I've Become the Villainous Emperor of a Novel

Book 1 Chapter - 5 Chapter 5. The beginning.

It was only a week after Julia's ruling that the sentence of the Countess Envida's nobles was executed. No one repented of their sins until their sentence was executed and dragged away, as it was natural for them to trample on others.

In particular, Baron Scheta shouted to Julia as if it was just wrong and unlucky.

"Now it's all your world! But how long do you think the masters of the continent will be one!!"

Julia didn't budge at the words, just looked at them coldly. When she did not respond at all to the attempted provocation, they shouted, held by the soldiers.

"Do you think those humble things will be on your side? It won't be long before I put a knife in your back. Why don't you know you have to step on things you don't know about!"

Rather, Eusto and Felix moved their hands. I was about to shut up that loud mouth. But Julia restrained them by simply raising her hand. She looked at them with grace and dignity.

The sentence will be executed soon. It was the last ones who could say this.

'Those who have the audacity to the end don't even think of their own fault.'

Saying that itself was proof that their bottom was ugly. Whether it was a little too much punishment, my head became clean.

"It's not up to the filthy sinners to decide what future Jim will face."

“…….”

Those who bowed their heads as if they had resigned raised their heads to the voice.

"Those who buy it now, see what happens next and decide. So I don't feel the need to intimidate those who think you are humble.

Julia then replaced the horse with a look. That they have different bowls themselves. Baron Scheta bowed his head as if he was speechless at the heavy gaze.

Julia beckoned, and knights dragged them to the police station. There was a scream mixed with injustice and fear. After the execution, they were put in a chariot that had been enchanted and headed to work.

Their eyes on the wagon were different. Those who fear their future lives, those who are still bitter, those who have resigned.

"Your Majesty, do you not feel well?"

At Eusto's question, she looked at him quietly.

"Does it show?"

"It's usually hard to know."

Julia smiled lightly at the words. I hid it to hide it, but it didn't seem to be hidden well by Eusto.

It wasn't just a fresh feeling. But it wasn't because of the responsibility to sentence them. Rather, it was because of the dizzying feeling that if Cyril had not pointed it out and handled it at the palace, it would have been out of the way this time.

"I realized that Jim had a lot to take responsibility for."

For a week after the ruling, she checked and patched up the condition of Count Envida.

The reality was more relatable than when I was in the Imperial Palace. The laws and systems of the empire were less than he thought. But in the system, people were living in limbo.

I thought it would be okay because it's a novel and she has the power.’

But the reality here is tough. I went down town myself for a week. Their faces showed some anxiety, with hope.

"Honestly, it's not easy to trust the Emperor completely just because he did a good job once.’

Rather, I thought I should cheer up more. At least it was the right choice to decide to root out corrupt nobles."So, Eusto, you need to work harder in the future. Jim doesn't have a lot of people he trusts."

Of course there was a missing word between them. The modifier 'you can do whatever you want' is. But Eusto replied with a smile of delight.

"I look forward to it."

"Me, too, Your Majesty!"

Felix, who was listening to him, also said, "Don't forget yourself."

"Of course, Felix."

Julia is determined to accept it as a reality as an emperor, not as a novel. So I watched the carriage carrying the sinners silently until the end.

"Well done, Your Majesty."

"So are you.”

Cyril bowed down to greet Yulia, who returned to the palace after all the work. His face showed fatigue and satisfaction from replacing the emperor's vacancy.

That reminds me of our vice president.

She recalled a vice president who had taught one-on-one since she was a freshman at the company. It is similar to the fact that he was not very talkative and strangely said everything he had a similar personality.

But it was worthwhile to teach them because they looked so happy when they complimented them.’

It was a life that had now passed away, but the memory that came to mind was not bad.

Julia sat at her office desk and looked at the neatly arranged documents. It was an overwhelming amount of sighing.

"No, I can do it in no time!’

Julia clenched her fist and opened her mouth toward Cyril. This time she went to Count Envida herself, and she made up her mind.

"Cyril, was it worth it while Jim was gone?"

Her grinning smile meant that she would only hear "It was worth it." Cyril's eyebrows shook a little, but he soon nodded.

"Yes, you've been in touch with me."

"Felix did suffer."

Felix blushed proudly at her words. Even if we were far away, Felix's magic would solve it if we could keep in touch for a while.

Cyril looked at Julia carefully, fixing her glasses. I knew there was something I wanted to say, so I was told to say it quickly.

"So what are you going to do this time?"

For a short time together, Cyril had already realised that she was no ordinary emperor.

"Jim always talks like he's giving a hard name.”

"That's not what I meant."

But his eyes were opposite to what was said.

He's doing that on purpose.’

Julia replied to him with a small smile.

"Haven't you recalled all the titles of Count Envida this time?"

"Yes."

"It would be nice to have it under the emperor's command, but I have something I want to try."

"…what do you want to try?"

Cyril replied as if it was tempting. It was basically a feudal society, where Julia was the emperor. Each aristocrat had a land, and although there were differences between countries, the emperor did not possess the title.

"The only reason I was able to recover this time was because the Kingdom of Yulia was in the form of a title given to the Emperor.’

However, many areas that were other countries did not. In fact, the kingdom of Nas, where the Earl of Envida was located, was a united kingdom of each aristocrat. In short, the king did not give him a title, but the owners of each land joined forces. In that form, the royal authority could not be strong until it was strong.

However, the king's conferment of the title was not always a good thing. The problem was with hereditary succession. If he became a leader simply because he was born into a noble family, it would be easy to corrupt."I'm going to appoint a man to administer Count Envida this time."

"You mean you're not awarding a title?"

"Yes."

A satisfying smile came to Cyril's lips.

"You don't intend to limit yourself to Count Envida."

"Of course."

However, it would only strengthen resistance if it was asked by those who already had titles. First of all, I was going to start with the area where I regained my title due to the last war of conquest, and also the area that I would recover in the future.

It's the best way to do it. It's gonna be a test or something, but it's too much right now.

First of all, I was going to start in a way that was less objectionable and go back slowly.

"But that's why we're all confused, let's start with a single-handed title that doesn't inherit."

"I'm sure there will be a backlash against your Majesty's intention to seize all power."

"Do you think you'll be shaken by such a backlash?"

Cyril shook his head lightly at the words. Felix listened to the conversation by his side, quietly contemplating how such a person would bother him if he had one. It just so happened that there was magic to test.

"So, there's a lot of other areas that Duke Fez overlooked, right?”

"Is that why you asked me if I could do it while you were away?”

Julia laughed her head off at the remark. Cyril sighed and opened the office's document box. I brought a box of them and put them on Julia's desk.

"When His Majesty went to Count Envida, it was arranged."

"So many?"

"Because Duke Pez acted as if the empire belonged to him."

"But the bowl wasn't big."

"Yes."

In short, I wanted to control the empire, but I didn't have the ability to manage all the regions. Therefore, he swallowed only the yolk he could eat, and the rest thought it was affectionate, so he did as he wanted.

"It's more than I expected."

"Are you going to go to all these places yourself?"

"I think I'm wrong to ask that."

Julia skimmed through the documents. At first glance, most of them were not very powerful or famous for their stubbornness. It was also the lands that were forced to belong to the empire. Conversely, it was an area where people could revolt because they had no sense of belonging.

"In a word, it is easy to encourage the remaining royalty of another country."

Julia originally remembered the chaotic situation after her death. All the imperial reunification achieved at best was in vain. I didn't want to let that go.

It was not the person who caused the war that suffered when it happened. It was ordinary people going through war.

Julia spoke to Cyril like a sentence.

"Isn't all this a place where Jim has to look at himself?"

Cyril pulled the corners of her mouth and laughed at it.

I told you to stop testing.’

Now I see that's not a test, that's Cyril's bad personality. Julia showed a little dissatisfaction. Then Cyril talked as if he wasn't thinking of doing so.

"I believe in you."

"Jim didn't say anything."

After acting sulky for Yulia, he took the ring off his index finger and put it in front of her.

"Cyril?"

It was the seal of Count Venus. A seal that proves that he owns Count Venus.

"Your Majesty said that he wanted to give his future appointment a single-win title.”

"Yes."

"Then I'll put down the hereditary title in advance. Would you like to have faith in what I say?"He talked about a bolt out of the blue story casually. It was an unexpected story. Julia looked at him, doubting her ears.

This is a social class.

The hereditary title was his status. The prime minister was in a position that would disappear after Julia quit.

"Of course, returning the hereditary title and receiving a single-win title will maintain Cyril's status.….’

He smiled as he looked at Yulia, who was lost in thought as if to find out the truth.

"Your Majesty doesn't believe me either."

"No, it's not that...….”

It was separate from believing and not believing. It was like saying he would lay down his foundation.

"It's only natural that you want to ask if you're serious."

Cyril calmly opened her mouth to her troubled face.

"I think what you said is a similar story."

"…is that so?"

Cyril's mouth moved marginally with Julia's puzzled look.

"Strangely, Your Majesty seems to have a dull sense of 'things like this.'

His golden olive eyes seemed to dig keenly into himself over the clear glasses.

My heart is pounding.’

At the moment, I felt like he recognized that he was not originally Julia. Unlike Euston and Felix, he seemed to be going to go 'yeah?' even if he knew it.

Apart from that feeling, I felt tested again by listening to him. Julia spoke to him, disconcerted.

"Did you bring it up to let me know?"

Then Cyril smiled quietly and shook her head.

"You really don't believe me."

"So...."

"It's not that I don't trust it with work."

Cyril then pushed Count Venus' seal closer to her side.

"This is what I mean."

"Cyril..."

"I don't mind if you don't give me a single-win title."

Cyril spoke with sincerity. Rather, the status of aristocrat seemed to him to be bent.

'But even so, the foundation of Cyril is weak...….’

Of course, most of the existing aristocrats from Lanchea have now recognised him. But it was hard to say we were on good terms. Still, it seemed like a stream, if not a river, ran between them.

Julia let out a small sigh.

"Thanks for what you say, but it's going to be too much for you."

"Are you not confident?"

"…Huh?"

"Of course, as you say, I'm gambling."

He spoke with his usual cynical and cheeky face.

"If you go wrong or the empire collapses, you'll be broke at once."

"Even though I know that...….”

"But isn't it a big deal to come back with that kind of risk?"

Julia looked at Cyril in surprise.

'High Risk High Return…….’

It was an act of that sort. Cyril was rational at first glance. Most would comment like that on him. But he was the type to put his neck in danger if he served his purpose.

"Well, that's why Duke Fez risked his life to fight when he was on the rise.’

A sigh came out of Julia's mouth. Cyril talked a wedge into her face.

"You don't have one, do you?

"Do you want Jim to keep an eye on you?"

"That's right."

Cyril's corners of his mouth satisfactorily drew the horizontal. His hair, which came down calmly against his eyebrows, appeared to shake slightly.

"If your majesty is strong, who will ignore me? The Chancellor appointed and trusted by the Master of the Empire, not by anyone else."

Julia looked at him dumbfounded by the words.

"You must have been confident that Jim believed in you.""Otherwise, would he have been so easily removed from the palace by the Duke of Fez?"

Julia looked at him with disapproving eyes, resting her chin on the horse. I didn't mean to fight spiritually, but that's what happened. I was a little tired, but one corner was ticklish and I felt good.

"Maybe it's half because of the chill that's causing this world to lose its sense of the world."

Because Cyril followed too well.

"Even so, it's a bit of a dilemma.

Julia said so, then looked at him and said correctionally.

"Oh, of course I'm not saying I'm not confident. It's a waste of time to cut paper with a sword that can be used to catch dragons."

Cyril grinned at her words. Julia always showed a strong attitude, so he was able to bet generously. A light, yet decorative look came to her. Cyril roughly guessed what she was after seeing it. But he waited in silence for her words. Julia's aim was to be a great success.

On a chilly day, several nobles gathered at a salon in the capital of the Ranchean Empire, Mila. They had been looking into the car for about 10 minutes without a word, as they gathered in the salon like a habit for the holidays. It was because I still didn't realize what had happened this week.

