Her face turned purple from suffocation. She was slowly losing consciousness. In a trance, she heard the sounds of her father calling her name and her baby giggling.

She smiled with a quiet, gentle look on her face, as if she was going to be freed from all encumbrances.

Her smile of relief was like a basin of cold water pouring over his head. All of a sudden, he came back to his senses and immediately let go of Xu Zijin.

Xu Zijin weakly collapsed to the floor.

As the fresh air rushed into her lungs, she put her hand over her chest and couldn’t help coughing violently. ‘What a pity that I didn’t die!” she thought to herself.

A spasm of heartache surged through Fu Sinian. His face tightened as though he was being strangled by invisible hands; his hands were trembling with fear. Just now, he almost throttled Xu Zijin…

“Why did you loosen your grip? Fu Sinian, come on, strangle me! As long as you do that, your revenge will come to a perfect end.” Xu Zijin gasped for air and deliberately challenged him to kill her.

Xu Zijin was fed up with Fu Sinian always haunting her. Since he refused to let her go, why didn’t he kill her directly? To be honest, this kind of living was a torture for her.

“Xu Zijin, you want to resort to death to escape from me? Dream on! Death isn’t the best revenge. I want you to live on and lead a life of hell. Isn’t it very interesting?”

Xu Zijin turned pale at once. She looked at Fu Sinian in disbelief and gritted her teeth with hatred. “You are a devil!”

“Yeah, I am a devil.” Fu Sinian walked up to her and slowly bent down. Then he raised his hand and rubbed her lips with his callused fingertip. His eyes were clouded with possessiveness towards her, but his voice was soft, “Xu Zijin, you are the devil’s woman. You can’t escape from me. So, you’d better be sensible and obedient; otherwise…”

He left the sentence unfinished, but Xu Zijin sensed a trace of danger in his voice.

“So what? I have no home, no family, no children, nothing! Fu Sinian, are you going to threaten me with my life? You know, I’m not afraid of death. By the way, I’m not your woman. I have nothing to do with you!”

Xu Zijin’s pupils dilated and her face changed. “What do you want to do? Fu Sinian, I know you bear a grudge against me, but Fu Chen is innocent. I’m warning you; don’t hurt him!”

‘Something bad must have happened to Fu Chen. He never failed to carry out his promise before. He wouldn’t let me down, unless he was at the end of his tether,’ she thought.

“Fu Sinian, it’s me who stabbed you in the chest with the dagger. I wanted to kill you. If you want to revenge yourself on me, you can kill me or do anything to torment me. Don’t involve the innocent person in!”

“Innocent?” Fu Sinian sneered, “When I knew he appeared in your life, he’s not innocent at all in my eyes. Since he dares to covet my woman, I will send him to the hell.”

He made no attempt to conceal his deep hatred towards Fu Chen although Fu Chen was his second personality.

‘We live in the same body. However, Fu Chen leads a free and easy sort of life and never troubles much about anything. He fell in love with Xu Zijin without any misgivings whatsoever and appeared in her life just like a savior. But what about me?
