The next morning, Cali and Rui got up to start their usual routine and prepared to go to school.

Cali wondered what was installed for them that day. They would surely meet Candice every day in the college since it was one of the major subjects in the culinary arts.

"Cali, let's go inside together today. I don't think it's still required for you to leave first." Rui said when Cali was about to go out of the car.

"Okay," Cali readily agreed. Rui was right because almost everyone in their class already knew about their set-up as a family friend and their patient-doctor relationship as well.

They encountered Candice in the second lecture of the day. She commended Candice in her heart and praised her as one of the best professors she ever had as she did not even yawn once throughout the lecture and easily grasped everything she taught.

She had a lively class where she let every student actively participate in telling their inputs and perspectives.

"So you see, herbs are really important, but then again there are plants that can also bring discomfort and cause allergies to some customers. It's highly important that you familiarize yourself with them." Candice explained with a wink.

Cali's face crumpled because Candice's eyes were directed towards Rui when she winked.

'What the heck? Is she flirting with my doctor in the open like that? Seriously? That shameless woman!' she silently snarled.

Though she was enjoying Candice's class, Cali still relaxed and sighed with relief as soon as her class ended because she could no longer witness the woman's shameless flirting with her Doc, but to her horror… When she and Rui were about to get out of the room.

The shameless woman suddenly chimed, "Mr. Dee, stay… I have something to discuss with you."

Cali and Rui's eyes met. Rui looked like someone who was trapped and asking for help with those begging eyes.

"I'll go first…" Cali whispered and she went out.

Rui silently watched her leave the room.

"Don't you dare follow her? Let her realize what her heart truly feels." Rui heard Candice order him as she comfortably sat on her chair and opened a lollipop.

Rui's face cringed as he mumbled, "Stop eating so many sweets. You should watch out your sugar intake."

Candice chuckled and said, "Are you somehow worried about me now?"

Rui shook his head and got up to walk out, but Candice stopped him and said, "Don't go yet and sit in front of me. Wait for five minutes more, you impatient lover-boy…"

Rui dropped his shoulders and complained, "Can't you just call me by my name? Why are you giving me another nickname?"

"Shhh…" Candice mumbled as she stood up and approached Rui with a wicked grin on her beautiful face.

"What are you doing?" Rui asked as he started to get uncomfortable. Candice was too close, and she even leaned closer.

"Relax lover boy, and let's stay like this for ten seconds. Ten... nine... eight... seven…" Candice whispered in his ear as she started the countdown as if waiting for something to happen.

"Two… One…"

"Rui!" Cali's voice resounded in the empty classroom calling out for him. She stood at the open door of the room with her bloodthirsty gaze that made Rui jump on his feet.

"See…" Candice whispered, followed by a flick of her finger on Rui's nose.

Candice then straightened her body and turned around. Cali walked in the room and was standing only a meter away from them now.

"Oh Cali dear. Don't you have to attend your next class?" Candice asked with her sweetest tone.

Rui looked at the annoyed face of Cali and could not help but admire how Candice's movements were so precise and so was the timing.

Cali was frowning and she looked agitated.

"Me and Rui both need to attend our next class." Cali reiterated.

Candice's eyebrows raised as she mumbled, "But Rui and I are still having fun. You go ahead. Rui will follow soon."

"No! I'm picking up my boyfriend right away!" Cali asserted.

Rui was trying his best not to grin while watching Cali fight over him with Candice. It was so amusing to see and witness Cali's possessive reaction.

"Darling… Do you already have a girlfriend? But Dr. CEO told me you're still single?" Candice turned to Rui and questioned in a demanding tone.

Ignoring Candice, Cali walked up to him and immediately grabbed Rui's hand and pulled him up from his chair.

"Let's go…" Cali stated.

"Alright, darling you can go for now. As long as you're not married… I will still have a chance to steal you from your girlfriend." Cali heard Candice candidly announce her evil intentions.

She looked at Candice with her narrowed sharp eyes as she said, "Go over my dead body first before I let you do that!"

Candice laughed scornfully and said, "Sweetie, you are cute but what can you do? You better watch out… Because I always get what I want and if I want Rui…"

"Well this time you will fail," Cali chided as she immediately pulled Rui out of the room holding his hand tightly.

Outside, Cali still held Rui's hand as she scolded, "What the hell is wrong with you?! Why did you not leave the room the instant she started seducing you!"

"She was not seducing me but simply talking to me, Cali, and asking me to go out whenever I could be free since she was getting bored staying alone in this country." Rui lied.

He was rejoicing inside and was very grateful to Candice's effective tactics. As he expected, Cali was hugely bothered by Candice attempting to gain his attention.

"From now on, you just stay by my side whenever we attend her class. If she needs anything from you, I must always be present there!" Cali instructed in an annoyed voice.

She didn't leave for the next class a while ago and kept waiting outside near the door of the room. A couple of minutes passed and Rui was still not going out so she felt worried. Her fertile mind even imagined a lot of inappropriate scenes happening inside the room for Candice trying to seduce Rui, so she decided to suddenly barge in.

That Candice was a hustler! If she was late by even a few seconds she might have ended up witnessing a kissing scene between them! And just the thought of anyone else kissing him was enough for making her blood boil in anger and frustration.

Rui smiled because Cali was still holding his hand tightly while they walked towards the room of their next lecture.

"I told you Candice is a very persistent woman… You have to cage me well Cali or else she would destroy everything and use any means she can to get me." Rui encouraged her with a bright smile.