Count Venus, let alone... Hereditary succession to Duke Marcus!’

They looked like they didn't know how they worked.

It was a middle-aged aristocrat sitting in the middle of nowhere who broke the silence.

"Have you all thought about what to do?"

Other nobles shook their heads at the question.

The person who asked the question was the Marquis Ardea, who was a member of Julia's staff at the time of the war. Marquis Ardea has also sought treason in disappointment with Julia, who has been in tyranny for the past two years. But she was pleased to see that she had been able to offer her allegiance again to Duke Pez.

But this one is hard to keep up with.’

To them, it was like asking them to lay down the land they were stepping on. Until now, I took it for granted that I had an identity, and I thought that my child and grandson would inherit the status in the future.

"If I were alone, it would be easy for me to decide.

When I saw Yulia, the current monarch, I could trust her and put her down. But we don't know what the emperors will do to succeed her. At least it wasn't an easy decision to make for them with families and offspring to keep. A heavy sigh fell in the salon.

"But don't you think you lack loyalty to your majesty by keeping your mouth shut?"

It was disgraceful to think that Cyril Venus was worse. They remembered a few days ago, agonizing over and over again.

That day Julia gathered all the aristocrats who worked in the palace and talked.

"I think everyone knows what happened in Count Envida."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"Thereby, we have recovered a number of earl titles. I'd like to leave it under Jim's wing."

There was nothing strange about it. There were many places in the empire that were in serious condition due to war or the fault of the previous leadership. Among them, the Envida area was even more so. I haven't had a proper leader for a long time, so I didn't care. In addition, it was an area where the emperor came forward and set an example. Therefore, anyone with eyes would watch how to rule there in the future. It's much better than a half-hearted abdication.

"It will prove that your reach will be fine."

The nobles nodded, thinking the emperor's judgment was wise.

"However, Jim has a wide range of places to govern, and there will be limitations in managing it directly from the center."

Julia said so and cleared her throat slightly. All the nobles were nervous about the emperor's actions. It was her old habit to clear her throat while speaking. It's also a habit that you see just before you bring up stormy remarks.

It reminds me of a few years ago, when you declared to unify the continent after you ascended the throne.’

I felt such a sense of deja vu. Their sense of sensitivity as they served her for a long time announced the highest danger alert ever.

"So Jim wants to send a janitor to Count Envida. This is not a hereditary position, and any new titles to come will do so."

Julia smiled confidently with the words. The nobles looked at her face for a moment. And answered with a clear head.

"…What?!"

But Julia talked like a storm without even giving them time to organize their thoughts.

"Before that, Count Venus and Duke Marcus decided to return their hereditary titles."

"…Yes?"

They alternated between Cyril and Eusto's faces with faces that they might have misheard. The two men closest to the emperor stood as usual with stiff faces. So the nobles struggled to think that their ears were strange.

'That can't be true.’

"It would be awkward for Count Venus to abdicate his title.’

You're saying you're offering some of your inheritance.'’

They thought they heard it wrong. But Julia spoke with a grain of salt.

"Then Jim was proud of them and decided to give them a new title."

The nobles saw her with the face of being beaten in the head by the horse.

It was a dizzying memory to recall. Of course, after that, Julia said that she would have many ways to win a single-win title in the future, and that she would create supplementary measures. And fully explained to them why she made that decision.

It's unconventional, but I'm sure it'll be better in the long run.’

Even so, it was not easy for anyone to put down what they had.

"But if you need it, Your Majesty will be willing to put down the Emperor's seat...….’

They recalled the images of Julia that they had seen since the days of the little princess. The princess, who was only half her size, talked about her ideals while looking at her deep blue eyes even though she was young.

"…it reminded me of the old days."

The old people, who were in charge of educating the princess as a child, spoke.

"Your Majesty has long tended to push back when he sees fit."

"That's why I followed it."

They suddenly recalled their old memories and made a weak laugh.

So I was not sure about the two years that you were weird.’

This is why he hesitated even though he thought it was strange. I decided to do it because I kept silent even if I was against it. But usually before she decides, she gives reasons, and the results are pretty good. Furthermore, she listened with open ears to the objectors, citing good reason.

"So I was confused, and I thought you'd become strange."

The Marquis Ardea has been determined to recall decisions made over the past two years and before that by Julia. The kids might blame me.’

But an emperor he believes will create an opportunity to regain his title on his own. Above all, it was nothing if you think of the awful Duke of Pez in power, the strange Julia. If there's any hope of getting better, I can take any chances.

Marquis Ardea spoke quietly to the nobles in the salon.

"I decided on the day I confessed to the treason plot that I would follow whatever you do."

"Marquis..."

"I'll put it down. Even we can't be of help if we don't follow what you do."

At the Marquis's words, the nobles, who had only seen tea cups in the salon, looked up one after another. They nodded their heads with determined faces.

The next working day after the holiday, the nobles came to Yulia with grim faces. They handed her a royal seal a week ago, just as Cyril did. It was surprising, to be honest, that it was faster and more than expected.

'My shoulders are getting heavy.’

It was a gamble for Yulia, too. They put down their identities because they trust her. Even if they're kept alive with a single-win title.

Those who were not actually from Ranchea still had hereditary titles. It was a gamble to lose weight and take bones.

It's not something to like, always remember this weight.’

If the imperial power is not strengthened in the future, the gamble is likely to be a failure.

'And so is the external threat.’

Julia recalled after her death in the novel. He was in chaos again without meaning to fight a war of conquest war of conquest. In a word, the Empire's maintenance now was tantamount to relying on Julia's charisma.

"You have to get your act together. For Cyril and Yusto, who took the initiative and took the initiative."

When there was an overwhelming power of Julia, I had a hunch that the power of the aristocracy should be removed and the empire stabilized.

I keep having a hunch that I have to hurry.’

I knew I shouldn't be impatient, but my heart ran. Julia recalled last week when Cyril clenched her fist and said she would drop the title.

"I'm worried that you can't have a big effect by putting down your title alone.”

"That's right."

Cyril spoke coolly as if he knew where he was.

"Trying to put it down because I'm from another country and rebellious, it'll just seem like I'm protesting something."

"Most people think you have a narrow vision."

Cyril was immediately convinced by the words. Then, I heard a knock. It was a visit from Eusto. He opened his mouth with a look of apology as he came in.

"I'm ashamed of myself. I was waiting outside for a while, so I heard the conversation."

Julia shook her head at the words. That would have been exactly what it sounded. Juliana Eusto can sense the gas or sound more sensitive than anyone else.

I'm gonna have to ask Felix for magic next time, just in case.’

Now it was Eusto, but someone might be listening and hiding it.

"Your Majesty, would it be helpful if I put the Duke down?"

"…Huh?"

Julia once again doubted the ear.

'No, honestly, I thought Eusto would come out like that.’

I'd be lying if I didn't think that far inside. He had plans, and expect it to act like that. But I didn't think he would give up his title without that much hesitation.

In the novel, Eusto struggled to get a title.’The only child in his predecessor, Duke Marcus, was Eusto, but he was illegitimate. Although the Duchess admitted him, other retainers did not. I thought it would be better for the nephew of the predecessor Duke to succeed the title. Nor did his predecessor, Duke Marcus, think of being a force for Eusto. They acknowledged him because without children, their foundations faltered.

It was a completely different story to pass on to children and to give to brothers. The brothers were rivals, not successors. It was worse by the time of the Duke.

'It wasn't Yulia in the novel, but there were many problems during the reign of King Sun.’

The royal authority was not so weak, but the nobles did not trust the king and were busy keeping him in check. In such a muddy environment, Eusto became the winner of the battle for title.

So I never meant to talk to you first.’

For Eusto, the title was thought to be close to all of him. It was a symbol that allowed him to be recognized and become the center of the aristocracy, who had always been denied. Therefore, even though Cyril planned to induce the return of the title, he thought it would not be easy to recommend it to Eusto and other nobles.

Just thinking about it makes me feel like I'm too much for Eusto.’

But Eusto told her as if it were nothing. He had the usual friendly face that he could do anything for Julia.

"If I'm not good enough, I'll be Marquis Ardea...….”

"No, no. It's full and overflowing."

"Is that so?"

He smiled gently at Julia's words. She seemed happy that she could spend generously on what she was doing.

"But Eusto, are you sure you're okay?"

"Have I ever said anything stupid to you?"

His eyebrows drooped slightly. She looked like she didn't give her faith.

'Wow, it's better for Cyril to be blunt.’

A face blaming itself instead of a complaint was a foul. Julia shook her head hastily at the words.

"No, it's not that... Cyril and Eusto...…. I think it's bolder than Jim.”

Julia spoke frankly. Then Felix, who stood by her side, spoke with a slight puff in her cheek.

"I could have helped if I had a title.”

Julia laughed at Felix's words. The two men's enormous decision seemed to open their breath a little.

"Felix is still a big enough help.”

"That's a relief.”

His swollen cheeks were filled with pride as he found his original form. Julia held her breath once and told them.

"Maybe if Eusto and Cyril drop the title, other nobles will be troubled."

"I think so."

"But it's not easy for them to really drop the title. I'm trying to show you that you can do as much as you want with a single win.”

Eusto and Cyril laughed similarly at Julia's words.

"What's wrong with you?"

"You're trying to figure out how to induce other nobles, aren't you?”

Julia nodded at Cyril's words. Because I didn't think one shock therapy would do so simply. But the two talked as if it were a waste of time.

"Maybe it's more efficient to decide based on other people's responses."

"Huh?"

When Julia was puzzled by Cyril's words, Eusto nodded in agreement.

"I agree with Count Venus, Your Majesty.""…Huh?"

"To Eusto?"

Julia wondered, but immediately shut her mouth in a pile of papers next to Count Venus' seal that Cyril had given me.

'Honestly, I didn't think you'd act like this.’

Even though he read the novel and experienced it himself, he did not seem to trust the nobles very much.

'No, no. I'm a very common sense person. It's even more amazing to act like this.’

Julia smiled humbly and saw the seals of the nobles piled up. She was going to cast a spell on these seals and drop them back to single-handedness. Felix was going to take charge of this work, with magic that only the recipient retains that right.

This magic seemed to be a tricky magic to listen to other people. To be exact, there was little need to use this magic, so it was sometimes used in the early days of the founding. Now that the data is almost lost, it has to be made virtually new. Felix, however, stepped up first without any hesitation when Julia wondered what to do.

Leave it to me, Your Majesty.

"Is it possible?"

"Yes, I can make the impossible possible, if it's what you want.’

Three days after that, Felix seemed to be working his way through the night. As if there should be no loopholes in Julia's work, he seemed to be studying the magic necessary for management.

He said he could take a few days off from work because his eyes are getting darker and worse. Felix, however, flatly refused.

"You told me not to come near you. Did I do anything wrong to you?’

Felix said as if a break was a punishment. Rather, I have to work next to Yulia to breathe."

'It's not good to lose sleep because you're still growing up.’

Felix was seventeen when he was in his prime. I said it out of consideration because I knew he cared about his shorter height than Eusto.

It's cute how tall you are.

Felix wouldn't want much. Julia let out a small sigh. It was working out as I thought, but strangely, I had a narrow mind.

I envy you.

In this case, I remembered my life as a Song-ha who decided to bury it. As a shipper, he built his own foundation well. Her subordinates weren't very nice to her, but there was no major trouble at work. I used to rely on her all the time, especially when it came to this manager. The boss used to compliment her with half lip service, saying that the company was running well because of her.

Of course, it wasn't that I couldn't recognize my life as Yulia. Aristocrats, rebellion and they think and act to follow her results. However, whenever I saw such unexpected loyalty or Felix's sparkling eyes, I felt guilty.

I'm just using what I borrowed.

I'm sure it's himself working and himself cheering up, but that didn't seem to be his achievement. I was overwhelmed by the thought that it was Yulia who laid the foundation for this.

"…I originally thought Julia was already dead."

He was probably the one who would have died if he hadn't come in.

"And the ending of the novel."

