even and have a good look one of the arrow was already about to reach him as it was only about twenty meters away from him.

Jiang Tian was once more in trouble, the arrow flew towards him in an attempt to pierce his head and kill him in one go. Dodging the arrow of Mo Xin he twisted his body f.o.r.c.i.b.l.y.

Jiang Tian was able to successfully able to dodge one of the arrows but the other one was a different story, not having any means to dodge the other arrow Jiang Tian could only grit his teeth and use his Spiritual Energy so he can soften the blow that he will receive.

Shi

Dripping in blood Jiang Tian held his left shoulder, the arrow was stuck onto him and went pass the flesh that was on his shoulder, the arrow head still carried bits of flesh with it making it look really horrible.

"Nice Mo Xin, hehe, you're going to die here now. And if I were you I will let myself get captured quietly than get myself get tortured later by me." Shin's voice was suddenly heard by Jiang Tian, his laughing voice was full of gloating as he look on at the pitiful image of Jiang Tian that was mocking him earlier.

"Come now don't make this any harder for us and yourself, if you go and apologize to me now I just might forgive you for talking to me like that."

Hearing what Shin had just said Jiang Tian suddenly felt the urge to kill him now, he was beginning to get into his nerves acting like that "Shut up you nobody, don't act like you're the one that made that shot."

Shin's face turned green from anger hearing Jiang Tian but he was not able to say anything back to him as what he had just said was a fact, Mo Xin was the one that made the shot and not him so why was he acting like that?

Feeling like he had been shamed once more Shin felt the anger that he had with him earlier was beginning to rise up once again. Stomping his foot down on the ground he shot out towards the direction of Jiang Tian at full speed.

"Die you bastard." Flames suddenly enveloped the body of Shin and went the dagger that he was holding "Ember Dagger!"

The heat travelled in the air, feeling the sudden rise of temperature around his surrounding Jiang Tian felt danger coming from Shin. Not only that, but his escape route was also sealed off as a wall made by flame was suddenly erected from behind him.

"Ember Wall, you don't have place to escape now you bastard." Shin gave a vicious laughed as his eyes flashed with cruelty and ruthlessness.

This tactic was the favorite of Shin, he would trap his opponent in a wall of flames from behind while he would jumped to them with the Ember Dagger. One of the weakness of a dagger was its short reach but because of the Ember Wall trapping the opponent from behind they would without a doubt move forward to avoid getting burn by the wall of flame.

Jiang Tian was about to be slashed by the dagger of Shin and with the Ember Wall behind him he was left with no way to escape, he was not able to move sideways as Shin would without a doubt would be able to reach him and there was also a chance of an arrow piercing his head so the option of dodging to thee side was sealed.

Shin became closer and closer to Jiang Tian and the more he became closer the more his smile widen, then when he was at the right distance from his prey shin slashed with his dagger with all his might as he tried to cut him into two.

However he wasn't even able to feel a slight resistance from the edge of the dagger when it comes into contact with flesh of someone else. And the reason for this was simple Jiang Tian was already gone from where he was standing from.

Looking at the empty place where Jiang Tian's corpse should be positioned at made Shin confused [Where is he?]

Confusion to surface in his head, the Ember Wall that was that lighting up the area started to dissipate and as it did the sound of arrows being shot started to appear once again.

Three arrows where fired from Mo Xin's bow, hearing this Shin turned his head and looked at the place where he was shooting at and what he saw was the image of a young man that had the upper part of his clothes burned to the ground.

This young man was obviously Jiang Tian, his clothes was burned off by the heat of the Ember Wall when it he used the Flash Step to avoid the Ember Dagger of Shin. He took a gamble when he jumped in the flames earlier but now he was thanking himself for taking it.

The Ember Wall was a martial technique that have the properties of a flame that had the capabilities tp burn most of the people that's below the ninth level of Body Refinement. But Jiang Tian didn't hesitate to jumps into the flames earlier so he can avoid the dangerous dagger of Shin.

The Ember Wall was indeed a powerful martial technique but it had a weakness and that was it needed time before it could completely burn off someone and Jiang Tian knew of this so the only thing that he needed to do was to use incredible speed to pass through the wall of flames.

This sound easy and all but in reality it wasn't, jumping into fire takes a lot of courage to do so and considering that you needed to have a considerable fast speed in order to do so made it even harder. But Jiang Tian's Flash step was a technique like this, a technique that ignites the spiritual energy inside the body to gain instantaneous movement was the thing that made his escape possible from the trap of Shin.

Jiang Tian saw the arrows quickly making its way towards his direction and when he did he took out the short sword that was on his waist to deflect the incoming arrows. An arrow that can be seen was different from an arrow that was shot by surprise so he was easily able to deflect all three arrows.

And after he did he didn't linger in there and made his escape as he went deeper to the Meng Clan area. Not looking back Jiang Tian made use of his remaining strength to increase his speed and as he was running he also took the arrow that was stuck on his shoulder.

"Ah! Shin is not that simple after all, who would've known he had this kind of technique? That Ember Dagger and Ember Wall were both techniques that can utilized the elements of the heaven and although it seems that he is only capable of using the element of flame it's still troublesome.

"That technique burned the masked and the whole attire that I was wearing except for my pants, I have to find more guards or the longer this drags the more disadvantageous my position would be." Jiang Tian move with fast speed as he went around the fourth district.

Then as he was looking around he saw another three guards that were patrolling around the place, this time when he saw them he didn't even try to hide his presence to kill them silently as he quickly made his way towards them in full force.

The man that was closest to Jiang Tian's position suddenly turn his head around when he heard the sound of the air being torn and when he saw Jiang Tian moving closer to them he felt his knees shake from fear as he look at that bloodied and burned body of his.

Jiang Tian didn't waste his time, when he reached the three guards he grabbed the first man that already got a look of his face and slashed with the short sword that he had with him, after decapitating one of them he went to the other one and took his head too, and as for the last one he made a downward slashed and cleave to cleave the body of the remaining guard into two.

The guards weren't able to do anything where he was attack, Jiang Tian took a piece of cloth from the body of the three and wrapped it around his face to conceal to his face in order to avoid being caught by someone that was familiar with his face.

After killing two guards at the third level and one that was at the fourth level of Body Refinement Jiang Tian mumbled to himself "I only need another seven hundred experience points to level and once I get to the eight level those two will pay for this."

Seeing the arrows coming to his way Jiang Tian started moving deeper in the Meng Clan territory.

In the Jiang Clan Jiang Yi was seating on a chair as he worked on his calligraphy to keep his mind tranquil, as he was about to finish the final stroke a voice suddenly came from outside.

"Captain Jiang, I have urgent matters to report." A silhouette suddenly came inside his room and kneeled on his knee.

"We have gained report regarding the man that's going around at night killing the Meng Clan guards. The report came from our people in the fourth district they said that the man was currently being pursued by two men and seemed to have suffered grievous injury."

Jiang Yi was listening to the man that was in front of him report and the more he listened the delighted he became, but upon seeing that the man was still not done he said "What else do you know?"

"It's regarding the identity of this man, when he was being pursued the cover that was covering his face was burned off by an attack made by his pursuers and because of that our people was able to see who the man was…" The man stop, he seem choked on what he was going to say.

Seeing this Jiang Yi became angry and shouted at him "Come on out with it! Who is this man that have been helping us?"

The guard became scared by Jiang YI's attitude and said "It.. it's Young Master Jiang captain."
