My Journey as the Fox head clan

87 Brothers?

"C-Cause..." the female suddenly at a loss of words, her lies started to catch onto her since it wasn't easy to cover up one after another.

"Ehem...So you don't have to take responsibly." Harmon interrupted.

"Y-Yeah, that's, that's it!" Like a fish finally found its water, Grindy latched onto that lie faster than the speed of lightning.

Rubbing at his eyebrows, the tiredness and annoyance began to show its signs on Viosus's pale face. He had began to realize no matter what he said, it would never get through their heads. Seeing him at his wit's end, Porsogon decided to take the matter into his own hand without thinking too much. What he didn't expect was hastily intervened a matter that didn't concern him would immediately caused suspicions within the crowd.

"Enough of this! The beast isn't lying..." The crowd grew silent and every eye was on Porsogon but his face didn't change one bit. He was used to being watched closely.

"I know that the beast is your guest but taking his side instead of your clan member is out of line, headmaster..." Harmon spoke up from the base of his throat, it was barely audible but he had grunted very clear at the word 'Head Master'. It was quite obvious his feelings hadn't subsided since the court meeting.

Harmon's statement instantly sparked controversy within the beast, the majority was nodding heads and side-eyeing Porsogon due to this. However, it didn't scare him even the slightest bit.

"There is no side, I only spoke the truth." Porsogon poise and composed appearance was something that hardly ever changed throughout the years. The essence of his presence had always made him well respected among all beast. So as soon as he said he was telling the truth, some beast had already been swayed. The impact of his confidence was something invincibly powerful.

Harmon huffed out angrily, he would continue to press for evidence but in front of so many beasts, it would only ruin his reputation if he kept on disagreeing with the Head Master of the clan. Grindy, on the other hand, wasn't satisfied, before she was stopped by her spouse, the words had flown out of her thin lips.

"I don't believe it! You are lying to protect him, both of you are liars!"

The crowd roared once again, not that they would rather believe a troublesome, sharp-tongued beast-woman. But unless their leader gave them a reason to hang on to, they had no other choice but to question his integrity.

"Yeah, how would the master knows?"

"It's an outsider and outsiders shouldn't be trusted..."

Porsogon sighed as the crowd suspicion grew high, he gave Viosus a look just a split second before speaking again, as a warning.

One second, two seconds, and then three. Not even a sound was made after Porsogon. They were all in shock.

Even Viosus who was supposed to be his accomplish stood there like he had been struck by a lightning with darkness overshadowing his expression. There was a ringing sound that overtook his hearing after those words. Viosus wasn't sure if it was due to the excessive anger building up within him.

The crowd was in awe with Porsogon's answer because in this world of the beast, besides being born with the same biological father and mother, the only way for two male beasts can be called brothers was by sharing one spouse. Their most desirable bachelor in the clan, their headmaster, without a word had become another beast's spouse. It was something so frowned upon by every beasts there.

Growing up and being united with another beast was a life long commitment and it was something sacred to the beasts. And it was a more of an important matter when it was the Head of the Clan who would be sharing his or her power with their spouses. There would be days worth of celebration in the whole clan when the ceremony took place. And it was, without a doubt, a serious political issue affecting the court.

So understandably, it was extremely shocking to every beast to hear that their headmaster was already belonged to another female. Let alone sharing his spouse with an outsider. Their pride couldn't have been more damaged than the second Porsogon admitted his affairs.

But before anyone could add another comment, Porsogon leaded the way and left with Viosus, leaving the crowd in awe behind them.

They walked back to Porsogon's house together, deadly quite. It didn't seem like both of them wanted to discuss what happened.

Right before entering the door way, Viosus suddenly stopped. He looked up from staring at his feet and look at Porsogon's pale blue eyes. There wasn't a slightest sign of emotion hanging on the boar face. Viosus wondered if he could ever understand this beast.

The Fox man walked closer to the still-standing Boar, until he was only few inches away from his right ears. Viosus normal warm voice became hoarse and dense. He spoke in a much slower, more serious manner.

"If you ever spread lies about my master again... I will kill you myself."