Nevertheless, I couldn't help but feel guilty or uncomfortable.

"I envy you so much. I wouldn't have been able to close my eyes properly.""Of course, it's hard to close your eyes now."

I heard a voice suddenly in my ears.

"I thought my heart was about to drop!"

Julia turned her head in surprise. Cyril stood with her usual face.

"…when did you come in?"

"I just came in."

Julia checked her watch at the word. His always-tight break was just over.

"So what are you jealous of?"

"No, it's nothing."

"Is that so?"

Cyril changed the subject with a face that he was not very curious about after asking.

"What are you going to do about the upcoming New Year's ball?"

"Huh?"

Julia looked at the words with a clear head.

'I completely forgot.’

It was autumn, and September when Julia became. Since then, I have lost track of time to restore the administrative affairs that have become a mess after putting my life on the line.

I think it was similar when I was working...….’

When I finish my work without passing the year, I used to realize that the year has passed by the end of the year. Soon after the year-end party, I was buried in work to mark the new year, so I gradually felt that I lived a dry life recognizing the end of the year as just a busy time.

On Yulia's half-dazed face, Cyril spoke as if pressingly.

"Your Majesty, I believe you know you have to pay attention this year."

With an expression that he doesn't believe it at all.

The New Year's ball was not just a ball. If another ball or party was a social occasion, the New Year's ball was more political.

Cyril spoke with great sarcasm at her response.

"Your Majesty cannot have forgotten."

'I noticed you forgot, I noticed.'

Julia did not try to cheat at times like this. She decided to be honest and ask for help.

"Sorry, Cyril."

"…ha."

Cyril sighed deeply. But soon he fixed his face. Rather, he seemed to be comfortable to be honest.

"I remember what I said last time."

"Is that so?"

"At the New Year's ball, Jim's wrong orders required the official announcement of the lottery of those who were held or deported."

"That's right."

"And……."

Julia recited one by one as if to review what Cyril had told me before.

Due to the tyranny of Julia and the corruption of the Duke of Fez over the past two years, he was busy inside and outside the country. In addition, after the reunification of the continent, all nobles had never been brought in. Therefore, the New Year's ball was planned to invite not only the former Ranchea but also the aristocrats from other countries.

We'll put everything together and start the ceremony.

In fact, I frowned slightly because I didn't like kick-off ceremonies or year-end parties in my previous life. However, I fully understand the need. It will be the first official event since Julia achieved imperial unification.

"Above all, surrender and cooperate to bring back the "royals"."

"Yes, it's a perfect name."

It has been one of the troubles that Duke Pez has done over the past two years. Julia spared the lives of the surrendered royalty, but she did not let them go.

The surrendered royal family managed in two ways. The first is to retrieve all the titles and live normally in designated lands. In this case, surveillance was also attached under the name of escort. The second was the case of giving an honorary title without a land, allowing him to live in the capital.I was trying to keep an eye on people who were not aware of whether they were dangerous or not.’

In the novel, Julia was wary of some of the overly cooperative and good-natured royals. In the eyes of those who did not know the circumstances, Julia kept them around so that they seemed to be trusted. But about a year ago, Duke Fez was frightened of sharing his power with them and drove them out of their original lands.

'Cause on the face of it, they were Julia's helpers anyway.’

Thanks to this, they were freed for about a year. I knew very well that it was dangerous. So after killing Duke Pez, I thought about how to call them the capital. Julia should not have been wary of doubting them.

"It was two people in the novel that Julia especially kept close to.’

I was the king of Weddin and the princess of the Duchy of Irene. The title they received from Yulia was equally earl. Of course, it was just a title for status, with no separate territories or real power.

'Finally, I'll meet you both in person. There were always good stories in novels.’

He was the most curious character while blocking and recovering from treason.

'Cause I was suspicious when I read it.’

Both seemed externally to help Julia pick up the pieces of a unified continent. At the end of the war, she thought, "Is it all right if I don't doubt it anymore?"

'Don't let your guard down. Because the end of Julia in the novel was death.’

Under Cyril's leadership, the New Year's ball was arranged step by step. The invitation of the emperor was sent throughout the continent, and everyone expressed their intention to attend except for those who had unavoidable circumstances such as illness.

Three days ahead, the ball is just around the corner. It was a time when Julia was barely over her busy time working and preparing for the ball.

Your Majesty, Earl Irene and Count Wedin ask for an audience.

"Did you two arrive?”

Flena nodded at Julia's question.

"It's been a long time, both of you."

"I know."

Julia was new to me, but casually sympathized with Flena.

In the novel, Julia treated them like brothers.’

It was a way to show that I trust the two people. She stood up, covering up the documents she was looking at for a moment.

When I went to the audience room, I saw two people who seemed slightly tired, perhaps just arrived in the capital city of Mila.

"I see His Majesty, the Lord of the Empire."

"Both of you had a hard time coming."

Julia sat on the roof and greeted them. When I told them to raise their heads, the faces of the two caught my eye.

"The trouble is, I'm in a hurry because I think I'll be able to serve you again."

It was Princess Irene who said so. Silver hair, which came down like a gentle wave, and a transparent ego were deeply impressed. Jenai Irene, the famous saint of the Duchy of Irene. She asked Yulia after the Duchy surrendered.

'I'm ashamed that I couldn't fulfill my responsibility to the country as a princess of the Principality. So please let me help you and work for peace on the continent.’

In fact, she used her name generously during the war. He assuaged those who feared the Ranchean Empire, and approached and served the war-torn.

'I can see why everyone calls her a saint.’

It was that kind of appearance. The apricot skin and lovely appearance had the magic to let off guard at first sight. Over the past year and a half, Jenna has done volunteer work around the continent. I traveled with only one knight from the days of the princess, who the emperor said it was okay to keep."He didn't ask me to do it, but he even reported everything he did."

That, on the contrary, was also a dubious reason. He seemed to be too cooperative with Yulia to be suspicious. There, of course, but the area she went to was particularly hostile to the Lanchea Empire.

Of course, you're going to that kind of area to lower your antipathy to the empire.’

On the contrary, one could suspect that he was searching for the remaining royal family hiding in such an area. Julia welcomed her, showing no outward signs.

"Jim is happy to have you by his side again. It may be a bit frustrating for you who have traveled all over the place, but please do your best here."

"Of course, I've been waiting for that."

Julia looked at the face carefully. But by any measure, he seemed to be very pleased.

It's not easy to doubt.

That was more the case with the type who seemed to pour out that kind of favor. Originally, she was more of a 'tell me if you have a problem!' type than a doubt.

"That's why he took more pictures of you."

I know it's not very clever, but I'd commit it out of my mind.

Next to the delighted Jenna, this time King Weddin spoke.

"I'm sorry it took me a while to get here, Your Majesty, even though I wasn't far from the capital."

I'm King Weddin, Brick Wade. He was the owner of a fortress-like country on the west side of the continent, surrounded by rugged mountains. With light brown hair and navy eyes, he caught the eye of the blue before anything else. The only royal family left in the kingdom of Weddin, he was weak to be born with. So he saw the war and surrendered to the Empire early on.

'You can't survive a war with such a weak body. I ask the Emperor to surrender because I think it's the only way to protect the people.’

He subsequently tried not to cause war damage to the Weddin area. There were many countries that had long existed on the continent. He also took the lead in urging neighboring countries to surrender.

Julia was worried that she might be saving her strength for later.

Brick had a faint smile on his face. He also showed no resentment or ill will towards Yulia in his attitude or expression.

I understand what you thought, "Is it okay for Julia to be cleared of suspicion.’

As a reader, I thought it was all a double jeopardy. Brick's illness also looked deep there. He recuperated not far from the capital, but I understood that it took a long time to come.

I guess he had to come slowly because he was weak.’

Julia opened her mouth with consideration for him.

"Early Weddin, you'd better get some rest.”

"Thank you for your consideration, Your Majesty. I'll make sure to get well until the ball."

"I'd appreciate it. The ball will be attended by the nobles of the Wedin area or the area where you interacted."

"Thank you. It's been a while since I saw them."

He bowed deeply and greeted her, saying so. Every single one of those attitudes was polite. In fact, he said that he had lived without much complaints on the estate that Duke Fez sent as if it were closed. He said he rarely went out, so even if he came out of the house, he was all about taking a walk in the mansion garden.

"You may have to do it if you're going to cheat.

I thought it would not be easy for him to be so weak. In fact, even a short acquaintance was difficult, so he left the audience with the support of his servant.Julia then tried to tell Jenna to back off as well. But she opened her eyes wide and looked as if to speak to her again.

'I feel pressure to sing quickly.’

Those pretty purple eyes seemed to be filled with disappointment if not called. Even when she was at work, she was weak on the faces of her subordinates. She called her with a modest smile.

"…Jenna."

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

She replied as if she had waited.

I'm starting to feel like...….’

When I thought about where I saw it, I immediately remembered who it was.

It's the same way Julia answers when she calls Felix.’

Once again, the vigilance seemed to fade away.

I shouldn't have done this already.’

Julia sighed softly and beckoned Jenna to approach. She took off her coat to her knight standing next to her, and came up to Yulia. think about what to say first Julia opened her mouth, thinking, "If it were my brother, I would have done this."

"I think I've grown up a little while I haven't seen you.”

"Really? I was actually a little taller."

"I see."

"I wanted to be as tall as you, but it was too much."

She chatted like a bird singing. The cute personality made the corners of her mouth soft without realizing it.

'I want to say that Yulia, who's been wary of this kind of opponent, is amazing.’

Thanks to her, she felt a sense of crisis in her performance. Jenna asked Yulia with a grin whether she knew it or not.

"Come to think of it, who will you partner in this New Year's ball?”

It was only when Jenna asked that I remembered.

'Partner? I didn't think much about this either.’

The order of protocol and other procedural issues had been meticulously checked, but the ball partner had never been in his head.

Count Envida also used Eusto as a partner and forgot.’

I had doubts about my memory. But there was an excuse. There were so many political considerations in preparing for this New Year's ball. Thanks to this, I didn't have time to care about things that weren't as important as my partner.

Jenna laughed quietly at Julia's reaction.

"I thought you might have forgotten."

"Is that so……?"

"Your Majesty has not been interested in such matters."

Jenna said with a look of regret.

"There are a lot of great people around here, and you've never looked at them."

Even though it was a waste, Jenna seemed to like Julia. Come to think of it, in the novel, Julia always had a dry attitude toward others. Her passionate look was just a goal she always had in mind.

Even when Eusto unintentionally revealed her feelings for her, Yulia maintained her usual gaze whether she didn't know or pretended not to know.

I'm not in a position to think about that right now.

Unlike Julia, who was born and raised here, he had to adjust by acting like Julia.

It's an excuse.

Choosing a partner was one of the tasks given. When Julia let out a small sigh, Jenna smiled brightly and talked.

"But you only have to choose."

"You're just picking?"

"Sure, who would refuse your choice?"

It sounded like it wasn't just because Julia was the "emperor". Jenna had a face that she would be honored by any of Julia's choices.

"It's a great honor to be handed down from generation to generation, Your Majesty's choice!"

"I think there are more people who are afraid of luggage."As I spoke to her with my chin resting, I shook my head.

"Everyone like that should have their eyes examined!"

"Jenna."

At Julia's call, she smiled joyfully.

"It's been a while since you called me that."

Only then did I speak to Yulia with ease.

"I was worried that I might be hated because you didn't call me."

“…….”

"I heard that you punished Duke Pez. I'm ashamed of myself, but I expected you to call me right back to the capital."

"It looks like Jim kept you waiting."

Jenna smiled broadly at the words.

"But I was relieved. I thought you still believed me."

Jenna's words pressed Julia's conscience heavily. He seemed to prove his innocence, saying he was trying like this.

But I think that's why we need to be more vigilant.’

I couldn't help it. It was a neglect of duty not to be wary as long as I knew that there were people trying to make a move on the Lanchea Empire.

After having an audience with Jenawa, he moved to the smoke station, not the office. At this time, Eusto would be looking at the training of the Guard.

