NEW YEAR AND AN APOCALYPSE

Chapter 47: A BRIGHT YET DARK IDEA

The night was quiet except for the groaning of the hungry undead,

It felt uneasy however, and staying too close to the ground felt bad for the head,

Even the coldness of the floor never left,

And the chilliness of the night continued to crept.

The team felt sick, like any moment they'd collapse,

But afraid to show the fake angel, they did dare not move, and continued to take naps,

Lucifer was aware however, but he liked the thrill and the challenge,

They're finding ways to escape, like a search for gold in a rocky mountain-they scavenge.

Lucifer stood up, and observed from afar,

While his true form in the night, were revealed by the stars,

An angelic face, but a heart gone to waste,

Lucifer thought to himself,

Would he keep them alive? But for how many days?

Just then a beautiful idea crept unto his mind,

A game of death! But more contestants he must find,

It never mattered, since he have allies to do his wants,

A game of betrayal, hate, he'd plant.

Mar heard the quiet laugh from the man,

She prayed hard, hoping that Ken does have a plan,

For now she's kept still, not wanting to attract his attention,

Hoping that good fate, not the opposite would end up in ascension.

They heard a scratching sound, a human head banging in the door,

The wooden entrance gave loud thugging noises,

Which scared them to their very core,

Lucifer sighed and flew out from their safe place,

And saw a few zombified humans, smelling the feast waiting inside.

The demon was smiling quite happily,

Maybe put zombies in his game fascility?

And bring back the torture devices from the old eras,

Awaken the human's evil roots, make this world a dystopia.

He felt bored torturing souls, so he'd torture the flesh instead,

The demons dispersed and searched for living humans all they can,

It felt quite easy, as most were simply sleeping, heads on their bed.

Lucifer, the Prince of Hell stretched his wings in victor,

He'd change appearance, something those pestered humans might adore,

It might feel easier to get the young women to join,

Since he's already romanticize, in stories, games, his looks attractive, to stir the loins.

"I don't want to fail my fans, so I might as well,"

He said in a lustful grin, "And since they want a handsome Prince of Hell..."

He transformed into a young man, with flawless skin and a smile so nice,

While his jet black hair complimented his eyes,

As yellow as the moon, in a lovely night.

He stood tall and proud, as his black wings turned to white,

A wonderful game, a battle of wrong and right,

He looked at the sky, mocking God as he slyly smiles,

"If you love them, how come, there are plenty, of unanswered cries?"

Lucifer's long black coat matched well with the night,

He flew and searched for more contestants to fight,

As his crows watched by, the sleeping people Eleazar once saved,

All sleeped for the moment, not knowing what to them, the devil gave.

Marchosias, Lucifer's long time hound, came flying to his master,

"Maidens, still young and fresh, is what you are to be after,"

The hound bowed agreeing, and searched so far and wide,

When he returned in his big body, were several drugged ladies, he presented with pride.

Lucifer smiled at him, and giggled in amusement,

What fair lovely ladies, time sure did some improvement,

His excitement grew, and while observing he saw one stand out from all,

A woman with long dark brown hair, in an unkept ponytail,

A face of simplicity, a face most had fall,

"Spare this beauty for something more fun,"

Lucifer said as he brush his hand on her hair,

The hound agreed and to the darkness he ran,

While the demon prince watched, as he leaves him in the cold and bare.

Meanwhile the angels were in distraught, as their humans were missing,

How dare the demon steal, what should have been theirs, and should not be burning,

"We made a deal Lucifer! The sinful is yours but why take both!"

Gabriel yelled as he stomped his foot.

Raphael held his dear friend in restraint,

But the angel was visibly upset, his missions were stained,

"Do not worry we'll find them soon, no need to feel this bad and confused,"

"If I find that prince of hell, I surely will, and won't ever lose..."

He stretched his two pair of wings and came down to earth,

As his friend dared follow, to make sure he won't come and burst,

But as they come near and near to the ruined paradise,

They felt an unexplainable sadness, reflected in their eyes.
