Ever heard the sound of silence? It's like a high-pitch note inside the ear which you can only hear when you're alone, when no one's with you. When there's no other sound. It's quite annoying yet soothing. Nerve-wrecking, but satisfying. It's calming, but it makes you feel lonely, sometimes it even makes you cry. It doesn't stop even if you cover your ears because it's already silent. I've been hearing it for days now. I tried ignoring it yet I couldn't. The sharp tone is ear-piercing which you can only stop through another sound. I thought it had always been that way until today, I learned that there is actually no sound of silence... There is only the agonizing scream of the thousands of voices inside my head waiting to get out. They are the screams of the people I killed who's soul I cannot release into the after-life.