You need to move your body. I've been stuck in my office lately, so I feel uncomfortable.’

Even so, it was only about three days. This was the biggest change after becoming Julia. If I didn't move a day, I was a little sore. I felt refreshed when I took a walk, maybe because I was so physically fit.

'I used to be an office worker who didn't like working out.’

I always exercise, I will, but used delay. Of course there was a reason for that, too.

Working overtime, preparing for tomorrow's briefing or something like that sort of thing.

I didn't do the weekend because I had to take a good rest. Because I didn't want to overwork myself until the day off.

It's not that I'm lazy, it's normal.’

I was stabbed for nothing and made excuses to myself. That's why I found this body more interesting. I don't hate moving around. Above all, I felt it was a waste to quit training because I had such a strong body for the first time in a while.

As Julia entered the soft field, Eusto and other guards stopped moving and set an example.

"I see His Majesty, the Lord of the Empire."

"Yes, go ahead."

Julia waved her hand as if she had done it. At Julia's words, the Guard moved tensely again. I approached Eusto, capturing their actions one by one. Whose movements were inaccurate and whose movements were sluggish.

"They'd better do a little more basic training.”

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"I understand it's almost time for a fight."

"Do you need an opponent?”

She smiled brightly and nodded at Eusto's question. Of course, I didn't come simply for a confrontation. When Jenna heard about her ball partner, the first thing that came to mind was him.

Count Weddin is a former king of Weddin, and he may have his own symbolism.

Nevertheless, it was only one of the kingdoms conquered by the Lanchea Empire. In this situation, it was necessary to highlight the relationship with Eusto rather than take advantage of the symbolism of the remaining royal family. The empire endured after reunification because of Julia's overwhelming power and Yusto's support.

"and the other nobles know that the relationship between the two has been going on in the last two years."

Julia, who used to be a tyrant, was more reluctant to play Yusto than Cyril, who used to make blunt remarks. He used to be more irritated than usual whenever he made a plea without firing him from the guard.Maybe it was because Eusto was special, even though he was on drugs.

The nobles in the capital may know that their relationship with Eusto has been restored, but it could not have been others. I thought it was an opportunity to have a relationship and I might find a gap.

We're gonna kill the embers.’

Regardless of the relationship between Julia and Eusto, there may be some who raise ambition. However, just knowing the relationship between the two was likely to break or back down.

'I need you to stay calm.’

Otherwise, we have to use force. Julia took off her jacket for the fight and handed it to Plena.

"Do you want me to prepare you for your bath in advance?”

"Yes."

It was a small but thoughtful suggestion. I wanted to soak in warm water after I moved my body.

About five minutes later, Eusto ordered the Guard to fight and approached Yulia. When Julia handed him the wooden sword, he naturally took it in his hand.

"You couldn't warm up properly because Jim hadn't been walking for a while.”

"That's all right, I know you're busy."

"So do you.”

In fact, Eusto was more busy preparing for the ball than usual. As it was the end of the year, there were more places to pay attention to public security than usual due to crowds flocking to the capital. In addition, as long as he was a duke, he had something to pack for the ball itself.

"But it's no match for your majesty.

The two men lightly bumped into the wooden sword. Thanks to Daeryeon again and again, we knew each other's habits in detail. Both men continued their attacks with impunity. When I saw it, the Guard, who was in the middle of a fight, glanced at it.

"How is that possible?’

'If I were you, I would have been beaten.’

The two men also did not stop them from sneaking around the Guard. Unlike competing in person, there will be things to study. By the time the swords hit each other several times and exchanged sharp attacks, Julia opened her mouth.

"Yusto, have you decided on a partner for the ball partner?

“…….”

Eusto looked at Yulia with a moment of frustration.

Is there anyone who wants to go?’

I was embarrassed to think so.

"You were too confident."

I unconsciously thought that Yusto would not choose a partner other than Yulia.

"If you have someone to go to…….”

"That's not it!"

Eusto shouted urgently at Julia's words. Julia aimed at that time to knock down Eusto's wooden sword. However, he also held the sword firmly this time, as it has been repeatedly tried. Eusto spoke with a sigh of relief.

"I was going to tell you first."

"First?"

"I thought you'd definitely forget about it until the day before."

Julia frowned at the words. It was highly likely that Jenna would not have told me.

'I'm sure you've only realized the day before after Eusto told you.’

It was a bit rude, but Julia didn't mean to put on airs in this place. Because it was Yulia's behavior.

"As a matter of fact, I probably did.”

"Sure…"

"I knew it because Jenna told me."

"Oh, so...….”

Eusto was immediately convinced by the words. Along with him, I was worried about his face. He was one of those who knew Julia was wary of them. Other than that, Felix and Flena knew.

"The Earl of Weddin has arrived today. You don't have to worry too much, Eusto."

"Yes."

With him, Eusto's sword penetrated quite sharply this time. Julia leaned back and laughed over his attack."Is it better to be Jim's partner than that?"

"Of course, Count Irene is in debt."

Eusto sighed with a face, "I've been beaten again.

I don't think Jenna and Eusto got along very well.’

It was more of a face-to-face feeling than a bad one. On the contrary, Felix and I were on good terms. Strangely enough, Eusto has often been in trouble.

I think Eusto got along rather well with Count Weddin.

Brick, former King Weddin, used to rely on Eusto. Unlike Jenna, who is called a saint and has always been among people, he was not very friendly. As if he was ashamed of his weak body, he would be stuck all the time if he didn't need it.

However, he also had a conversation because Eusto was in charge of various security and escort services. Perhaps that's why he would often consult him if he had a problem in the novel.

"On the other hand, I think he wanted Eusto to be on his side."

That's why Julia was more wary of him. Eusto, of course, did not thoroughly let him approach anything more than public relations. Yulia was the only one who would serve Eusto.

'Shall we finish the fight?’

She watched Eusto's attack and stepped hard on one foot and received his sword head-on. The two swords facing each other were shaken.

Julia looked at Eusto with a serious face. The dark green eyes hit her on par as unshakable as they were at odds. When Julia relaxed for a moment in a tense power struggle, Yusto's body shook slightly.

It was a very short moment, nothing to call a gap for other knights. But Julia didn't miss the gap and thrust her sword into the weakened area.

"That's all for today."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Eusto smiled affectionately even though he ended up losing.

"May I ask you a question?"

"Huh? Do it.”

Julia replied, thinking that she had questions during the confrontation. But Eusto's question was an entirely different subject.

"What color is your dress for the ball?"

The acrid air poked my nose in a bad way. The ground was soft wherever you stepped. Unless he knew the way in advance, he would slide countless times while climbing. I wasn't talking about crazy people or mountain climbing for no reason.

'The problem is that crazy guy is my client.’

The man found a seat where his feet did not sink in. He went up and up, swearing dozens of times inside. Even in the middle of winter, the man took off his jacket and tied it to his waist. Even so, my sweat quickly dripped.

I'm trying to make ends meet.

The man kicked his tongue and recalled his offending client. I don't know what it is, but why do we have to live in this creepy rough land?

"You look like a young gentleman with a lot of heritage.’

Since the long war was over, the man who was making ends meet with mercenary work found anything that made money. This was one of those things.

The entrance was found in a dense forest through the mountainside. With a heavy stone door, it is said to be a hidden tomb of an ancient royal family that has long been ruined.

You have a lot of money. Why would you live in a tomb like this?’

As soon as I went inside, I felt a chill as if I were stabbing myself in the back in contrast to the outside. It was like a maze inside, perhaps with a tomb and shelter. The man remembered the path he heard from the client and went inside, inside. Unlike the hot outside due to a geothermal fever, this place was cold every step. The man went back into the stone chamber at the end of the maze, wearing a coat he had left off.

The boy, the client, was sitting cross-legged in the center chair as if he had waited. I didn't complain because I was a payer, but I felt sorry for him no matter how many times I saw him.

"It's a little late."

"I'm sorry."

The client, who had an X-shaped scar above his eyebrows, said casually to a man who would be twice as old as me.

'That's what aristocrats do.’

After this work, my family could live full without working for years. That's why all the other mercenaries took the initiative in taking charge of what they were reluctant to do.

"I saw the speaker enter the capital city of Mila."

"What's next?"

"There wasn't much movement. The capital city has been busy preparing for the festival. I asked a man who worked in the palace for money, but I heard nothing big happened."

"Yes, you did a great job. I've been working with my contacts."

"You're welcome."

The client beckoned the man as if to approach him. It wasn't a pleasant feeling, but the man approached, thinking of a fat reward. When I kneeled at the foot of the foot, I saw a grim smile around the client's mouth.

He put his hand on the man's head, handing him a thick bag of gold coins. At that moment the man felt a strange sense of incompatibility on the top of his head. There was a small squeak above my head and it stopped soon. It was unpleasant, but I didn't feel anything wrong.

"Then go ahead."

"Yes."

"Don't ever speak out, but hide somewhere with the money.”

"I don't think so."

The man bent over to his client, went the same way as he came, and came out of the stone chamber.

I'm so glad this is the last time. I don't want to run into you again.'

It was particularly important that the request was to monitor the capital of the Ranchea Empire. I didn't know the content, but all the correspondence I had transferred was reluctant.

Rather, I'm grateful you didn't tell me where you live.

The man spitted and hurried down the mountain. It was when I got out of the mountain and reached the flat. The man felt a sharp pain in his head for a moment.

'…He...!'

The man just fell on the floor. I clenched my teeth and tried not to lose consciousness.

'There's an old saying that there's a reason why people don't touch it...….’

The man screamed and clenched his fist.

'You can't die like this, like this.’

Instinctively, I thought I should not lose consciousness. The man took a little dagger out of his arms.

I don't want to die.

My vision has become blurred.

I can't lose consciousness. I... have to go back to my family.'

The man gathered his strength in his hands and thrust the dagger into his thigh.

"Argh!"

A man screamed loudly at the entrance of the deserted mountain.

"You're a tough guy.”

The client identified the situation as having him on the device. He endured it very tough, but he seemed to be dead when he saw the sound cut off.

The man's client, King Eton Lecio Dietas, smiled gloatingly and slowly rose from his seat. I opened the door connected to the cold stone chamber. It was time to tell my ugly daughter the reality.

After the last one, Guyana tried to do something strange. He tried to manipulate people without sneaking out of here or ordering them. It was all about approaching Yulia. Guyana pretended that Julia was on my side, not his father, Lesio. All of them were blocked without even trying properly.A daughter who doesn't listen to her father.’

So Lesio gave her a light punishment to correct her. The punishment was to remind her of how other brothers died, or to keep her up without sleeping or eating.

"I let you off the hook because you're my favorite daughter, but do you even know that stupid thing?’

As I went deep through a few stone chambers, there was Guyana, whose hands were tied to the wall with heavy handcuffs.

"My faithful servant seems to have arrived safely by his side."

"…Dad."

"Didn't you say, you have to make a wise decision?"

Lesio approached Guyana and slapped her on the cheek.

"Gaiana, I love you like this, and you have to be nice."

Gray eyes struggled to meet Lesio's eyes.

"…water, please."

Guyana said in a raspy voice. I scolded him a few times, and his rebellious eyes faded a lot. He became the face of his daughter, who listened to him kindly as before. Lesio smiled and asked Guyana.

"Will you listen to this father now?"

"…yes, I'm sorry, dad…….”

Guyana replied in a tired and struggling voice, squeezing. Lesio looked at Guyana observantly. Unlike a few months ago when he rebelled, there was a familiar resignation and fear in his eyes. If I had taught for months and didn't understand, I was going to discard it.

Lesio released the handcuffs and wet his hands to drop only a few drops of water. Guyana scurries to drink as if it were a water of life. Desperate appearance only satisfied Lesio. At first, he stood up his neck firmly, saying he would never beg for Lecio.

You've really changed your mind.’

A few drops of water dampened his throat and patted Guyana's head against the wall as if he was barely going to live.

"Listen to your father, and I will make you the most revered woman."

“…….”

"Answer, Guyana?"

