Chapter 4 - 1.2 - Crimson Academy - A dream

Inside a luxurious office, Bing Shi, peeking her head from beside the monitor, asked with sparkles in her eyes, "Do you think I have Stockholm syndrome?"

*silence*

Mr. Jelly, whose face was hidden behind a computer, answered with a question, "Why do you ask?" There was a slight smile in the corner of his mouth.

"Well, why do I not mind your extreme jealousy? Oh, and let's not forget about your obsessive obsessiveness!" She grinned while thinking how he cried when she said that she found a new friend online. It was a girl. A girl, not a boy! And it was online!

"Because I have power, money, and I am good in bed," he said proudly.

"Like, really? You are such a narcissist. No, that's not the reason!" She shook and nodded her head. Nodding, because the previous statement was a truth.

"Narcissist?" Standing up, he came to her and whispered to her ears in an alluring voice, "Did I say I'm handsome?"

Bing Shi recalled the scene. He didn't. Covering her ears, using the rolling chair, she pushed her leg against the floor to create a distance between them. Waving her hand, she expressed that he should continue answering.

"Because there is no one who will pamper you as much as me," he answered with a sight but still, with a lingering smile.

"Now, can you give me a hug?" He stretched his arm, waiting for her to come to him.

"Aw, why do I love you so much?!" She ran to him and hugged him like a baby koala.

She placed her hands on the back of his neck and shortened the distance between their lips, noticing his anticipating eyes, she stopped with a grin.

He groaned in frustration but still waited patiently for her to continue. Finding her way inside, she felt how the tip of their tongues connected. Their engagement lasted for a good short while before she pulled away and teasingly bit his lower lip.

He quickly captured her giggle with his mouth, softly biting her lips in response.

"Sweetie, you're going too far," he seated her back at the chair, his lips arched up as he parted her legs with his knee, "I only asked for a hug."

"..." Blown away by his words, Bing Shi fainted on the chair, covering her unstable heartbeat, "There's definitely something wrong with the both of us."

❰Host, wake up.❱

░I miss him.░

❝Good morning to you too, system,❞ Bing Shi answered with frustration.

Looking around, she was lying on the unfamiliar king-sized bed. The room was different too; it was spacious with a modern look and neutral beige color scheme.

░Oh, right I am Olivia now. Grace's older sister.░

Olivia stood up and went to the attached bathroom. Looking at the big mirror behind the sink, she touched her full lips, smiling at her reflection.

░I am pretty cute~.░

A young girl, not slim nor chubby, about sixteen-years-old. Her chestnut brown eyes skimmed to her dark, shoulder-length hair with an oval face. Grace's features were similar to Olivia's. The difference was; Grace had a more mature figure, and her eyes were more villainous like.

There wasn't much about Olivia in the story. She was usually alone; an introverted otaku, who would read mangas and play otome games in her free time. As there weren't many conflicts in the family, both girls grew up spoiled in different ways. Olivia was usually in her imaginary world, while Grace's life was only about Ailstar. Olivia and Grace didn't communicate much, but they did have a sisterly bond.

Right now, Grace was fourteen years old. The year she reincarnated and one year before she'll start high school.

░Ah, there is too much to do.░

❝System, what is Grace doing?❞

❰ She just woke up. She will be on her way to your father's office.❱

░Woah, she is acting pretty fast. But if she ends her engagement now, it will make our male lead more interested in her.░

❰ Hidden quest: Make Alistar end his engagement by himself.❱

Brushing her teeth with furrowed brows, Olivia mused about her next steps.

░How should I do it? Persuade Grace to wait?░

░No, it won't change anything. Ailstar will be interested in her new unbratty personality.░

░Persuade Grace to act like her previous life?░

░We are not sure if she really wants to avoid Ailstar. Grace might be acting like the previous heroine to gain his affection.░

░We all know she wants love too. But she wants the best man possible. So not everyone will do.░

░Hmm...░

░Oh, I see... this will do for now.░

❝System stop all outgoing calls in the father's office. Don't make him call Ailstar's family.❞

❰ Yes, host.❱

░All hail, to modern technology!░

Meanwhile...

