When Alicia had finally arrived in Paris for the Acquisition of Mathew Company, everything came easily for her. More like it was all planned for perfectly. James made her stay very comfortable as well, although James\'s mother was very adamant on making things headstrong for her to acquire the company, she still survived through the whole situation peacefully.
That was before Mrs Mathew asked her out for brunch on a Sunday afternoon, not having anything to do on that day anyway, she agreed to meet up with her easily.
She invited her to a small Café, being a regular to Cyrus\'s café had already made her very accustomed to coffee and the delicacies which are involved in brunch dates, so when she arrived in the place, she was at first very pleased to see such a unique touch to a café, more like it was a fully blown Restaurant.
The woman had a ridicule written all over her face when Alicia arrived, she kept on trying to put her down with the unforgiving gaze she kept on her, yet Alicia found it very refreshing. She hadn\'t met such a ridiculous opponent before, especially because she was trying to save their family from a crisis.
"Well if it isn\'t the radiant Mrs Mathews, it\'s a pleasure to meet you ma\'am." Said Alicia with sparking eyes, she looked like she had spotted something which looked like a beautiful piece of art. Yet the woman in front of her simply gave her a disdainful look and answered her with, drop the flattery Alicia Adams, all I want from you is to let go of our family okay, we don\'t need your pathetic money at all. "
Alicia let out a simple chuckle from the woman\'s words and looked at her intently, after a few minutes she then said, "Okay, you can stop looking at me as if I tried to covert your precious family fortune okay. I can leave your family alone ma\'am that\'s not a problem for me at all really. I simply wanted to venture in the Paris market for a while, but then I your family already has a way out of bankruptcy than why did your precious son try to trick me into entering your company? All I wanted was to see if I could win a bet against my brother but turns out that I might lose the bet after all."
Mrs became quite after listening to Alicia\'s words, more like she was trying to weight out if she was speaking of the truth or not. Alicia simply continued with, "I guess this is when I wish you a good afternoon and leave right?"
She then simply, got up from her seat and started walking out of the Café without looking back.
The moment she left, Mrs Mathew received a message which was from her husband which read: Miss Alicia Adams has gotten us out of the embarrassment of bankruptcy and simply became a fifty-percent shareholder of the company. We haven\'t lost our company yet.
