The carriage finally stopped after half an hour. The guard said, “lord, no carriage is allowed to go future. You might need to walk into the city.”

“Let’s go.” Wu Qianqing said.

“Mm.” Numu got off the carriage, then Hei Xuantang with Eggie in his arms. Eggie was excited to see the flying ghosts in the sky, “uncle, I want to fly too.”

There were mountains, water, and trees. The sky was blue. There was dirt on the ground. The ghost clan already wore the same style of dressing as human clan. But most of them only wear white and black, and their faces were ugly. Therefore, it was easy to tell from ghosts and human from appearance.

They came to the gate and got the registration token before being permitted to get into the city.

The layout and houses of the city were similar to humans. The difference was that the ghosts liked painting the pillars, doors, windows, and plates completely black and the rest white. Bones were the major decorations, which made humans feel like they were coming to a funeral instead of tour.

Hei Yin, who was flying in the sky with Eggie, descended to get a registration token and caught up with Hei Xuanyi.

“What’s that?” Eggie asked, pointing a string of food similar to human’s sugarcoated fruit on a stick. The difference was that sugarcoated fruit was red but the food was black.

“It’s called ghost’s stick.”

Wu Ruo asked, “what kind of food is it?”

“It’s coated with ghost spirit and inside are animal carcasses.” Hei Yin explained.

Wu Xi and Guan Tong almost vomited.

“The ghost stick is nutrition for us but not for humans because it damages human bodies.”

Eggie pouted because he couldn’t eat it. But his eyes sparkled again at the sight of the big buns, “uncle Hei Yin, can I eat those buns?”

“It’s human blood soup inside the buns.” Hei Yin answered.

“…” the others.

Eggie didn’t know what human blood soup meant, “I want to eat some.”

“You can’t.” Wu Ruo said heavily, “we can’t buy food here.”

He felt guilty especially in front of Eggie’s sad face, “although we can’t buy food, we can buy toys.”

The four ladies were relieved and hurriedly hid in a jewelry shop as if they were worried that Wu Weixue might regret.
