The corruption rapidly spread through the river, alarming the people that were nearby.

The Greire City Lord stared in shock, sensing the corruption invading his Tower of Purification too, at rates beyond what it could handle. "Dammit, signal the alarm…"

Boom!

Suddenly, followed by a minor quake that rattled the entire city, a barrier of corruption overlaid the dome of their safe zone. And, it was unleashed through the Tower of Purification itself, and hence couldn\'t be destroyed as easily.

The Greire City Lord clenched his hand into a fist, intending to retract his Tower of Purification, staring in shock soon after, "What the…fuck!"

He was unable to retract it as a dense stream of corruption had coagulated within it, preventing him from controlling it. And this power was steadily invading the Tower of Purification, creating a layer of corruption over the dome, cutting off all communication with the other cities.

The hairs on his hand stood to the end as the Greire City Lord felt that the situation was surreal, watching corruption billow out of the river water in torrents, affecting the Horned Humans nearby, causing them to writhe in pain as the corruption invaded their bodies, killing them from within little by little, painfully.

Guooong!

"Get to safety." He shouted at his wife before leaping from the rooftop, transforming into a Whale that unleashed a sonic wave, for a moment causing the corruption to stop in response, affected by the terrifying sound effused using Nacre.

"How\'s the status of reinforcements?" He asked his underlings in a hurry, watching them take off to the air to combat the seeping corruption.

"We\'re unable to!" One of them shouted, "We\'ve been blocked off on all sides."

"Then, rush outside the dome and try it again!" The Greire City Lord shouted, "We have to alert everyone of this danger as quickly as possible."

"Yes!" Two of his underlings nodded in response before they flapped their wings and blasted off towards the edge of the dome, intending to exit it.

Bam!

"…Shit!" The Greire City Lord\'s eyes widened in shock upon staring at the entity that had appeared near the edge of the dome, holding a whip sword that it lashed out, severing the two subordinates into pieces.

Keras!

Staring at the frightening creature, the Greire City Lord trembled in fear. After all, he was only at Stage 7. And to face a Keras, a Stage 8 Mystic Human was necessary.

With his Tower of Purification rendered useless, he was even more at a disadvantage.



The Whale opened its mouth, condensing a sphere of energy before shooting it out like a breath attack, deciding to go all out right from the very beginning.

The beam of energy slammed into the Keras, slamming it into the dome as its skin was readily vaporised from the attack.

The size of the Whale reduced to a length of two metres as its speed multiplied, causing its figure to flicker towards the Keras, ripping off a piece of its flesh, consuming them to recover its Nacre.

Boom!

The Keras punched forth in response, slamming into a Nacre barrier, causing sonic booms to resound as ripples formed on the barrier. And surprisingly, the Greire City Lord was able to withstand the attacks of the Keras.

As an expert in defence, he was one of the best, a reason he had been awarded the Tower of Purification in the first place.

Opening its mouth, the Whale unleashed another beam of energy, beginning to vaporise the surface muscle layer of the Keras while pressuring the dome barrier, causing it to crack as the Keras was slammed harder into it.

"Hahh!" Followed by a shout, he riled up all his power, causing the Tower of Purification to emit bright light, unleashing dense amounts of Nacre as multiple Whales revolved around it, gobbling up the corruption blocking its abilities.

As they worked on it, the layer of corruption on the dome began to weaken in response.

\'A little more, and we\'ll be able to communicate with the other cities to ask for reinforcements.\' The Greire City Lord thought, calculating his schemes as he decided to stay on the offensive and not give the Keras any room for a breather, \'I\'ve hit this fucker with the strongest of my attack so many times, but it\'s barely injured.\'

Boom!

It slammed forth another beam, causing the finger bones of its hands to be revealed as the Keras defended against it, unable to evade as the dome barrier itself acted like glue, holding its body in place.

"No!" Suddenly, a shrill scream resounded, followed by a burst of Nacre as it seemed a strong ability was unleashed before all signs of Nacre vanished.

The Greire City Lord\'s eyes widened in shock before tearing up in rage, watching a certain human head fly his way.

"Damn! You! Bastards!" He raged, for it was his wife\'s head. But in the next instant, his emotions cooled down as something ice-cold seeped into him, seeing a second head follow suit his wife\'s.