It was a sweet but cruel voice that could change at any time. Guyana bowed her head slowly. I chewed my lips hard. I felt like tears were going to tears.

You think you're gonna believe that?’

I must have misrepresented that I am most criticized. Her father, Lesio, never stood by and watched anyone get noticed beyond that.

Lesio made her the greatest villain in her previous life, and shamelessly told lies as if they would be different in this life.

I have to put up with it now. You're testing me.’

Lecio rebelled madly when he found out that he had turned back time and revived himself. I tried to help Julia secretly, but I was caught everywhere. It was because Lesio was on guard. Guyana didn't want to fail any more. Julia is a strong person, so she would wait for time to unwind her boundaries.

She repressed her tears and answered him gently as if she were a submissive daughter. After a long spell of suffering from him, he was able to see his face in fear without acting.

"Yes, I'll do as my father says."

"Yes, that's a good daughter. Now I'll let you eat something delicious and have a good night'

There was a terrible touch on her head. Guyana pressed her heart again and again. The more he endured, the easier it would be for Julia to build up her strength. I'm sure she'll make a great leader.

On the last night of the year, parties were held all over the capital to wrap up the year. It used to be said that this day was a day without a superior. At the end of the year, aristocrats and commoners invited their comfortable counterparts to drink and enjoy themselves.Of course Julia, the top man, couldn't attend any of them. Instead, it was a pleasure to be able to take a full day off. On such a day, Julia talked to the servants and maidens to rest. But as long as she was emperor, she really couldn't get away from her. She said she was fine, but Flena and Felix shook their heads.

Thanks to this, Julia spent the end of her first year in this strange place with two people. Dinner was prepared by Flena and Felix together. Julia offered to help herself, but she was rejected.

'I'm pretty good at cooking.’

Of course, it's a different world, so I wasn't sure if I could use the recipe I knew. However, it seemed that there were similar ingredients when I thought of various dishes that I ate thanks to the emperor.

'For me, the end of the year was rolling around at home in a slanted T-shirt and knee sweatpants.’

There were times when I watched a special program at the end of the year and times when I watched a movie alone. Sometimes, I spent time with friends who were like-minded, but it was hard as everyone got busier.

As a result, after spending the end of the year busily, I often chose to roll around at home because I didn't want to lift a hand.

"It was nice to order chicken or jokbal and spend it drinking beer."

Julia digested this evening's dinner, which she ate a lot of cold air with me on the terrace thinking about the past. Felix and Plena prepared grilled dishes that were crispy and golden on the outside, if not chicken. It was delicious to dip meat that tasted similar to chicken in the sauce prepared by two people.

It was delicious. It made me crave beer. It's savory and salty.'

There were only three people, so they refused to do so, and they drank a low champagne together.

I ate comfortably after a long time.’

It was always hard to eat surrounded by others. Because I had to be a high-ranking person even during mealtimes. Julia applauded the other kings.

When I thought about this and that, Felix and Flena knocked on the terrace door. Food coma caused Julia to yawn and open the door. The two smiled at the sight of Julia.

'These two would love it if I just rolled around in bed.’

It was not that I liked Julia's appearance, but rather that she was happy to show this comfortable appearance in front of them. Of course, Yulia was so much more comfortable in front of the two.

At that moment, I was more like myself than Yuliara. These two never doubted themselves even if they acted like that. I was relieved to consider myself to be myself in any action.

"What's going on? There's no room for dessert."

"So are we, Your Majesty."

Flena smiled as if she was having fun and talked to Yulia. She especially liked Julia these days, saying she was softer than before. Julia was really surprised to hear it.

That means my personality is mixed up.’

Felix coughed and said next to Plena, who smiled quietly. No wonder he looked a little shy.

"The Duke of Marcus' gift has arrived, Your Majesty."

"Gift?"

Julia asked back with an unexpected face. Felix then tugged at the tip of Julia's dress and begged her to see it quickly."Look at it for yourself!"

"That's weird."

Felix's behavior was unusual.

'There's no way I'd love Eusto's gift so much.….’

When I recall his usual behavior, I thought it would be possible to sneak out on him.

"Of course not as long as it's mine."

Julia left the terrace in wonder and went inside. There was a box on the table that wasn't very big.

"Do you know what it is?"

"No way."

Flena shook her head with a smile. Felix, however, was quickly waiting to open with a flushed look on his face.

'That's amazing.’

Julia glanced at him once and untied the knot in the gift box. When unpacked, a chest was wrapped in velvet-like material. It seemed to contain jewels.

"What is this?"

When I opened the lid, there were strange jewelry that shone brightly.

"Oh my gosh."

The first person to react was Flena.

"For some reason, Felix seemed to like it, so that's why."

In fact, Julia looked at the jewel with a strange face. Of course it was a very beautiful gem. Bright light was hard to describe as just a color. Even though it was a gem, it was as if it were alive.

'It's so beautiful...….’

Julia smiled curiously and looked around at the jewel.

But why did Felix say he liked it?’

I was curious about that part. Julia wondered how to say it. There has never been a gem like this in the novel. To be exact, there was no time to come out. In the novel, Julia was always busy with war.

Her jewels, even as a royal princess, were somehow roughly described. It was because Yulia itself was originally not interested in this kind of course. What she was interested in was how to make the armor stronger and make a sharper sword.

'Well, later the tools were meaningless.’

Fortunately, before Julia asked, Flena opened her mouth first.

"Your Majesty, this is Gemilla."

"Jemilla?"

"Yes, it's a gem that can only be dug under special conditions and requires a lot of horsepower to be processed.”

Only then did Julia understand Flena's words.

It was a gift from Eusto, but the processing seemed to be done by Felix.

"The Duke himself got it and Felix processed it."

Julia was surprised again by the words. I thought Eusto would have saved it, but I didn't think he'd "picked it himself".

"The Duke of Marcus has a Gemilla mine, but I heard it's very difficult to get there.”

Julia nodded silently as if she had heard it.

"Moreover, it's not used as a regular tool for digging, so you need a sharp sword, and you need to push the wind in the neighborhood.”

Thanks to Flena's kind explanation, I understood perfectly. In other words, it is difficult to go without eusto, but it is impossible to dig.

Julia smiled delightedly at Felix first. He must have endured collaboration with Eusto at the thought of giving it to him, so he should thank him a lot.

"So pretty, Felix, thank you."

Of course, it's a gift from Eusto.

"No, I'm so happy that you're happy.”

Felix twisted slightly as if embarrassed.

"You've made this wonderful even at the request of Eusto."

"I would do anything for you!"

Felix spoke strongly, blushing with joy. The slightly bluish gem seemed to go well with the dress for tomorrow's ball. The dress she prepared was an elegant blue dress with a high chroma. When I imagined the vivid blue color and this brilliant light combined, I felt incredibly colorful and beautiful. That's why you asked Eusto the color of his dress for the ball.

When asked out of the blue after a fight, I wondered if she would match the color of the moon cuffs with the tailcoat. I matched the color of Julia's dress at the ball at Count Envida.

"By the way, I'm sorry for the maidens."

"What?"

Flena asked with a face that she had no idea.

"You've been picking and picking three days of candidates and picking jewelry sets that go well with your dress.”

"Come on, no one will be disappointed. It's nothing else, it's Gemilla Jewelry.”

Flena shook her hands and talked.

"There, Felix is loved by us, so he'll be fine.”

"Really?"

"Yes, it's cute, except for the fact that you were hiding it.”

Felix spoke to her in protest at Flena's words.

"That's unfair to me, too. It was only yesterday that Duke Marcus came to me!"

'That's right, because you asked me about the color of the dress.’

Julia looked at the jewel once again. And I talked to Felix as if to placate him.

"It's amazing that you've done such a wonderful job in a day, Felix."

"I'm glad you like it…….”

He quickly became embarrassed again by her compliment. Felix's jewelry was processed together, so I thought I would feel like I was escorted by the two tomorrow.

'I wish nothing happened tomorrow...….’

Julia looked at the brilliantly shining jewel and wished so sincerely.

Early in the morning, the New Year's address was given, and various ceremonies were held as emperors. When I saw half the strangers, I felt that many people came from all over the continent.

The sun quickly set because I was busy moving according to the schedule checked by the maids. I was wondering if I could take a breather in the bedroom, but I was taken to the bathroom.

"Even if you take a break, take a shower in the bathroom!"

Plena rushed Julia with a face that she couldn't afford a moment today. Still, the bath was more meticulous and relaxed than usual.

Julia's dress today was partially revealing her shoulders and back. They were faithful maids who did not show any dissatisfaction no matter what she usually wore.

"It was a face that I liked to wear."

That's why rarely, if I had a chance to dress properly like this, I was perfect. The robes I wore at the morning ceremony were also no joke.

The seals of various titles held by the emperor were heavy. In addition, the fabric was much tighter than usual, so it kept the body on edge throughout the wear. Because I thought my clothes would be messy.

When the bath was over, the maidens led her straight to the dressing table. Julia was tired and dazed for a while, many touches crossed her face.

For her, who had only minimal makeup to work in her past life, a skill that was difficult to imitate was unfolded on her face.

Julia first realized that the way to shape eyelashes or express skin was so colorful. I've never looked up beauty programs properly because I've been so into work in my past life.

I don't know if it's necessary for work.

After finishing Yulia's makeup, the ladies exchanged eyes like comrades running on the battlefield together as if they were satisfied. The touch on her hair, which began soon after, was amazing. Julia first realized how many arms she needed to make a simple-looking updo.

'When I go to formal places, I don't usually put my hair up, but I got enough hair done at the salon...….’I looked through the mirror carefully at the gesture, but I couldn't get the hang of it.

'I could see you using a sword and fighting.’

Perhaps the technology of Yulia's body was too much. Julia gave up lightly and waited for their hands to stop. It wasn't long before my neat hair was done.

I put on the dress I had prepared and took off the cloth around the bottom before I went out. What she wore today was a beautiful blue mermaid dress.

Lady-in-law recommended that the simple dress stand out more than the colorful dress because Julia has such a beautiful face. It was beautiful with transparent white skin and high blue chroma.

He was fit enough to be said to be perfect because of his solid training and tall height. On top of that, when Eusto and Felix wore the jewelry they prepared together, it looked better than expected. The maidens exclaimed with a proud expression.

"You've always been beautiful, but you're so beautiful today.”

"I think I'm going to fall in love with everything."

"At this rate, I'm afraid your Highness will surrender voluntarily, even if you don't use the sword."

The maidens were happy with their results and praised Julia.

"It's all thanks to you.

"Thanks to your beauty."

Flena spoke as if to stop the other excited maidens.

"Duchess Marcus is already here, Your Majesty."

"Did you keep him waiting?"

"You may do so, Your Majesty. You remember what I told you, don't you?"

"Uh, yeah, sure."

Flena sighed rarely at Julia's uncertain answer. The dress was not to the point where it was uncomfortable to move considering Julia's personality. Flena told me how to remove the cloth when it was urgent, as it was a little bit backward. She once again taught Yulia to be careful.

I think it's something Julia says because she's been destroying dresses a lot of times.’

In fact, the day Julia wore a dress in the novel was almost a day of tearing and eating. Eight out of ten dresses used to be rags, even though I didn't wear them very often. Although he did not wear it many times because he was the emperor, there was a description of Plena and her daughters-in-law who were sad.

It's our pleasure to organize and collect the dresses you're wearing.

Every time Julia felt sorry for them. But I never promised never to do that again. Because even she knew it was a promise she couldn't keep.

So now it seems to teach her how to break it to the lowest possible level. Although bitter, I could feel the tender heart of the maidens that they did not want to restrict Julia's behavior itself.

Flena checked her figure one last time, then opened the bedroom door. When I opened the door, I saw Eusto there.

'Wow, he's so handsome...….’

Julia once again admired his face. He wasn't usually not handsome, but he was more special today. I could feel that he cared more than the tailcoat at Count Envida. As expected, today's cuff buttons were the same Gemilla jewelry as a gift to her.

