Her buddy was confused by her look.

Normally, her Sister Mian only had two states of existence: being happy and unhappy.

But the Sister Mian who was standing in front of her right now… seemed to behave like a girl who had just fallen out of love!

Gong Qiao, though, seemed to be in the know as he gave a sneaky smile. “Someone has touched the heart of our Sister Mian here…”

The girl heard this and with her pulling a long and ugly expression, she was about to reach out her hand to teach her buddy a good lesson when the boy broke into a silly smile all of a sudden.

Walking up to massage her shoulders, he pacified, “Don’t be angry, Sister Mian. I was just spouting nonsense. General Zhan’s disappearance is a problem, indeed. No matter what, he is still your husband legally… How about this? I’ll send someone to investigate. Surely, we’ll be able to find out exactly where and what he is doing!”

Jiang Mianmian rolled her eyes at him. Despite her bad attitude, this was a silent approval to his suggestion.

Gong Qiao got the news at seven in the evening.

The man was in a dinner engagement at Floral Capital Hotel, inside Room One.

Her men waited for her decision.

Her eyes did a quick turn. Beaming like a mischievous fox, she licked her lips and asked smilingly, “Lemme see… Floral Capital is known for their foie gras and right now, I feel like having red wine foie gras. What say you?”

Gong Xiaoqi was the first to raise her hand, “I like foie gras, too. I want to try cheese foie gras!”

Another girl chipped in, “I heard Floral Capital has nice desserts too… Let’s go to Floral Capital, then.”

Gong Qiao immediately booked a cabin room and the gang left together for the hotel.

Inside the cabin room.

Jiang Mianmian had just finished her third piece of foie gras when Gong Qiao poured her a glass of red wine. “Sister Mian, don’t eat so fast. You’ll be full with just the appetizers if you continue this way. Come, drink some wine first.”

By then, she had lost her patience with the main dish. Picking up the wine glass, she downed the drink in one gulp.

Standing up, she patted her buddy’s shoulder and instructed, “You lead them in the fun. I’ll go and wash my hands.”

Gong Xiaoqi quickly yelled as she disappeared with her back on them. “Sister Mian, don’t be silly, our cabin has a washroom!”

Gong Qiao slapped the back of her head and said, “You’re the dense one here!”

The girl’s plan was simple enough. It was nothing unusual to barge into the wrong cabin when one was in a tipsy state.

What she wanted to do was to aim for his seat, walk up to him and throw herself into his arms while looking drunk.

After he carried her to the car and while sending her back, she could then interrogate him on his disappearance for the past week!

She soon found him.

He was in a black tuxedo and looked gentlemanly with a glass of red wine in his hand.

But sitting beside her was a beautiful lady.

The lady was looking down. She was wearing a gracious smile on her face as she was talking to him with her head lowered.

From afar, the lady looked classy and elegant in her faint colored long gown as she sat there with her light makeup and low hair bun.

Jiang Mianmian found her looking familiar and suspected that she might have seen her at a formal gathering. This lady must be someone extraordinary.

Just when she was debating if she should carry out her plan…

A small figure suddenly dashed towards the man and flung themselves into his embrace. “Why can’t godfather play with me? Goddaddy agreed to play with me earlier!”

The girl was thoroughly stunned.

Godfather?

Is this kiddo calling Zhan Muqian his godfather?

The woman picked up the child from the man’s arms, carried the cherubic-faced kid in her arms and coaxed, “Darling, your godfather is talking to your uncles now. He’ll play with you later, alright. What do you want to play? Mommy will play with you first.”

Jiang Mianmian’s head was swirling.

She only had a glass of wine earlier but somehow, she could feel the world turning at her feet as she hurriedly escaped from the room. Slowing down, she held onto the wall to steady herself.
