After reaching the town, Kite immediately carried Wendy to the hospital and ordered two guards to call for Nana from the castle. He entered the room and gently placed Wendy on the bed before waving his hand in the air.

The room was suddenly illuminated as the candles suddenly started burning with a renewed vigor.

A little girl close to Kite's waist entered the room, accompanied by two guards wearing the dusk armor. He waved his hand once again, indicating them to leave the room.

"Ask Kattara to come here, this instance...." Kite closed his eyes as his conscious was rapidly pulled above the fog. He saw an ancient castle and a cloaked figure sitting around the round table.

"Klein(Roland) ask Mellena to keep an eye on the newcomers, one can never be too cautious if any of them display hostile intent then knock them unconscious."

The figure behind the great grey fog nodded before he raised his hand towards Kite who felt himself rapidly falling downwards, the castle rapidly shrinking away from his sight.

After coming back to the real world, he opened his eye and motioned Nana to come closer.

"Use your magic to heal her injuries also try to see if you can remove the poison from her body."

Nana immediately nodded and walked forward with steady steps, she raised her left palm and placed it on Wendy's ankle.

Thuk...

The door creaked open as a woman of average stature and slightly dark features entered the room, she wore a maid uniform and respectfully bowed towards Kite who's face was covered under his cloak.

"You summoned me, Master.....!?"

"Yes Kattara, I want to use your powers and calm down Wendy's mind. Dull her senses and alleviate her pain."

'Also search her memories for any useful information related to the witches, church, Nightingale and even herself...'

Kite utilized the network of thoughts created by Kattara to send this message to her in secret, he could use her memories to his advantage and even gather more information.

Kattara nodded although feeling a little reluctant to do so, she had her orders and she had to follow her master's wishes no matter out she thought of it.

Kite turned around and walked towards the shelf to pick up some chemicals and ingredients. He placed it all on the table and crushed a dark blue fruit before collecting the liquid it produced in a bowl.

He proceeded with plucking some leaves from the branch of the Kratos tree and dipped them inside the liquid he extracted previously.

The Kratos tree was a rare tree that was very hard to find and obtain due to their nature of growing near the demon's nest. Azik had collected some branches when he visited the mountain.

"Change her clothes and clean her, I will ask a maid to provide her with some clothes. Let her rest and if she walks up then use your power to put her back to sleep. She will be fully healed by tomorrow evening."

Saying some he left the hospital to find Azik and the new witches, Roland had already arranged for their logging so he wasn't worried about the chaos.

Mellena was already watching over them for the time being thus he didn't have to worry about any attacks.

[Near the logging]

"First of all, talk some rest and recover your stamina. Your rooms are already prepared some relax for now. Usually, the dinner is done in the dining hall but today it will be sent to your rooms."

"I don't think any of you are wounded other than Leaf."

Hearing Azik's words they shook their heads, some of them had bruises over their body but it wasn't something a little rest couldn't heal.

Azik's yellow crystal eyes passed over them before settling on Leaf. She was standing with great difficultly, her injury wasn't fatal but it still pained her a lot.

He walked over to Leaf and supported by the shoulder, while she was indeed a little uncomfortable with his undead aura she didn't show it on her face, it would be extremely disrespectful of her.

"You should rest, I will cure your leg so enter your room..."

"I would first like to meet His Highness...."

"You can meet him after you have recovered, he isn't going to suddenly disappear....."

"My sisters and I are here in His Highness territory, I wish to make sure that my sisters are indeed save and he wouldn't capture us..."

Azik gazed deep into her eyes for sometime before picking her up in a princess carry. Leaf gently bit her lips and lowered her head but still held onto his neck.

"Very well, but first let's heal your ankle...."

He vanished from his spot before appeared in front of the study. He took out a bottle containing a strange green colored liquid and poured it gently over her ankle. The liquid started evaporating at a high speed but her ankle seemed to heal perfectly.

He put her down and pointed towards the door.

"He is inside, go talk to him...I will be waiting outside...."

"Thank you..."

Leaf nodded towards and took a deep breath to calm down her nerves, she was nothing but a common girl before becoming a witch and now she was going to talk to a potential candidate who can become the King of the country.

She gently pushed the door open and entered with a calm yet slightly nervous expression.

The study was illuminated by crystal embedded in the wall to act as bulbs. There sat Roland near the fireplace while jotting down something on a paper.

Seeing someone has entered the study, he put down his quill before looking towards Leaf with a slight smile.

"Welcome to Border town, I hope you and your friends are enjoying yourselves here."

"We are thankful for His Highness's hospitality and tolerance. Please forgive me but I will be blunt, may His Highness enlighten me about what you are doing to do with us....."

"I will provide you all a place to live among people as fellow humans, not like some oddity or demon. I am also willing to pay for the services you may provide. You all will be citizens of the border town and my subjects, so consider this like a job where you get paid for your services."

"You may also decline but to earn a livelihood you need to contribute to society and also keep your powers under control. I also provide a way for all of you to survive the [Awakening day] without any pain or casualty, given that you help me build a nation where everyone is equal and people treat each other as humans."

Saying so Roland stopped speaking and merely waited for Leaf's response. The said individual was currently observing Roland's face intently to see if he is telling the truth.

After a couple so seconds, Leaf bowed deeply to Roland before saying with a slight tremor in her voice due to the overwhelming emotions building inside of her.

"I thank His Highness from the bottom of my heart and swear to ȧssist you in all matters as long as His Highness works towards this utopia he created."

Roland smiles before saying in a joyful tone.

"This intent is not only mine but is shared amongst three individuals, one of them is the person standing outside the door. His name is Azik, one is me while the last one is another Awakened. You will meet him soon enough."

Roland had decided to mask themselves as Awakened as it helped them save the time of explanation and also provided an answer for their strange abilities.
