216 Chapter 216 Sasha Wants To Be Pampered

Almost crawling through the driveway of his own house, Desmond wished he had stamina potions on his belt as well when he went hunting today because for the first time in a long time all he wanted was to sleep.

The first person to greet him was Claire who had already been notified of his well-being and after explaining the situation to her very briefly, Desmond went straight to the shower to wash the blood from his body.

The hot water helped Desmond loosen the tension in his body a bit, but it also caused him to almost fall asleep in the shower, after hitting his forehead against a wall by accident; Desmond reluctantly got out of the shower.

Wearing simple pajamas, Desmond thought it would be a good idea to have a tiredness tea from Sasha’s special reserve, carefully brewing the herbs in the correct proportion and waiting for the water to boil.

With patience and some fatigue, Desmond poured the tea, took a couple of sips and enjoyed the warm sensation in his throat, sat on the sofa in the living room, and prepared to relax ... until an underground explosion made him drop the tea.

An extremely bitter expression crept onto Desmond’s face, but after a couple of deep breaths his face returned to normal and as he thought about how unfortunate his day had been he made his way to Sasha’s underground laboratory where the explosion must have come from.

As a side note, a couple of weeks ago when Desmond received delivery of items from Elaisa, the team hired by the association to build and refit Sasha’s alchemy lab came too; And in what was a shocking display of arcane skill, they turned the old underground warehouse into an alchemist laboratory of the same caliber as Sasha used to have.

Since then Sasha spent at least half of her time stuck in her laboratory and the other half of her time watching television novels, the positive side of this was that Sasha had prepared a fairly large stock of a variety of potions ... the negative side was that explosions like this were not entirely uncommon.

Apparently, the young alchemist witnessed some of the best modern weapons in this world, and in a flash of inspiration she tried to recreate some of them using special materials until now her success had been little, but according to her, she was quite close to creating some kind of high-powered explosive device.

Since that day in the Kars city square, the vermilion flame within Sasha seemed to have freed itself from some kind of bondage and it was not uncommon to see this flame emanate from Sasha’s body from time to time depending on her emotional state; strangely the flame was rarely hot so there had been no fire accidents thus far too which Desmond was grateful.

Having calmed down, Sasha looked at Desmond with an infatuated expression annoyed that this man had purposely scared her just to watch his adorable reaction or so she believed.

But as attentive as she always tends to be, Sasha didn’t take long to notice how tired Desmond looked so she decided to forgive him and preferred to show off her recent achievements.

“That’s right, this time I was successful, all this time I was trying to create a single explosive compound with the materials at my disposal in an attempt to recreate the grenades of your world, but that was my biggest mistake, it didn’t necessarily have to be a single compound.

During my research I remembered a story you told me about how you used a wood-type mana-filled arrow as an improvised bomb, then it occurred to me to apply a similar mechanic, I distilled two concentrated liquid compounds of different natures that when mixed create an immensely powerful explosive reaction.

The main compound that serves as fuel, is a type of combined and distilled sap that contains a huge concentration of high purity wood-type mana, it is placed in the reinforced container that serves as an explosive device occupying most of its interior.

Then two thin vials are placed inside fixed at the bottom of the artifact and connected to the switch at the top, these vials contain a hyper concentrate of infernal flower sap with other accelerators; it is extremely flammable and contains high-quality fire-type mana.

Once you have everything inside the device it is sealed and ready, you have a hand grenade six or eight times more powerful than those in your world, all you have to do is turn this part here and the two vials inside will break apart allowing the two internal compounds to mix and in about 3 seconds you will have an explosion powerful enough to bring down a building. ”

As was usual for her, Sasha spoke with emotion and detail about her discovery, the research process, the results, etc. And one had to admit that the girl was a genius, in less than a week she created two new stable compounds that ingeniously used with a designer container they formed the equivalent of an explosive mana grenade.

Looking at the small metal device Desmond had to admit that it was deceptively small for the amount of destructive power it contained, the recipient was a simple 12 cm tall metal cylinder with a four-centimeter radius and a fairly simple trigger mechanism.

All one had to do was twist a screw device on top of the device, causing the vials with the explosive reagent inside the device fixed at the bottom and at the top to break; and just three seconds later you had a blast.

And with the kind of destructive power that this artifact had, he believed that even Araszh couldn’t take more than a couple of explosions before turning to ash, of course, Desmond could already imagine that the distillation process was quite delicate and it would be very expensive, but at least it was one more weapon in his arsenal.

Sasha who had just finished showing off her achievements had a proud expression on her adorable face, but beyond her pride she had the words “Look, I’m great now, pamper me” all over her face.

And Desmond would be lying if he said that he did not feel the need to pamper this wonderful woman even with the exhaustion that he had accumulated thus far.