Julia thought she should give Felix more credit. I'm sure you've prepared it with the mindset that you should stand side by side with Yulia.

"Yusto, thank you for the gift."

Julia spoke lightly to him with some apology for keeping him waiting. But he stood for a long time as if he could not take his eyes off her figure.

For a moment Julia thought someone had pressed the pause button on him. Only after a few seconds did he barely exhale and tell her."…I have to tell you to prepare medicine in advance so that the hearts of the people in the ballroom don't stop."

Because Eusto talked with a serious look on his face, he wondered if he meant it or not.

Why are you joking with such a serious face?’

Julia replied with a smile as if she was exhausted.

"It would be worse for your heart to prepare the medicine in advance than for Jim to just step up."

It must have been scary for the emperor to ask for medicine to decorate.

"Yulia's face is amazing.’

He was surprised to see his face for the first time since he possessed himself. I wondered if this was the real face of a living creature. Thanks to this, I realized that what I thought was too exaggerated in the novel was not as real as it was.

Yusto looked at Julia smiling like that.

I didn't mean it as a joke.

It was bad for my heart to see it again. But I've been wanting to see it. Just like I was reaching for Dadidan snacks when I was young.

He handed his arm carefully to Yulia. Her hand lightly rested on Eusto's arm. He felt his heart beat again by the touch. I felt happy when I looked at Yulia carefully.

At that moment, Julia suddenly looked back at him and met his eyes.

“……!”

I held my breath without realizing it, feeling like my heart was sinking.

"…why are you so surprised?"

She questioned the excessive response.

"It's nothing.

"Is that so?"

Julia did not ask a deep question. She talked, calming down a light laugh.

"If you notice something strange or something like that, please let me know immediately."

She hadn't forgotten the purpose of today's ball.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Eusto answered the words with a clear head. I couldn't help but be carried away at the ball today.

About three months after the Duke of Pez, fortunately there was no one in the palace who could pose a threat to Julia.

But today was different. Today, more than half of the ball was filled with non-Ranchean people.

'I am the one responsible for your safety. Don't forget that.’

I couldn't miss an important duty with a personal feeling. Eusto clenched his fist as if he were determined by the hand he hadn't given her.

But her next horse flew in like a surprise.

"I forgot to tell you."

"What?"

"Today, Eusto is very cool, too. I'm so proud to be around."

Julia grinned. It was a heartfelt compliment. A storm seemed to be raging in my heart, which had been pounding and fluttering.

"…thank you."

Eusto thanked her with a sense of learning again after forgetting how to breathe.

Despite being so obvious, Julia turned her head as if she had never noticed it. Eusto raised his head in that attitude.

"This is not the time, this is the time to be loyal to the king."

I had to repeat myself over and over again to suppress the hearts of the coalition.

"His Majesty Jullia Domina Berius, the master of the Empire of Ranchea."

The ballroom, which was filled with conversation sounds at the loud alarm of the servant, became quiet. The heavy door for the emperor slowly opened. The nobles looked at the door swallowing. Some people saw Julia's face on the battlefield, but many people saw her face for the first time.

Let's see if it's true.

It was such a great rumor that many people thought about it. Many surrendered under Julia simply to save their lives and avoid war. There was the sound of shoes and dress strokes on the smooth marble floor. Through the door, it was time to see Julia in the colorful chandelier lights. The nobles all gulped as if to signal.

‘…….’

In order to meet the emperor for the first time in his head, he repeated his perfect greetings over and over again. Is that all? Each of them had a ball in their own area over and over again.

Some people were proud to be immune to simple beauty, seeing many people who were said to be quite beautiful. But as soon as Julia came into view, all her thoughts went blank.

"Is that really who I am?"

They were under the illusion that the race itself was completely different. Each country has a different name, but it reminds me of a mysterious race famous for its beauty in old legends.

Is it because of the jewelry and the dress? No, it's not. That's... ...'

Rather, I thought jewelry and dresses stood out thanks to her. It was not only beautiful. They wouldn't have lost consciousness like that if they were just beautiful.

The emperor had a unique aura. She was a perfect jewel in herself. Her overpowering charisma, which she honed over and over again, perfected her.

Some of the aristocrats forgot their dignity and even opened their mouths, looking at her face frantically. I knew I shouldn't look at it like that. But it was addictive like a dangerous drug.

Julia initially waited silently for the eyes of such nobles.

Isn't that too long?

But they haven't had a proper accident back longer than she thought. When I glanced at Eusto, he looked as if he had said.

Of course there was no such thing as flattery. Rather, they seemed to want to hide Julia in their eyes.

"Should I bring cold water or something?"

Julia muttered in agony. It was an unexpected reaction. It was a much longer time than Eusto couldn't speak. At that rate, I felt like someone was really going to faint. Hearing her murmur, Eusto spoke softly.

"Maybe next time I'll ask Plena to work a little less on your grooming."

"You can't steal their pleasure."

They must consider Julia's grooming half the way to welfare.

"Your majesty's power is so strong that it cannot be helped."

However, the tone of saying so was filled with regret. Julia saw the signs and decided not to say anything.

wait a little longer Eusto gave a hint to the servant who was following him. Rather, King Sijong, who was stunned by the aristocrats' attitude, finally came to his senses and opened his mouth.

"Praise your Highness!"

At that time, the nobles were awakened to their rudeness. They bent over, experiencing goose bumps all over their bodies.

"I see His Majesty, the Lord of the Empire."

Some people planned to engage in a war of nerves by simply bowing in silence. But all of a sudden shock left the aristocrats with a stiff back.

"What a fiasco!"

I didn't think I'd lose my mind just by appearing.’

Those who didn't go to the battlefield clearly felt the rumour of courtesy. Along with him, I thought that the aristocrat who had been punished by the Count of Envida was possessed by that face and confessed. They thought that if they told them to tell the truth with that face, they would surely tell them all their sins. Beauty combined with polished pressure seemed to have to be the case. But those who went to the battlefield felt chills in a different sense.

I'm so glad the Emperor didn't dress up in the battlefield.’

If she had come out looking like that, she might have all been able to kneel without a sword. To be honest, they've seen her once, so they're confident it'll be okay.

In particular, those who had faced swords on the battlefield dampened the disturbing feelings that had been a little in them. I should not turn her against the enemy if I can, so I have a deep-seated impression. Because I was convinced it would be good for their survival.

"Everyone, raise your heads."

After a while, which seemed unlikely to end, the emperor's voice was heard and he breathed out barely relief. Some of them even choked because he couldn't do it properly. Many people's eyes were directed at the sound of coughing in the quiet hall. The attention-grabbing blushed, but no one could think of him as clumsy.

On the contrary, most of them thanked Julia inside because they heard a small smile.

Fortunately, the nobles were not in a state of stupor throughout the ball. The farther away from Julia, the faster she came to her senses. There were some who gave a stingy look.

'Especially four or five...….’

Ranchea was tied up in one country, but it was too much to want a sense of belonging in just two years. Those who gathered gathered gathered by region to be honest and engaged in a war of nerves among themselves.

"Is it bothering you?"

Eusto carefully asked Julia's face, which became stiff after seeing the ballroom.

"Otherwise, I'd be lying."

Julia talked with her small eyes down.

'It's not just a matter of being together...….’

Julia smiled humbly at Eusto. Apparently, she was in better shape than when she first entered. It's just a safe distance or something.

I'm not some kind of a disease.

Among the purposes of today's ball was to identify the movements of aristocrats from other countries. The problem was that those who were fine when they fell faltered whenever she approached them. So did the Earl of another area I just met.

"Long time no see, Earl."

"Yes, hmm, hmm, yes. Hmm."

In the midst of a brief conversation with Julia, the count looked elsewhere. It was rude, but at some point I couldn't express my displeasure at such a reaction.

Because most of the people facing her were like that. I was restless, coughing, and couldn't even look at it. It was fortunate that he answered even though he stuttered like that. It took a long time to give a short answer, so there were some who couldn't talk. He even stepped back when he was within a certain distance.

I thought I was overreacting because I was the emperor.

It was the first time we met. Plus they would do the same, just as Julia was going to look at. So I thought I might exaggerate a little. But it didn't seem like it.

I thought Eusto's reaction was too much.’

On the contrary, he was a normal person, perhaps because he saw Julia often.

Do I really need to talk to Plena?

It occurred to me that it was not a mouthful.

"However, how could everyone be like this when I get close to them even though it's been a while since I entered?"….’

Thanks to this, Julia kept a safe distance with Eusto and was alone in the middle.

'But now that we're here, we're all sane, so we know the atmosphere.’

It was hard to approach and ask, but there were things that I could do remotely. She looked at Eusto with a sweet smile. The problem was that Julia's face today was scary to call a beauty lineage."Your Majesty, Your Majesty..."?”

Eusto was embarrassed because of her usual confident smile. But Julia ordered, ignoring his embarrassment.

"Eusto, smile tenderly at Jim."

It was an unexpected order. Eusto looked at her reflexively and affectionately.

'No, I feel like I've loosened my repression...…?’

Maybe it's because of the sudden order, or that's the look on his face. He smiled at Julia with a friendly face. Julia realized she hadn't explained it to him and added late.

"I wanted to show you that our relationship wasn't bad."

Eusto's mouth was softened by the words.

"I can follow whatever you do."

"Is that so?"

It was a voice telling her not to care about Yulia. Suddenly, I remembered what I said in Count Envida.

'Your Majesty, only command. I'll do anything.’

At that time, unlike now, I looked determined. Eusto was not an empty talker. The eyes then and the attitude now made me feel secure. I felt him supporting me firmly.

Julia relaxed from her nervous shoulders because she had a lot to care about because it was a ball.

'Even an order like this has a very good face...….’

Since Julia allowed it, it seemed that she would not hide her feelings. No, I followed orders, so I might not think you'd notice.

'There's really nothing twisted in his mind.’

I felt sorry for him, but I thought he was great. It was Eusto, who always had a stiff face. Thanks to you, the effect quickly came out.

"The rumor must have been true."

"The story is that the relationship between Duke Marcus and His Majesty has been restored."

A strange disappointment leaked out of the words.

It's good to have good ears.’

I could hear just concentrating my senses without getting close.

"I guess it was temporary, too."

"Huh……"

On the contrary, there were those who breathed a sigh of relief. In particular, this was the case with a country that walked a tightrope between other countries before reunification. They were rather united and sighed.

"Like the old kingdom of Ranchea."

So in the novel, Julia decided to unify. To protect the country and its people. The power between Yulia's eyebrows was put into her head because she was lost in thought by the conversation she heard.

"Your Majesty."

"Huh?"

"Don't make that face tonight."

It was a soothing mixture of anxiety.

"You have to show good performance with Eusto.’

Julia smiled at him and opened her mouth lightly.

"Will you dance?"

“…….”

Eusto sighed a small sigh at Julia's words.

What, you don't like it?

I might have been too proud. But I said it because I felt sorry. Because I thought I was using him to my liking. But that was a needless worry.

Eusto stepped back and bent over. He politely asked for the dance in a straightforward manner than any other art textbook.

"Will you please dance with me, Your Majesty?"

Unlike Julia, who spoke lightly and whispered, it was a powerful voice. I felt a lot of attention being drawn. Julia smiled beautifully and put her hand on his arm. The two began to dance skillfully to the newly started dance.

Yulia's appearance was so good that it was covered, but Eusto was also an outstanding owner. Those who looked at the trend also inadvertently watched the dance of the two, forgetting their purpose.

"Truly different from the battlefield. Hahaha."

"You're right. Who would think they'd be so overwhelming on the battlefield?""It's already overwhelming."

Those who were next to someone laughed quietly as if they sympathized with them.

"Whether it's good to be outstanding or not...….”

"Yes, I'm already afraid."

Someone opened their mouth with concern. It was the voice of a man who knew that the empire was maintained by the presence of the two. It was an ostensibly splendid New Year's ball. But it could also be a pavilion of thought.

Some feared it, some turned a blind eye and some secretly hoped for cracks. Julia listened to the sound in her ears and examined who was the owner of the voice.

