Kai\'s POV

The inside of the palace was way more beautiful than the outside ,it was ten times more beautiful than​​

Ouroboros palace, it was so decorated and furnished. Guards were enforced at every corner of the

palace to prevent any kind of mishappen.

"My lord this way, you should get some rest" the commander of the knights moved his hand to show the

way ahead.

"Stop!" A voice echoed through the corridor.

"What do you think you\'re doing?" a maid yelled at the commander.

"wha- what do you mean what I\'m doing, I\'m doing my job!" She said with a proudy voice.

"Your task was only to escort the king in the palace, after that it\'s the work of the royal maids to provide

hospitality" the head maid yelled.

To me the servants of the palace seemed strictly devoted. While | was just thinking about all this, the

maid who was yelling a minute ago approached me.

"Apologies, my majesty for this inconvenience, please follow me".

The head maid was accompanied by three other maids who looked like interns who work with

companies in order to gain experience. They were young, might\'ve been just about sixteen or seventeen

years old.

After walking for like next fifteen minutes we were in a hallway that was parted in three ways ,the head

maid who was ahead of us stopped walking.

\'We\'re here, my majesty this way will lead you to your master cabin and here meet your personal maids

Rose, Mary and Lily they will accompany you everywhere, if you need anything please ask them, | may

take my leave now".

The head maid left after bowing to me and others, everyone was amazed after looking at how

professionally the servants did their job.

It was already an hour since we came into the palace, and yet nothing exciting had happened, | was

laying on my bed and was waving my legs in the air out of boredom. While | was busy in this | saw

someone else doing something in my room, | moved my head to look at the person and it was Rose the

maid who was assigned as one of my personal maids.

"Hey! You are Rose right??".

"How old are you and how long have you been working here?". | asked.

"Uh umm I\'m sixteen, my lord, It\'s been three months since I\'ve started working here".

"Oh! You\'re just one and half year younger than me by the way, why is it too silent around here | thought

there would be a party or something" Kai nagged.

"My lord, I\'ve heard that there will be a party, but it\'ll be after some ritual | guess well..... | don\'t know

much about it though" Rose replied in a nervous tone.

"Ah, | see so—"

[knock... knock] someone was at the door "My lord please get ready, you need to attend the council of

royal houses in an hour". Came a deep voice.

"Oh Lee is that you??Alright I\'ll go get ready".

After dressing myself in a traditional Leviathan suit, which was quite beautiful and comfortable, | felt like

a true king while wearing the dress, for the first time in my life something was specially made for me.

Within fifteen minutes, I arrived in the main auditorium where all the lords of the estate we\'re waiting

for my presence . The auditorium was huge, there were seats arranged in a special order, | leaned over

and asked Rose why their seating arrangement was so odd.

"My majesty, they are all lords of the estate and this arrangement is arranged according to their house

position. The highest house is sitting in the front while the lower houses are sitting at the back".

"That\'s so unfair! Who the hell made this rule". | was kinda annoyed by this filthy system.

"Nobody made this rule, it\'s just how the higher houses had discriminated the lower houses and

because of the last sixty- seven years there was no king ,so no one was at that place who could have

stopped this, that\'s why the higher houses dominate the lower one brutally ".

"I see, wait who.... —" Kai narrowed his sight and focused his vision on something particular.

"Why is Ouroboros sitting on the ground??" . He was so shocked.

"Rose why is he on the ground??Answer mel!!!"

"Um, my majesty, as | told you the higher houses dominate the lower ones , Ouroboros is a mixed breed

house so they\'re considered the lowest and most dishonoured house of all, I\'ve heard tales that first

Ouroboros slept with a serpent out of lust and produced a hybrid offspring that was a devil-serpent mix

and should\'ve been disposed, but the king at that time stopped the execution. That\'s why they\'re

considered impure and an abomination. That\'s what people tell about the Ouroboros house"

"That\'s absurd and is a lie—"

"My majesty, welcome to the Counsil of the lords!!!" an elderly woman approached Kai.

"Please let me introduce myself, I\'m Ruhohg the \'Arch priest\' of Leviathan household for last 137 years

and I\'ll be supervising the Verification Ceremony to tell if you\'re worthy or not!!!"