*Slam* Grace slammed open the door to her father's office.

"Grace!? Where are your manners?! You have to knock first!!" Mr. Bacchus reprimanded his daughter.

"Father, I am sorry, but this is urgent!" Grace said with tears in her eyes.

"Dear, what happened? Why are you crying?" asked father with worry.

"I don't want to get married to Ailstar! Father, I don't want to marry someone I don't love. I know it will be hard for your company but still... don't we have enough money already? Let's not be greedy father."

Grace's request surprised him. He exclaimed in surprise, anger was evident in his eyes. "How? I thought you love Ailstar. Did he do something to you?! That brat, let me teach him a lesson!"

"No, No! He didn't do anything! It's just... I think he doesn't love me. We shouldn't force his feelings on me." The teary-eyed Grace sat in front of her father's in a delicate manner to gain his pity.

❝Ohoho... System, is that green tea I smell in the air?❞ asked Olivia. Sitting on her bed, she watched the upcoming uproar, her mouth overflowing with popcorn.

❰ What green tea?❱

❝You will know soon, huhu.❞

"You are right. Feelings shouldn't be forced. Should I call his family for a meeting?" asked father; his hands rubbing his chin with contemplation.

"Yes, father, the sooner, the better," responded Grace nervously.

❝System, I changed my mind. Transfer father's call to Mark's mobile number. Also block Mark's outgoing messages and calls, except Grace's.❞

Father Bacchus dialed his friend's contact info. Unfortunately, the phone call connected to someone else.

Somewhere abroad, inside Foster's mansion...

A young man walked out of the bathroom, appearing in his lavish bedroom with a towel wrapped around his h.i.p.s. From his look, you could tell that he was going to be a handsome man in the future. There was still some water dripping down his light brown hair. And those lively green eyes, without even trying, they had captured many young maidens' hearts.

Hearing a ringtone, he reached towards the phone on the coffee table. 'An unknown number?' He picked up the call, placing the phone against his ear.

"Hey, greetings, my friend! It's me, Henry Bacchus. It's about an engagement between your son and my daughter Grace."

Mark raised his eyebrow, "Hello, Mr. Bacchus. This is Mark Foster. I think you got the wrong number."

"Huh?! How is that possible?! I am sure I called the right number. Sorry for the inconvenience. Have a good day young man."

"No problem sir. Have a good day sir."

Mr. Bacchus attempted to call his friend again. But no calls passed through. He wrinkled his brows.

"What's wrong father?" asked Grace.

"Strange, there is a signal, but I can't call Ailstar's family."

"Maybe, you should restart your phone."

"I'll try."

Mark was still looking at his phone with a questioning gaze, "Engagement, huh? Interesting, should I call Ailstar?"

But to no avail, nothing could get through to Alistar. Mark couldn't help it. Now, he wanted to know even more. Because he was abroad at the moment, he couldn't meet up with his friend.

Who would have thought that there would be a day that Mark would message a girl, his childhood friend, Grace? He didn't like her. She was an annoying girl; too clingy and loud for his liking. But Mark's curiosity won over him, "Beat it. It's just for my amus.e.m.e.nt."

Grace came back to her room with a blank expression on her face. She sat at her bed, contemplating what should be her next step. Her phone got a notification. Her heart skipped a beat when she noticed that it's from Mark.

Mark: I got a call from your father. What's wrong with your engagement?

Grace: I asked my father to break my engagement with Ailstar.

Mark: What? Why so sudden?

Mark was too surprised. 'That spoiled, uncultured princess of the Bacchus family wants to break her engagement? Is she plotting something? There's no way she would break her engagement that easily!'

And our main male lead, Ailstar? He was clueless about the things happening at the moment. His life moved on as always.

In a big bedroom, a cute girl was sitting in her bed, munching on some butter popcorn with a poker face. Out of a sudden, she burst out in laughter. If someone saw her, they would think she was crazy.

❝System! This is fun!❞