"Are you worried?"

"If you say no, it's a lie."

"Your Majesty is the same as ever."

"Huh?"

"Once, I danced like this."

Julia nodded quietly at the words. Fortunately, I remembered reading that part.

It was a ball to announce the enthronement of the new emperor. Eusto asked Yulia to dance with a steeper face than usual.

Before Julia became the winner of the battle for the throne, he first seized the Duke. Now he stood at the center of the nobility. At that moment, however, Eusto revealed the boy's face.

When I read it, I felt a fresh feeling that was conveyed beyond the novel.

'At that time, Yulia was relieved.’

She was usually emotional, but she reacted sensitively to Eusto. We've seen each other for a long time, and she's also her first servant.

"I clearly remember what you looked like then."

Even if it's a novel. Yusto's mouth moved shyly in Julia's answer.

"He looked embarrassed."

"No, because you asked for the dance with nervousness, and Jim rather relaxed."

Eusto frowned slightly and smiled and curled. He looked worried about whether to be happy or not. Thanks to this, I remembered and sympathized with how Julia felt in the novel.

After Eusto ascended the peacock, he became cold and blunt to bear the weight. That figure often made Julia feel strange to him. But at that moment I saw the shy face of Eusto's young face, who swore allegiance to me.

It was one of the few scenes where freshness was felt in the novel.

"Even then, Your Majesty danced with me and looked at other aristocratic trends."

Do you remember,' he added quietly. Julia just nodded her head.

It's not the sense of the hand that I remember, it's the novel.

I thought it couldn't be helped because it was rented, but my heart ached.

"You've done a good job then, and you'll be fine again."

"…thank you."

Ulya realizes it's Eusto's own encouragement. Looking at the actual trend, it was more favorable than expected.

Of course, it's not just a comfortable look.

Showing improved relations with Eusto was just a stopgap measure. Some saw it with anxious or fearful eyes.

There were many of those who talked to the two royals, Jenna and Brick, whom Julia had given her.

"Are you sure you're all right, Your Highness?"

Count Weddin, the nobles from the Kingdom of Weddin, ruled by Brick, asked Brick. They looked at the face of the Jeonju army after a long time and were worried.

Brick put a similar word back into his mouth with a soft face.

"Already I am not Your Highness, Earl."

"Even so...…!”

"If you stick to small things, you lose big things."

"…however."

"Already descended from the throne, what I wish for is the happiness of the people, as I said before."They nodded, pressing down on discontent, at his earnest words. Brick spoke softly not only to them, but to the nobles of other countries he interacted with.

There were quite a few countries around Weddin who surrendered on his persuasion. Julia looked at him quietly like that.

'They must be complicated.’

The monarch, who was serving, had only barely maintained his status as a nobleman. They would be higher if they had real authority.

"On the contrary, respecting him nonetheless means that the royal authority was as good as it used to be."

I was worried about that soon.

"Send some sympathy to Brick."

I was originally a person with poor physical strength, so I could see his complexion deteriorating. The servant sent a courtesy waiting at her instruction immediately. Tae-ui went, gave him a pulse, gave him some medicine, and recommended him to rest, but Brick shook his head quietly.

"It's my duty to keep this position."

Brick sent a smile of gratitude to Yulia with him.

'How can I doubt him when he's acting like that?’

What a soft, gentle man he was. Whenever he spoke, it was evident that the faces of those who had been upset were loosened.

Of course, Brick wasn't the only one who rekindled the ballroom atmosphere. There were people in the ballroom who were as frightened as the disturbing gaze. They feared the war would start again.

"You may be so strong now, but you never know what the future will be like!"

"Yes, if His Majesty wields tyranny again...….”

"Shh, shh, what if I hear it!"

Of course, it all sounded distinct in Julia's ears. Julia didn't mean to get angry about that right away. I knew better than anyone what I'd done for two years. Jenna used to approach those people.

"So the Lanchea Empire needs your help."

They bowed in unison to her soft, clear voice.

"Oh, Holy Mother!"

It was a very polite attitude. Jenna showed them a perfect smile. But there was a sense of incompatibility in the smile.

'…Your eyes aren't smiling.’

The nobles in front of me didn't notice, but my eyes were cold.

"Well, they're all stupid.”

While stopping dancing and resting for a while, Felix, who came to wait, opened his mouth.

"Huh?"

"You know, Earl Irene doesn't like being called the Holy Mother."

"Oh, right."

Only then did Julia realize the cause of her discomfort.

'Well, I didn't get the nickname 'Saint Lady' for liking it.’

She was raised as a saint because of the needs of Grand Duke Irene. The Grand Duke thought Jenna's natural appearance and beautiful voice would be available. It was actually very useful. Until the moment the Principality surrenders.

And now.

Yulia is grateful but wondering if she should stop it.

"Compliment me when the count comes later, later, the Earl comes."

It is rare for Felix to remember others. Julia nodded as if she had come to her senses at the words.

"Yes, Jenna herself decided to use the title "Saint Lady" in the novel.’

Then it would have been rather rude of her to stop her. Jenna and Brick helped soften the atmosphere of the ballroom.

I'm more worried about the other side.’

There was a place where Julia set the tone, and where she remained cool despite Brick and Jenna's persuasion. It was the area where the title was omitted due to the Duke of Fez's awesome backlog.

These areas had something in common. The first was that the royal authority was strong and that it was an area that was conquered by defeat, not surrender. The second point was that resisting to the end was not to protect the country, but to protect power."Julia went to war of conquest because there were so many leaders who were a mess.’

It wasn't just a war of conquest. Of course, there was also an attempt to protect Ranchea with half-strength. However, the biggest reason was that many people were exploited by nobles and royalty.

Eton, for example.

King Eaton said he would not surrender even if the last people died. When his life was threatened, he fled and went into hiding. So, of course, the Eton kingdom was ordered to recover its title.

'The problem is manager Lee... No, Duke Pez, that incompetent man turned a blind eye to everything and left it out.’

I don't know how many bribes I took. Julia kicked her tongue and sighed.

"If you ask me to release it now, the backlash will be no joke."

Julia frowned with one worry or another.

"Don't worry too much, Your Majesty."

While Julia was resting, Eusto, who returned from talking to another aristocrat, spoke.

"Eusto."

"These are the men whom His Majesty once ordered to recover. I'm sure he'll reveal his intentions."

Julia felt complicated by his words. Songha, who may have lived as an ordinary citizen, although it may have been Yulia before.

"Your Majesty?"

"I wondered if I should let go of my hand like that."

"…Your Majesty."

"I know. Realistically, the fact that waiting will be less damaging."

But thinking of ordinary people who would suffer in the process, it didn't feel bad. So even if he hated it, he wanted to be nice to the people of Yeongji.

But those guys are just more subtle.

I was just trying to find evidence. However, although details of Duke Pez's order to retain the title remained, details of Julia's order to recover were lost.

Things got more complicated because there were unnecessary approval documents left.’

Julia spoke ill of Duke Pez, who had already been absent. Of course I didn't mean to let it go. I was going to persistently track them down and grab them by the back.

"If you want, you'll find a way."

Eusto spoke similar words gently.

"You've always been like that."

It was a word of deep trust. Just as the distrust she faced when she opened her eyes in this world has completely disappeared.

It's a good thing, but you believed me.’

It has been Yulia of the past two years, not himself, that Eusto suspected. It was none other than himself who changed his mind. But he also did not deny that there was a great premise of the figure of Julia. I didn't mean to be depressed, but it was also true that my mind was complicated in many ways.

But what can I do? Now that it's over, you have to look like Yulia to the end.’

The response to Yulia's overly beautiful appearance seemed to have subsided. She moved her feet with Eusto. Greeting another aristocrat, he read the insinuations hidden in the words.

There were those who secretly checked, and those who welcomed Julia with all their heart. The cleaner the loser on the battlefield, the more people accepted.

Not everyone was like that, of course.

"Now that the war is over, shouldn't you be thinking about getting married?"

"I know, it's really tough. When I think of my country in the past. The king should have had his first heir by now.”

"Well, that's all. You don't have to go out there to produce a great successor."

"Of course, of course."

It was time to catch my breath and go out to the terrace with Eusto. There was a word stuck in the ear of two people."Are you crazy?"

Julia looked at them with pity from the bottom of her heart.

But can I take it as a sign that my image has improved?’

In front of Yulia, who committed tyranny a few months ago, he couldn't even spit it out. Because it didn't look so big.

"They're the ones who gave in because they're afraid to fight.’

Julia just raised the corners of her mouth slightly.

The continent was quite large, and customs were different from country to region. In the novel, the Kingdom of Ranchea, ruled by Julia, did not distinguish gender when choosing a successor. Not even the eldest or the last, but only the ability to decide.

Thanks to this, succession continued modestly, but succession battles were often fought. Therefore, Yulia, one of the yellow girls, and Yusto, the bastard, were able to take the title.

On the contrary, there were some places where titles were only given to women and only to men. Such places were particularly hard on either gender.

"You are a great man, but you are the only one in the Imperial family who can sleep peacefully."

"I'm telling you, we knelt down in the Empire to make sure the war was over."

Far away, they burst into laughter, thinking they would never be able to. Originally, they were living with little sense of crisis, so they did not even feel the firm gaze of Eusto and Julia.

"Wouldn't anyone be tempted by that beautiful look!"

"Should I come forward and sacrifice my youngest son?”

"Haha, the youngest in your house looks great. You know, if you get a favorite...….”

At that, Julia shrugged her shoulders in bewilderment.

'You're dreaming.’

But unlike the calm Julia, Eusto's expression was grimly wrinkled.

"Your Majesty, if you'll let me...….”

Eusto spoke with the air of blackness at once.

"No, you're not supposed to be a duke. What a load of rubbish."

"But Your Majesty!"

Of course, Yulia wanted to shut up everything. They were the people who ruled an area. It was ugly how such people were trapped in a small world and babbled without knowing what was scary. But the seat was not good. When Eusto stepped up to the plate, the purpose of this ball was broken.

The problem was that even if Eusto could be stopped immediately, he could not be stopped by others. The faces of the Ranchean nobles have become ugly, perhaps because they have seen them talking vulgarly. In addition, nobles from other countries seemed to have noticed them talking. They approached the talkers and encouraged them to talk.

'Wow, I'm in trouble.’

At this rate, there would have been an argument between a native of Lanchea and a noble from another country.

I can't help it.’

I thought it would be better to give attention to the nobles before they came forward. But there was a voice that flew faster than that.

"You seem to be talking about something very noble in a place like this."

"Way, Earl of Weddin...….”

Brick opened his mouth to them with a look of disgust.

"Is there a culture in your country that says that to the monarch?"

"…it is."

"Then what an elegant culture it is."

It was always a soft-spoken brick, so it felt more painful to be sarcastic. Until just now, I could see the faces of those who had forgotten that it was an imperial ball and talked about it.

"I think I need my strength."

"Stand, Holy Mother."

Jenna opened her mouth as if to help Brick.

"It's my duty as a saint to clean up the dirty things."The aristocrats and those who encouraged them were coughing in vain at the words that seemed to drive a wedge. Looking around at the pouring gaze, they were surprised to see Julia. Then, he was at a loss as if he was looking for a mouse hole.

"Well, we have defiled your ears. Lord, the sin of death...…!”

Julia looked at them coldly. And he jerked around as if it was not worth dealing with. The attitude made them more nervous and tremble.

"How would you like to dispose of it?"

Eusto asked by her side.

"You may be guilty of blasphemy of the Imperial family."

It's the new year and it's not going to be good in a place for harmony.

"And there must be some people who are complaining about the difference between a tyrant and a tyrant."

Those who looked down on it did so no matter what. Julia leaned on the terrace and replied, "One corner of my mouth is slanted."

"How can such a trivial thing be punishment that leaves evidence?"

"…what?"

But I really didn't mean to let it slide.

"Of course, if it was Yulia two years ago, she might have generously given up for the cause."

He wasn't that broad-minded. I became Julia, but I didn't mean to blow my heart out as a servant.

