Reborn For Revenge: Mr. Smith Can You Handle it?

Chapter 18 - Please Call Dr. Sherry!

“Doctor! The patient is still unconscious.” An old and elderly nurse approached the doctor carrying a file on her hand. She seemed somewhat nervous and anxious.

“Mrs. Tannu..” The doctor turned around and came face to face with her. He had been standing on the balcony all this time looking at the open and empty blue sky.

The old nurse opened her mouth to say something but see closed her mouth once again.

Seeing that he was holding phone, she realized he must have been in an important call.

“Oh..You were in the phone.. I am sorry for disturbing you..” she hurriedly apologized.

The doctor shifted his gaze from the nurse to the phone on his hand and let out a sigh. “It’s alright..sigh…Please don’t be sorry fr such simple things.” He smiled a wary smile.

“Is everything alright, doctor?” Mrs. Tannu asked with a concerned face.

“Nah, it’s alright…I am just surprised at how shameless and rude someone can be.” Thinking about how the man called Chris or Tris talked with him and even cut off the phone without even trying to listen to the entire condition just made him too disappointed.

“So, the patient you were talking about…Is that miss Bella Cath?” Taking the file in his hand he asked while turning through the pages.

“Yes..” Mrs. Tannu replied with a nod f her.

“And she was also a patient of the hospital before right?” He asked but he himself confirmed the fact by seeing the previous records of her ultrasound and other check up details.

“Yes, doctor she was.” The nurse nodded once again.

“She…She has lost way too much blood due to the miscarriage.” Mrs. Tannu sighed making a clearly depressed and unhappy sound.

As a woman, she could understand how much a kid meant to any female, to any mother. The fact that Bella was a new mother made things more sad in her favor.

‘Poor girl, she lost her first child…May god heal her.’ Mrs. Tannu prayed silently to the god that if he did exist to take care of the child’s soul and of the sad mother.

The doctor noticed that nurse was a little down about this miscarriage case and asked her if she knew the patient personally.

“Ohh…Yes..I am the one who accompanied her doctor whenever she came for her monthly pregnancy check up.” The old nurse answered with a pitiful smile.

“Ohh….” The doctor replied.

“She was such a nice child.” The nurse added with a sigh thinking about the young girl that was always smiling happily with both her and the doctor when ever she came for check up.

The doctor had no any comment to make on that matter and simply turned through the pages when he suddenly stopped on one of the pages.

“This….” He traced his fingers to the name on the last paper of the report and exclaimed with surprise.

“Why is her personal doctor Miss Sherry?” The doctor showed the name to the nurse while he widened his eyes in surprise.

Sherry Lona was a doctor of the surgical department and not from this! She was the youngest head neurosurgeon anyone had seen in this hospital. So, she was a famous person that even he knew.

“Ohh that…It’s a long story.” Mrs. Tannu looked at the name and replied to the doctor.

The doctor looked at the watch and looked inside the room from the balcony. There was no much time they could spare as Bella’s condition was really severe.

They were able to successfully able to take out the baby through a really critical surgery but her life was in danger now due to excessive blood loss.

That was why he had asked for her guardian to come over and also asked the head nurse to bring him her test reports.

It turned out, she was a regular patient here allowing him to look further at her reports from before and….Well, he knew he had to call her doctor since it was her patient.

The elderly doctor turned to face Mrs. Tannu and spoke, “Well, Mrs. Tannu, I guess you should make the story short.”

“About that, the young girl there and doctor Sherry are really close in real life.” Mrs. Tannu paused for a while as she tried to think about the relation between them and explain it to the old doctor in shortest way possible.

“Although Doctor Sherry isn’t a gyno doctor, she decided to be the personal doctor of Ms. Bella. That’s pretty much everything.”

“So, because of their friendship, a neurosurgeon took up the task of being a personal doctor for pregnant woman?” He summarized the whole thing in one sentence but the way he said that sounded as if he was mocking the whole thing.

Well, he was little bit mad about the fact that a doctor whose specialty was something else, doing things out of her expertise.

Mrs. Tannu was kind of lost for words when she heard the sarcastic tone of the doctor.

“Ahh…well….Doctor Sherry said it was the first child of her best friend so she wanted to be the one who took care of both of them throughout the pregnancy.” Mrs. Tannu spoke in the defense of doctor Sherry.

“Humph…That still doesn’t justify her practices.” The elderly doctor felt it was irresponsible of the doctor to give in to her emotional feeling and all this mess.

“And she did get help from the senior doctors about everything…Even I accompanied her all the time. I was spectikle about her at the first time as well but she never failed to amaze me…She is as good as any newbie doctor.” Mrs. Tannu was a little fired up and said whatever she wanted to the old doctor.

“Errr.. I mean I am sorry, doctor….” Realizing that she had spoken in a rude tone, she apologized but she did not regret it.

Doctor Sherry had done her best and as someone who had accompanied her all the time, she knew that she did not deserve the criticism for all this.

“Oh, really? Then where is doctor Sherry when her patient is in this condition?” The elderly doctor, Mr. Thomas was his name, asked in a sharp tone.

“That…she is getting married today doctor…” Mrs. Tannu answered immediately. “She had informed the hospital and cleared off her schedules just for today.” She also added this right after.

“Ohh…so she is getting married and enjoying when her friend and patient is in this condition?” Doctor Thomas founded another point to criticize.

“Doctor!! Please do not talk about her like that!” Mrs. Tannu yelled in a loud voice.

With a low gasp, she covered her mouth with her palm and looked at Dr. Thomas who was staring at her in surprise and at the other nurses and intern doctors who were inside the hospital room running few tests.

Even she herself was surprised upon realizing her abrupt outburst.

“Nah, its fine…Mrs. Tannu, I was a little excessive when I said that..” He snapped out of his anger and irritation that had collected inside him due to the call with Chris and apologized to her for his rude words.

“But marriage or not, Mrs. Tannu. Please call Doctor Sherry to hospital for emergency case immediately.” Mr. Thomas requested in a serious tone, his vision shifting from Mrs. Tannu to the patient who was on the bed.
