Lucius touched his earlobe making omega shiver and said casually: "I won\'t feel lonely when you are around, right?"

Embarrassed, the alpha coughed lightly twice and then quickly switched the topic. He tentatively gentled his voice and hesitatingly asked: "Are you cold? Do you need a hug?"

Julien could not help but laugh mockingly: "Mr. Valentinus, with all due respect… stop pretending to be so nice to me."

Hearing this, Lucius\'s heart began to race. He furrowed his eyebrows and uneasily switched his sitting posture: "That.... What do you think of me?"

When Julien said it like that, it seemed like it made a lot of sense, but for some reason, Lucius felt like his heart was being pricked. The man looked like he was smiling but inside, it was a different story: "You mean to say, in my entire life I can only use my face and money to attract people?"

Julien switched from his playful attitude to a more serious one: "If not then what? Your bad temper? But I am afraid there might be another mask behind it."

Julien knew that this kind of man when he is bad, he can make him fall down and fall down hard. But he tried to be headstrong and honest.

Julien suddenly became nervous and he bit his bottom lip. His small and fine eyelashes were shaking and before he even said something to soothe the atmosphere, he was embraced.

Lucius seemed to laugh, mockingly and condescendingly: "If you were after my money or face, then I would be pretty happy. Happy that I finally have something in me that can make you stay. I\'m scared of you running away all over again from me."

And then honestly said with no embellishments: "My family background is not good, my upbringing is not good and the kind of personality I have, I know better than anyone."

Lucius did not hide from Julien\'s eyes anymore and stared at omega with open and sincere eyes as if showing growth that Julien wanted to see: "I\'m nice to you not because I\'m pretending, but because I genuinely want to be."

Julien was actually stunned by the man\'s actions.

The corners of Lucius\'s mouth seemed to tug up, as if he wanted to smile, but he couldn\'t smile at all: "Am I so bad that I\'m destined to be not liked by you?"

Julien felt like he swallowed a fly.

Julien turned his head to look out the window and something made him suddenly straighten up and forcefully pull on alpha\'s sleeve: "Quick, look outside!"

After hearing that, Lucius looked out the window and discovered that in the quiet night, the stars started to fall. The sky flashed and brightened with white lights.

There was something magical about the shooting stars as its brief final sparkle ended the epic voyage through the universe. When it happened, humans will suddenly feel how small and insignificant they are. Lucius rarely noticed these things and didn\'t know if it was because of the person beside him or for some other reason.

He looked at Julien who was in awe watching comets and was looking very happy.

At this moment, his heart did not have any other desires and in a rare occurrence, was as pure as his heart could ever be.

Julien suddenly turned his head to find Lucius\'s gaze on him. His black eyes looked as if they were wading deeper into the pool of undefined emotions.

The two of them were close together, so close that their breaths mingled together.
