Could it be because I liked it?

How did I have this strange thought! I seriously wanted to slap myself to death!

I quickly dismissed this terrifying thought.

My high-heels stepped on the thin pebbles. As I was restless, I lost my footing unexpectedly. A sharp pain spread from the bare skin of my feet.

Fu Hansheng seemed to have sensed something and stopped in his tracks.

I was about to prop myself up when he suddenly strode towards me. Without saying a word, he carried me up and whispered into my ear, despite my astounded gaze.

“Jiang Ran, I didn’t expect you to use such tricks to seduce me.”

I was speechless. I struggled to jump down, but he restrained me even harder. His eyes revealed an intriguing emotion.

From the shadows of the trees outside to the bright lights in the house, Fu Hansheng’s handsome face appeared mysterious and camouflaged in the darkness.

The night was gloomy. Yet on this silent night, my heart felt like a bomb had been thrown into a lake, causing a surge of ripples.

My face turned bloodless. It wasn’t until Fu Hansheng entered the bathroom did I regain some color.

‘ Ding, ding.’ My phone received a notification from a text.

It was from Qiaoqiao.

“Babe Ran, I was waiting for you outside, but I accidentally bumped into that devil Fu Hansheng. I had no choice but to escape his tyranny. Don’t blame me for not waiting for you!”

I was still staring at the text when Fu Hansheng’s loud voice rang. “Jiang Ran!”

I jogged over and stood at the door while asking obediently, “What happened to President Fu?”

“Bring in my change of clothes.”

“Bring it in?”

My head buzzed. Had he forgotten about our relationship?

“Hurry up!”

Out of the blue, I heard his sinister warning.

I didn’t dare to disobey him, so I took his pajamas and carefully opened the door narrowly. Then, I reached a hand in. “Your clothes.”

I didn’t know how my obedience offended Fu Hansheng, but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the room without warning.

The hot air caused the area to be filled with a thick layer of mist, and the shower drenched me again. Just as I swept my wet hair to the back of my head, he bit my earlobe.

A shiver ran through me. I couldn’t open my eyes, but I resisted with my limbs. His hoarse voice seeped into my ear.

“When you’re with me, you’d better not think about other men. What did He Zhizhou return for? Could it be that he wants to reconcile with you, Jiang Ran? Let me remind you he’s already engaged.”

My heart inexplicably clenched at the mention of that name.

It had only been a few days since He Zhizhou returned to the country, and he had already gotten engaged. So what did he mean when he said those words to me?

Was he playing me like a fool?

Haha.

A horrifying grin flashed across Fu Hansheng’s lips. “Jiang Ran, I can’t believe such a scumbag could charm you. You really don’t reject anyone.”

“Aren’t you a scumbag, too?”

I subconsciously refuted him, and his expression turned nasty in an instant. He freed a hand and slipped it into my soaked sweater.

He kindly reminded me, “If you’d been more lenient with your words, you wouldn’t end up like this.”

“Oh?” I chuckled. “That’s why you’ve given me the cold shoulder for so long.”

He was silent, but his smirk was becoming increasingly unreadable.

The temperature of the water gradually dropped until it turned cold. He didn’t let me go either, so I subconsciously wrapped my arms around his firm waist in response to the bone-piercing coldness.

I couldn’t remember when he carried me out. I just feel very warm in his arms.

While I was in a daze, he hugged me and whispered into my ear, “You’re pretty smart. However, there’s something you’re wrong about. I’m not like other men.”

I felt a little itchy and moved my body. My eyelids were so heavy that I couldn’t lift them. I replied dully, “What’s different?”

Different sexual orientation?
