Chapter 10

When Shen Zhe went to the classroom, Wang Qing was waiting for him. He said anxiously, “Shen Zhe, you’re finally here!”

“Did Ms. Bai ask for me?”

Shen Zhe’s heart palpitated.

It had been only one day. Was it possible that Ms. Bai realized that his answer was wrong and decided to teach him a lesson?

“Ms. Bai?” Wang Qing shook his head in a daze and said, “No, it’s Liu Pengyue. He’s been here for you three times!”

“Why?” Shen Zhe was puzzled.

The Four Gentlemen were good friends, but they weren’t in the same class and only hanged out after school. Why was Liu Pengyue so eagerly looking for him before the class?

“I don’t know. I think it has something to do with Lu Zihan. He said you should go to the playground behind the teaching building!” said Wang Qing in a hurry.

“Alright!”

Nodding his head, Shen Zhe turned around and left.

Although he had never met them until the day before, they left a good impression on him. They were probably Shen Zhe’s former best buddies.

However… Hadn’t Lu Zihan already failed? Was he there to trouble Liu Pengyue’s in order to indirectly get back at Shen Zhe?

“Shen Zhe, the class will start soon. Where are you going?”

Ling Xueru blocked Shen Zhe before he was able to leave.

“I have something to do!”

Shen Zhe frowned.

Had it not been for her, Lu Zihan wouldn’t be bothering him.

“You’re finally working hard in this semester. Can you not give up on yourself?”

Ling Xueru was rather unhappy because he was obviously full of anger and aggressiveness.

As the monitor, it was her responsibility to keep everyone from falling behind.

Besides, she calculated for a few hours more hours the previous night, but she still failed to reach the answer stated on the guidance book. Since Lu Zihan had interrupted her the other day, she was intending to ask Shen Zhe that day before the class.

However, Shen Zhe was leaving the classroom.

“Alright, I won’t give up on myself…”

Waving his hand, Shen Zhe wasted no time talking and walked toward the playground.

“You…”

Ling Xueru stomped angrily hearing Shen Zhe’s casual reply.

The two of them had known each other since childhood. Although she had no feelings for him, she didn’t want him to sink into uselessness.

He was apparently working hard and making progress in that semester. She had secretly given him a hint the day before because she wanted him to remember the lesson and keep trying…

Little did she expect that her answer was wrong!

She had been feeling guilty. If the guy were beaten up for giving a wrong answer, it would’ve been her fault.

“You’ve forgotten who you are after giving one correct answer? I’m going to check what you’re up to!”

The more she thought, the angrier she got. She then followed Shen Zhe.

The playground at the rear of the campus was for the students to relax in. There was a small arena at the center, as well as facilities for playing chess or painting.

Few people were around, since classes were about to start.

Soon, Shen Zhe saw that Zhao Chen and Wang Xiaofeng were sitting next to the arena. Both of them had been badly injured.

Liu Pengyue, on the other hand, was anxiously standing on the opposite side of Lu Zihan on the arena.

“What’s happening?”

Shen Zhe narrowed his eyes.

They were fine the day before. It was obvious that someone had beaten them up just then.

Was it Lu Zihan?

He had wounded them so badly just for a quarrel! Shen Zhe was infuriated.

“We had a match with Lu Zihan… and we lost!”

Zhao Chen’s wounds were affected when he talked. His face cramped in pain.

“A match?”

“Yes, father…”

Zhao Chen was about to explain, when Lu Zihan looked at them with a fake smile and said, “Shen Zhe, you’re here… Let’s talk after I defeat him!”

As he talked, he punched his enemy.

Liu Pengyue hurried to dodge.

Lu Zihan pressed forward and hit with his elbow.

BAM!

Liu Pengyue was hit right in the face. Blood gushed out of his nose; he stepped back and fell.

He was slightly stronger than Shen Zhe, but he had only illuminated three stars. It was impossible for him to resist Lu Zihan who had illuminated seven stars.

After dealing a critical strike, Lu Zihan charged forward and kept kicking his enemy.

Liu Pengyue’s face was swollen while being under attack.

Lu Zihan finally stopped and took a long breath. “You lost!”

Then, he turned to Shen Zhe and said proudly, “Victory and failure cannot be decided by one contest. I did lose yesterday, but today, we’ll have another match that is only about strength. Do you dare to accept it?”

The more he thought about it after he went home, the angrier he became. He couldn’t admit that he had been defeated by the last place of the school!

The coins were provided by Shen Zhe, and Shen Zhe ran no calculations. So, the guy must’ve cheated somehow.

Otherwise, how could such a bad student have calculated the precise landing points of the coins and even drawn a picture of them, when a top ten student couldn’t?

If he went straight to Shen Zhe, other people would’ve mocked him for lack of graciousness.

So, he went to Liu Pengyue and his friends and beat them up. He knew that Shen Zhe would certainly not hold back when his friends were taught a lesson.

Then, he would have an opportunity to beat him up and interrogate him about how he won the other match.

“You want another contest?”

Looking at his swollen friends and Lu Zihan—who was feeling proud after having found a flaw in the school rules—Shen Zhe became exasperated.

“Are you sure?”

Shen Zhe only fought back since Lu Zihan had provoked him first.

He thought that it had been the end of everything, but his friends were beaten up because of him!

Lu Zihan’s body had reached Blood Practice, the fourth stage, and he had illuminated seven stars. How could Shen Zhe’s friends defeat him?

It was obviously a one-sided match. Lu Zihan was clearly doing it on purpose.

“Only if you dare!” Lu Zihan sniffed.

He had been tricked by the guy the day before, but it wouldn’t happen again.

He had to beat Shen Zhe up and force him to admit failure.

“Alright, bring it on!”

Taking a deep breath, Shen Zhe strode to the arena.

“Shen Zhe, you are no match for him…”

“He has learned battle techniques. He killed a bull with one punch…”

Zhao Chen and the rest of them were quite shocked.

They knew their friend very well. Even they were unable to defeat Lu Zihan in a real match. How could Shen Zhe resist the star student?

If he were that strong, he wouldn’t have chickened out the other day.

“It’s alright…”

Shen Zhe waved his hand.

He had not dared to say anything when the guy provoked him the day before, but that day… He had reached the seventh stage of body polishing. Even though Lu Zihan had illuminated seven stars, he had nothing to be scared of!
