Chapter 4 - 004 - Growing Up Part 3
[Word Count: 768, please give mod recommendations! Like a clothing mod, magic mod, NPC mod, anything will do! Also starting the next chapter we will begin some serious time skipping, also shortish chapter, it's short because I want enough time to write another chapter for all of you]
After a few hours passed and with no luck of unlocking any more memories, my mother returned from work.
"You ready?" My mom asked me.
I nodded enthusiastically.
For the first time since I reincarnated into this world, I will finally leave the house!
Without leaving the village I could tell already that we were in an Elven village, besides that I don't know what the rest of the world is like!
I stepped out the door and looked towards the vibrant sky and the vibrant village surrounded by thick woods!
If I were to compare this world to earth I would say that it was like comparing a dim old light to a bright and colorful brand new light! The difference was huge!
And compared to Earth this world was much more beautiful...
As I walked along the dirt path across the village I witnessed a few dozen villagers going about their daily lives, some were hunters, others were butchers and I couldn't but smile at how peaceful the village was.
As we walked by everyone my mother greeted them and seemed to personally know each of the villagers.
"How do you know all of them?" I asked.
"Sweety, I grew up in Thorn Village, I have known everyone in the village since I grew up!" she informed me.
"Once, I visited the Elven Capital and witnessed the Elven Queen giving a speech about the increasing number of slavers entering our Great Elven Forest and how they were taking measures in stopping them," she informed me.
'Slavers?'
'Although this world is shockingly beautiful it's full of dangers...'
We soon arrived at a large hut in the village where my mother politely knocked on the door and asked "Elder Burk, are you there?"
Within a few seconds, the door of the shack opened revealing an Old Elf wearing robes.
"Ah yes, Lucy is this your child? What's his name?" Elder Burk asked.
"His name is Apollo, Elder Burk," My mother introduced me.
"Apollo Eh? So you wish to have him take the tests?" Elder Burk asked my mother who responded with a nod.
"I see, wait here, I will be right back," Elder Burk said before walking back into his home and returning a minute later with two crystal orbs in his hands.
"These Crystals are called Magic and Qi Crystals, they test whether you can use Qi or Mana and what Magic Affinity you have if you can use magic," Elder Burk explained.
"Which test would you like to take first?" He asked.
"The Magic Test," I answered in an instant.
"Ok, please place your hand on the Crystal," he told me.
I did as he told me to and to my surprise...nothing happened...
"Sigh, he doesn't have an Affinity for Magic..." Elder Burk said with a sigh.
I couldn't help but become depressed upon hearing this...learning that magic exists in this world and I can't even use it?
"Now place your hand on the Qi Crystal," he told me.
'I guess since I can't become a Mage then my only option left is to become a Knight...'
"Sigh, it seems he is destined to be a normal person..." Elder Burk said with another sigh.
'Am I cursed or something?! Am I really that unlucky?!'
We soon returned home where I felt depressed for an entire month...

A month passed by and I couldn't help but put my hopes on the strange block symbol in the corner of my vision, it's probably my only hope in becoming something more than a normal man in the future!

At the rate it's going I will be lucky that it's done before I am 16 Years Old...
Noticing my depressed expression my mother comforted me and had me help cook dinner.