This was a tiny head, barely forming as the eyes were yet to fully develop, sporting an innocent expression, tender in nature, mildly resembling him, but now dead.

It was his unborn child.

The Aberrants hadn\'t let go of even him. For a second, he was unable to react as his wife\'s head slammed into him, followed by his child, creating a trail of blood on his Whale body.

His brain seemed to have short-circuited due to the emotional damage, failing to react to a Serpentine Keras that appeared above him, wrapping its tail around the Whale before hurling it towards the ground with all its strength.

The Whale broke the sound barrier before crashing into a building, causing it to collapse before slamming into the ground, forming a crater amidst the rubble.

Dozens of people hiding within the building were smashed into meat paste as their blood drenched his Whale Body.

The large Whale Eyes stared blankly as two severed heads gently plopped beside, shattering upon the impact, causing blood to spill all over.

Bang!

The Serpentine Keras slammed into it from above, causing the Celestial Armour protecting it to crack in response. It then opened its mouth, unleashing a turbid breath that began to melt through the barrier protecting it.

In the meantime, its tail elongated towards the dome barrier, melting through it before freeing the Humanoid Keras, "Even if they are at Stage 7, you shouldn\'t underestimate them. A Stage 7 City Lord is vastly stronger than a Stage 7 Mystic Human."

"Yeah, I was a bit careless." The Humanoid Keras nodded as its injuries healed rapidly. It then arrived before the Whale, punching its face nonstop before flinching, gazing at one of its arms, noticing that its hand was missing.

At some point in time, the Whale had elongated in length to bear resemblance to a serpent, hissing as it slipped through their hold, turning its head to blast a beam at the Serpentine Keras, sending it flying away.

It then transformed into a rhino and crashed into the Humanoid Keras, grunting as it pierced its horn through its chest, injecting Nacre through it.

"Gah!" The Humanoid Keras grunted in pain as its internals began to burn with a suffocating power. Its hands clamped down upon the rhino\'s head, trying to stop its charge as its feet dug into the ground, creating long trails.

But slowly, the height of the rhino began to increase, from its initial height of eight metres to its current height of twenty metres, hulking over the Humanoid Keras due to its body volume.

The Greire City Lord gave in to his anger, unwilling to stop before he destroyed his detestable opponents.

The Humanoid Keras rained down punches on the rhino\'s belly, but a rippling barrier absorbed all the attacks while anything that went through was endured by its tough hide.

After all, this rhino was the source of the Celestial Armour. And in this form, his defence was the highest.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Humanoid Keras continued to rain down attacks, barely damaging much while the Rhino\'s horn continued to elongate, piercing deeper and deeper into its chest, injecting copious amounts of Nacre to destroy it from within.

And suddenly, the horn glowed with Nacre, alarming the Humanoid Keras that tried to wriggle its way out. But before it managed to do so, a powerful beam slammed out of the horn, tearing open a massive hole in the chest of the Humanoid Keras, causing it to collapse to the ground weakly.

The Greire City Lord charged forth, intending to pummel his opponent when a dense stream of corruption slammed into him, causing him to lose balance as a crater formed on the ground.

Upon seeing the Serpentine Keras returning to the scene, he morphed his appearance, turning into a serpentine Whale that breathed out a beam of Nacre.

But surprisingly, the Serpentine Keras coiled into a helix, revolving around the beam that it evaded before slamming into the Serpentine Whale.

The two gigantic entities tore through each other, slamming into the various buildings along the way, causing them all to crash down as the people there were killed in the ensuing chaos.

Through the river appeared tens of thousands of Aberrants and a few hundred Titan Aberrants, engaging with the Horned Humans and the Mystic Humans.

"Gharrr!" The Humanoid Keras roared, leaping into the sky as it condensed a sword in its hands before plunging it through the head of the Serpentine Whale, piercing through the barrier.

As the Serpentine Whale twitched in pain, almost losing consciousness under the attack, the Serpentine Keras used the opportunity to bite onto the midriff of its body, tearing it apart.

Following that, the two Keras tore up the Greire City Lord into multiple pieces, partaking in a feast of blood and gore as immediately after, the Tower of Purification lost its light; the corruption rapidly took control over it, causing the Nacre in the region to gradually turn into corruption itself.
