Chapter 11

Mu Fan walked away from the strength analyzer when he saw other people starting to arrive at the training court. The data on the electronic screen of the strength analyzer had disappeared. He didn’t know what that number had represented, nor did he know what impact it would have on the other people if they knew he had a level-17 physique. All he felt was that he could have punched a little harder.

I’ll try this again when no one’s here next time, Mu Fan thought to himself.

“Okay, assemble. Now that everyone’s here, I’ll be dividing the training rooms. Jereff, you’re responsible for third floor No. 2 as usual. Kemal, third floor No. 7…” Man Kun appeared in the training court right on schedule. After a series of names, he continued. “Second floor No. 3 is requesting a practice partner; Perry, you go for that. Second floor No. 6 will be Jimmy… Umm, second floor No. 9, Mu Fan, that one’s yours. The remaining four people will wait for further notice.”

After assigning the training tasks for the afternoon to everyone, Man Kun looked around and said, “Let’s get to work!”

Everyone went to their designated spots, including Mu Fan. He recalled that training room No. 9 on the second floor was in the northwest corner, so he could just use the stairs not far away to walk up.

The decorations along the staircase had a vintage feel to them, and it was a surprising touch after too much digitalization and mechanics in the city, making people’s eyes lite up.

Mu Fan stopped in front of VIP room No. 9 and stared at the heavy black metal door that shined with a dim blue light. He inserted his name card in the ID-recognition machine on the side.

“Beep, authorized. Practice partner – Mu Fan, please enter.” A female cybernetic voice sounded from the lock as the metal door slid open to the two sides and then closed after Mu Fan walked in.

It is indeed different! Mu Fan thought as he looked around in the clean and organized training room. The machines that had metallic glares were placed in different zones according to function, and there was a resting room where clean training suits and towels were hung up neatly in rows. There were even packages of food neatly placed on an acryl glass table not far away.

It surprised Mu Fan since the size of this enclosed training room was the same as training court No. 5 on the first floor!

Mu Fan then walked into the first room to the right with a sign that read [Strength Training].

“Dad! I know already! Okay? Stop repeating yourself. Your son’s not military material. Do you think I can even pass their tests and go to military school? Why can’t I learn to do business like you? We even have the same body type! I’ll definitely be a good fit to take over the family business!”

“What? No discussion? If I don’t go, then you’ll cut one month of my allowance? Ah Dad, you’re my real dad, how can you watch your son lose a ring of fat within a month! I’ve been so well-behaved lately. I didn’t go racing because you told me not to, and I didn’t go to the casino because you said no. I only ate three meals per day and played a bit on the PO Battle Network. I’ve been such a good boy, why are you forcing me to finish your unfinished dream… Hello? Dad? Pa? Father! Damn…” A young chubby boy in a grey suit and white shirt with a neck bow was sitting at the back seat of a levitation vehicle, and he was frowning as he stared at his skycom in his hand. He got hung up on.

“Uncle Wu, can we not go to the Budokan? Can you put me down at the HL Plaza instead? I said I was going to meet up with my friends there; it will look like I don’t keep my promises if I don’t go.”

The man driving at the front had a head full of white hair, but he was well-presented in a red servant uniform. He drove carefully as he stared forward and replied to the chubby boy, “Sorry, Young Master, the Master has ordered me to drop you off at the Budokan and then pick you up after four hours.”

The boy was so chubby that the buttons on his suit were left open, and the corners of his suit were all wrinkled underneath him, looking pitiful.

“Uncle Wu~” His voice sounded like he was about to cry.

“I’m sorry, Young Master.” Uncle Wu apologized as he was unmoved by the boy’s voice and focused on driving. “You know what Master’s temper is like; please don’t make this hard for me.”

“Alright, let me know when we get there.” The tearful tone in his voice disappeared within a blink of an eye, and the chubby boy continued to browse through the PO Battle Network for more combat videos on his skycom.

