A blue halo appeared on the tip of the Charge Blade without signs of warning.

In the game, the Charge Blade that was assembled with a blade and a shield—forming a double-edged axe—looked exactly like this. Upon assembly, the shield would be in the center of the blade’s body, and upon waving it, it would slide to the tip of the blade and become fixated there.
The design seemed to be meant for something more than cool special effects. There must have been some logic behind it.
While swinging it around, the heavy shield would be an additional weight to enhance the weapon’s inertia. If the design was done right, the shield could play a role in maintaining the balance of the weapon during hacking movements, just like what the feathers of arrows did. It could vastly strengthen the weapon’s hacking force.
