Chapter 11 - 1.9 - Crimson Academy - Be happy

Grace and Mark were chatting during a break. "See? I knew it," said Grace with a smug smile. After that particular day, Ailstar and Alisa somehow became friends.

"Mm, she is interesting," Mark nodded while rubbing his chin, "Ouch!"

Grace kicked his leg and glared at him.

"Sorry, you are still cuter, heheh," he grinned cheekily.

"Serves you right. Come out with me for a moment," Grace grabbed his arm, and both of them went out of class, towards the rooftop.

"What are we doing here?" asked Mark with curiosity.

"To push you out of the building," Grace joked with a laugh.

"You know how beautiful your laughter sound?" he said with a smitten smile, forgetting about her, wanting to push him out of the building.

"Not many people can hear it, you should treasure the moment," she chuckled. She steped out to the open and breathed in the fresh air.

"Mm, I'm treasuring it right now." He went to her and caressed her cheek. The pent up tension between them finally dissipated.

Before the midterm and final exams, an important event would occur — a masquerade ball. It'd be a great opportunity for the students to expand their connections, having a chance to meet students from all grades. Previously, it was an event where Ailstar broke the engagement with Grace.

"Alisa, would you like to go to the masquerade party with me?" asked a male classmate nervously. Alisa was the second most beautiful girl in their class, after Grace. Grace was already taken, but if he succeeded with Alisa, he could brag to his friends!

Alise smiled at him, "Let me think about it." She met many males like him in her restaurant, which was, by the way, doing great. She felt so confident, thinking of opening a new one soon!

"Alisa," a chilling voice came from her left.

Alica turned towards the cold voice, "What is it?"

"..." Ailstar glared at her silently.

"We are friends, aren't we? I wanted to ask you, but I knew you hate loud places, so I gave up."

"..." He didn't know how to retort.

Alisa sighed, "Let's continue later. The class is starting soon."

The classroom stared at them in fascination. Their vice president was so mature, talking to Ailstar as he was her friend! Alisa grew a fan base of her own, with her smart and confident character, she caught many people's respect. Even though there were some bullies, they couldn't pinpoint a lot of faults in Alisa. Right, she was from an average background, but she opened her own business and at such a young age too.

"Why did you not refuse him?" Alisar asked when they were finally alone in the council room. He was sitting behind his desk, while Alisa was seated opposite him, doing her homework.

Alisa studied her notes, trying to find an answer to her math question, "I didn't agree nor disagree. I just wanted to see your reaction."

"Don't try my patience. Didn't you say you like me?!"

She lifted her gaze and looked at him in anger, "So every girl who likes you have to be forever alone?!"

"..." Alistar went silent.

"If you want to go with me, then be a gentleman and ask me nicely. This way, you'll never find a girlfriend."

He refused, "I don't need a girlfriend. You are enough."

Alisa blushed, "How come you can be so cheesy with your communication skills? But what do I do? If we are together so often, I'll start to like you more."

"You are really straightforward," he said with a sigh.

Alisa continued with her homework, "Mm, you like it, don't you?"

"En, like," he said. It was refreshing.

Looking up from her notes, a victory smile appeared on her face, "Then let me be more straightforward. Would you like to go with me to the masquerade ball?"

"En..." His heart skipped a beat when he saw her beautiful smile. Being with her, there was no loneliness.

"But only as friends, nothing more." She can't give in so easily. "Now lets study. Midterm exams are coming soon!" She wanted to kick his ass when she noticed how he didn't have to study as much as her. 'So unfair!'

░They sure are taking their time. They are supposed to have babies already! 囧 ░

❝System just report to me when something important happens. I don't want to eat dog food anymore.❞

░Also, I feel like a creep, watching other people in real life, eww.░

❰ Yes, Host, are you crying again?❱

❝Hm? Yeah, I miss my home. Go monitor them and leave me alone for a bit.❞

❰ Yes, Host.❱

"Miss Olivia Bacchus, why are you crying?" asked Olivia's teacher.

Olivia blinked her blurry eyes, "My stomach hurts. Can I go to the infirmary?"

"Yes, Do you need someone to go with you?" asked the teacher with worry.

"I am good, thank you," Olivia stood up and walked out of the classroom while trying to hold in her tears from falling down.

Her fiance couldn't hold it and stood up. "Can I go with her? I am her fiance," he asked the teacher with impatience.

"Go, go, she didn't look good," the teacher agreed.

Right after her approval, he ran out of the classroom, chasing after Olivia, "Olivia!"

░This is the last thing I needed! So bothersome!░

Olivia kept going to the infirmary, holding in her composure, "Stay away from me! We agreed not to talk to each other!"

"But..." He tried to reach out to her, but she reacted faster!

Olivia pulled out a pepper spray from her skirt pocket and pointed it in his direction, her hands shaking. "Don't. Touch. Me," she said in disgust.

"Olivia, calm down..." He tried to reason with both his hands raised.

"Turn around and let me be," Olivia muttered through gritted teeth.

"Fine, I'll go... " He helplessly turned around and walked back to class, occasionally looking back at her direction, but she was nowhere to be seen.

She used a speed pill to run home.

In the bedroom, a pitiful girl was lying on the bed in the fetus position, weeping and shaking anguishedly to herself. Her weeping became a cry, and it was growing louder and louder. Everyone could tell that her cry was full of pain and sorrow.

░I miss you so much.░

░I don't want to be here without you.░

░What do I do? I think I'm going crazy.░