“Emm… fantasy mode or reality mode? Definitely fantasy mode! I’m not going to watch any gruesome and bloody videos. My ‘Lemon Balloon’ is the best. Let’s see what new techniques they’ve developed recently. Hehe, I won’t be able to keep my leading position among my classmates if I’m not diligent enough,” the chubby boy murmured to himself as he poked at the 3D projections coming from the skycom.

Harry was the heir of the owner of the Fuwen Corporation on Planet Loga. Even the most impoverished places would have rich people. Although the Fuwen Corporation hadn’t stepped into the top wealthy circle on the planet, the gap between the rich and the poor would continue to grow if one party dominated in strength and resources. Harry always thought of himself as a pacifist, and he indeed grew up into a peaceful chubby boy. He looked exactly like his dad when he smiled, and it was as down to earth as the daily essential products their company sold, which ranged from skincare and makeup to stationery items. Although they were not a high-end brand, the mass quantity of products that they sold every day allowed their fortune to quickly stack up.

“Mm, this is a cool move. Let me see what it is called…’Lotus Landing’? Such a common name; it’s not domineering at all. It should at least be called ‘Dark Sky – Five-Petal Lotus Landing’ or something dashing and cool like this. Nevertheless, it’s still a nice move.” The chubby boy was attracted to one of the masters in Fantasy Mode who was a Platinum 5-Star player. A red-white mech suddenly flew into the sky as it created four phantoms. Then, the five merged back into one and grabbed another mech in its arms before crushing its opponent onto the ground, creating a large radial crater while flames dashed in all directions. The saliva almost came out of Harry’s mouth when he saw the video as he had no resistance towards dazzling moves like this. One of the special things in the fantasy style was that moves beyond human capabilities could be made possible based solely on imagination.

“Let’s see what the setting is here… Five modified fantasy mode RG-II model thrusters, the simulation level at the cockpit needs to be at least decreased by 30%, and there is 9X the gravitational force on the operator. Emm, 9X must be painful. Maybe I should decrease the simulation level by 40%; it won’t be used to battle other players, but at least I’ll look cool with it! Then, maybe change the engine to the ninth generation, oh the 7,888 star coins gift bag has a two out of three chance of getting fragments of the ninth generation engine… I’ll get more of those when I get back… so it’ll be 7,888 star coins times by at least 15… Argh!!! My allowance for this month will be gone again!!!” Chubby Harry felt even more upset as he counted with his fingers. He felt like a tragedy was about to strike.

“Young Master, we are at the Budokan. Please get ready to leave.”

The levitation vehicle stopped suddenly but steadily from full speed and parked in front of the Starfall Budokan. The vehicle was uniquely designed with a black and red color scheme, and a huge vintage U-shaped grill presented others with a huge visual impact. Seeing this luxurious car, the Budokan knew that an important VIP was here. By the time that Chubby Harry unwillingly put his skycom away and got off the car, the four men in black standing in front of the Budokan gate were already lined up in two rows to greet him upon arrival.

“Young Master, everything has been arranged for you at the Budokan. Someone will call you when the time is up, and I’ll wait right here for you,” Uncle Wu slightly bowed and said to Harry.

“Mhmm…” Chubby Harry answered unwillingly and dispiritedly as he could tell that Uncle Wu wasn’t going to leave until he walked into the Budokan. He had no choice but to forget his little idea of sneaking away.

“Good afternoon, Mr. Harry. We have you booked for VIP training room No. 9 on the second floor. Please follow me.” A female receptionist in a short skirt with a curvy figure greeted Harry in a soft voice as he entered the Budokan.

“Eh, lead the way,” Chubby Harry answered carelessly. Then, he looked at the butt before him move left and right rhythmically with interest as he followed her upstairs.

Meanwhile, in the strength training room within VIP training room No. 9, Mu Fan’s veins bulged on his hands as he held onto a one-directional long-handled strength-training hammer with both hands. He swung it up and down while sweat was falling like raindrops. There was a stack of metal weights that was more than one-meter-thick combined hanging on the opposite side of the hammer.