She looked at Eusto once, then turned to Felix. He glued to the terrace window and looked at them with a hideous look on his face.

"…I see."

"There's always the right person for everything."

Felix smiled at her and asked, confirming whether she had heard it.

"You know I always move for you, don't you?"

"Huh?"

Julia smiled deliberately as if she didn't know anything.

"Felix doesn't know what's hard, so he'll move only for you.”

He approached her with a cuter smile than usual. Julia smiled brightly at him.

Felix is the best at this kind of thing.

I'm sure I'll try not to come up with such an idea again. The important thing was not to be punished, but to change the fundamental idea.

That's why Julia left Felix alone.

Suddenly I understood Julia's behavior in the novel. She always seemed fair when she read, but she felt that her softness only to Felix was not suitable characteristically. Because I knew what he was doing behind his back, but I pretended not to know.

'She was a human being, too.’

It was not easy to walk in the right direction even if you moved for a cause. I've heard so many rude things as I do now.

Yulia had the power and the power to punish it, but sometimes she had to endure it. Every time Felix stepped up, and Julia didn't hold it back.

'It's only hard when you're actually beaten, and then there's no aftereffects or evidence left.'’

So Felix was a great wizard. And that was also why Julia could overlook it. Julia replied with the same smile as Felix.

"I know you're acting like that, Felix."

"I'm so happy about that.”

At the same time, Felix's fingertips seemed to have something similar to a small string and a note. Julia decided to turn a blind eye to the beautiful colour. He was just confused with the starlight that embroidered the night sky.

Eusto murmured for a moment as he watched Felix.

"…should I learn more magic?"

There was a heavy resentment in the quiet voice. Julia said leaning against the terrace railing.

"Everyone has different things to do, Eusto.""…okay."

Yusto immediately folded the lingering regret with the word. The answer was not to do it unless Julia wanted it. The three relaxed for a while on the terrace.

Fortunately, nothing big happened at the ball that followed. Of course, there was a war of nerves between countries that were originally at odds, and about the aristocrats from Lanchea. But all that sort of thing was simply solved by Julia's one look.

"It's only on the outside."

It was better than I thought, but it was also more burdensome than expected. I could feel for sure when I saw you face to face in the ball.

Even so, I feel like I'm passing by too quietly.

Now that we have gathered all those who are likely to be problems, I thought it would be normal for an accident to happen even in a small way. So I was very prepared before the ball. Felix created a magic chain and a perimeter, and Eusto did a more dense deployment of the Guard than usual. Instead of merely sharing a few words with Julia at the ball, Cyril continued to adjust so that noblemen would encounter it.

It would be nice if you could feel comfortable about it.’

The dance is slowly getting closer to its wavelength. It was time to call it dawn, so there were quite a few aristocrats who left the ballroom.

"I'm not feeling well, so I'll go in here, Your Majesty."

"Well done, Count Weddin."

"I just did what I had to do."

As if he had suffered to the limit, he left the company with a pale complexion.

Shortly after, Jenna yawned softly and said to Yulia.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Your Majesty."

"Yes."

She clasped Julia's hand once and happily left the ballroom.

"I'm glad that Count Weddin and Count Irene are good men."

Marquis Ardea, who was talking to her, spoke with relief.

"I know, but the Marquis."

"What?"

"Why are you actually there?"

Julia frowned at Marquis Ardea and the other nobles about five steps away. As she approached, he waved his hands and blocked about three steps away.

"If you have something to say, say it at that."

"…is the luggage so serious?"

"What do you mean serious, of course, if you're asking if you're too beautiful, the answer is yes.

“…….”

When Julia looked dumbfounded by the words, the nobles spoke as if to protest.

"Please look in the mirror!"

"I've already seen it, Jim is a face I see every day.”

"That's because you see it every day!"

"What?"

They talked to Yulia for a reason.

"Shouldn't we see you every day and oppose you?"

"So what?"

"If you remember what you are now, you won't be able to do anything!"

Julia smirked at the words. Most of them have seen Julia since childhood, but they have.

"It's only because the ball is over that we can talk like crazy."

Julia slowly opened her mouth, thinking she had to go out. At that moment, however, the servant sounded urgent and announced in an urgent voice.

"Your Majesty, I'm in trouble!"

"What's going on?"

Julia asked, responding reflexively.

"There's a fire in the western palace!"

Julia doubted my ears for a moment.

"Fire...…? There's a fire?"

The words stirred up the remaining nobles in the ballroom.

"Fire? What happened to the palace guard...….”

"I'm unlucky, I's ominous."

They chatted wildly across the river. Julia ignored their voices and moved her feet directly westward toward the palace. As I stepped outside, I could see the flames rising."Western Palace of all things.’

As soon as Julia thought of it, a voice of protest was inserted.

"Your Majesty, how could this happen?"

"My Highness!"

The western palace was home to Jenna, Count of Irene, and Brick, Count of Wedin.

I feel uncomfortable.

Most of the aristocrats who attended the ball were allowed to use the southern palace. On the night of the ball, it was doubtful to make it look like it targeted them.

"If anything goes wrong with you...…!”

"Don't tell me you're trying to kill our king!"

Even a harsh sound popped out of their mouths, perhaps out of reason. Instead of responding to their protests, Julia ordered the suppression one after the other.

"Eusto, mobilize the guards to put out the fire, Felix, please."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Cyril, evacuate and investigate the cause.

"Yes."

As they answered, the three looked anxiously at Julia. Julia shook her head as if she was fine, and she hurried to the western palace.

And that's where the ball's wavelengths are.

It looked as if it was trying to create a large number of witnesses.

And one more thing.

In the deepest part of the western palace was the data. It was also evidence of many of Duke Pez's actions.

If you worked or worked in a palace, it wouldn't have been hard to find out.’

Julia roughly guessed the cause of the fire. While thinking like that, I wish it was a simple accident.

Otherwise, it means someone is working towards the empire. It broke through the security network.

It was quite a serious problem.

When Julia arrived at the Western Palace, the Guard and Felix had already started putting out the fire. Felix moved the atmosphere and sprayed rain, but strangely, the flames were not caught.

The guards also worked diligently as instructed by Eusto to prevent secondary damage and extinguish the fire. But Brick and Jenna's whereabouts had yet to be determined.

"Your Highness, Your Highness!"

"Saint Mary!"

They forgot that they were in front of the emperor and called their original masters. Then, Felix reported to Yulia once using a tracking spell.

"Your Majesty, both of them are in the palace.

"What?"

"It's not that I couldn't come out. I don't know why, but I think I went back in."

Julia looked at Felix in surprise at the words.

"You went back into the palace where the fire broke out?’

I couldn't even guess why.

"I've got breathing, but I'm stuck in traffic and I can't get it to work."

"How do you do it?"

"I think it'll be possible if we put out some fire."

"Okay, go ahead.”

The two people who heard the story beside the instructions shouted as if they were pouring out.

"Are you going to take your time ordering me? It's not your job!”

"I will blame you if you do something wrong!"

"Do whatever you can!! It's a great evil!!"

Julia tried to listen in silence. But what they said only grew louder and louder. Words of criticism against the Guard or Felix, who went on a crackdown, popped out.

'Cause I said, 'Let's see.’

Julia spoke heavily towards them.

"Don't you know your actions are disturbing!"

"Do you blame us now!"

"Don't act rashly! We don't know if it's an accident or arson.”

At that moment, a huge roar and piles of fireworks splashed out of the building.

"Argh!"

Many of them poured towards Julia and the nobles.

"Your Majesty!"

The nobles curled up, protecting their heads with their arms. And I expected a sense of heat to pour in the next moment, but nothing happened. Instead, the sound of a "poof" blowing through the wind hit their ears. As I lowered my raised arm, the emperor stood in front of them."I'm not willing to give up my man easily."

"Your Majesty, Your Majesty...".”

Julia, with him, took the sword from her arm, and handed it over from the Guards.

"Maybe the blanket, it's in a weird condition.’

So was the pile of fireworks a while ago. It was not natural, but it seemed to be aimed at someone. Julia talked to them pulling out the sword.

"So trust me and wait. I can always blame you in a safe place."

Julia ordered the Guard to protect them. I snapped off a long dress with him.

"If I had known this, I would have cut it from the west palace."

It took time for the dress to come because it was rough. Of course, he also apologized for his maid-in-law.

I'm sorry, Flena!

Sadly, it was because she had brilliantly forgotten how to destroy less, which' she emphasised over and over again. Julia left the ground as it was. Another pile of fireworks poured out. Her sword shone with a brilliant golden sword.

Whoosh!

Her sword moved like a wind.

Flap-flapping!

Numerous piles of fireworks were cut lightly with explosions and headed to a place where there were no people. Those who had just complained about the scene were looking at it like they were possessed look.

I can't believe people move like that. It's beautiful……'

With the emperor's body, she was willing to defend herself against a dangerous pile of flames. They were ashamed of themselves for being stuck in the corner and complaining. They quietly shut up and backed away from the scene. I didn't think I should bother you.

Felix reported with a tired face when Julia cut down a pile of fireworks flying for a few times.

"I'll lead you both out."

"Yes."

Eusto saw Felix's actions and immediately set up a guard near the entrance. It stopped raining for a while and I heard a creaking sound inside the building. He seemed to be concentrating to make a way for the two to come out.

Soon after, Brick and Jenna came out one after another.

"Your Highness!"

"Saint Mary!"

Then the others rushed to chase after him. Jenna persevered, but Brick lost consciousness as soon as he came out of the Guard.

"Your Highness, Your Highness!"

"Wake up."

Julia approached them cutting through piles of flames.

"Is everything all right, Earl? Count Weddin!

He coughed, perhaps with a sore throat. Just by looking at it, I could see that there was a danger of burning here and there. It was time for Julia to call her calm.

"Everyone get out of the way."

A clear voice rang clear at dawn. Silver hair fluttered like embroidery in the dark dawn sky. She looked at Yulia as if to trust her.

"Jenna."

Before Julia could say anything, she sat next to Brick. Silver poured out of his hands like dew. A strange pattern came to mind with him.

Soon, the rough burns on Brick's body were seen sinking one by one. Julia soon realized what it was.

'…healing.'

Julia looked at Jenna. Sweat formed on her forehead. This power was another reason why she was called a saint.

Brick's condition was calmed down but his consciousness did not return. Jenna, who healed him, also collapsed as if exhausted.

"Let the two of you rest in peace!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

The Guard was busy at Julia's command. The nobles who followed them seemed to have something to say. As Julia looked as if to try, instead of opening their mouths, they chased after the two. Before that, she looked at you with a dumbfounded face as she bowed to greet."What a change of heart."

Since then, Julia has kept her eye on the scene. It was at dawn that the fire was contained. All the guards were mobilized, and Felix used magic until dawn. Thanks to Felix, he was exhausted and wasn't here today. Even so, moving the weather seemed not easy.

The next afternoon, Julia received Cyril's report from the office.

"What's the damage?"

"More than half of the Western palace is unlikely to be used elsewhere."

Julia nodded her head as if it were done at the report.

The palace is burnt. We can always restore it.

Julia winked as if to give him another report. Cyril continued the report, clearing his throat.

"Fortunately, there were no fatalities, but as you know, Earl Irene suffered minor burns. Count Weddin is out of the woods, but he's not in very good shape."

"Send me your courtesy again."

"Yes."

"What about the Duke of Fez?"

At Julia's words, Cyril creaked up the corners of her mouth.

"It's all burnt down."

Julia killed her voice by looking at his expression and words.

"…that's what it looks like."

"Yes, there was an order you gave Felix a long time ago."

"Yes."

There were so many data from the Duke of Fez that digging and organizing them one by one required physical labor. However, the pace of progress was not satisfactory because there were so many urgent things.

Julia then felt a strange feeling of discomfort.

'I was worried that I might fly away because I didn't have a backup.’

I had a habit of working in my old life. It was just a backup. It was a valuable lesson that he learned after throwing away all the data he had organized overnight due to his vice president's mistake. She recalled a time when she agonized over a copy in the office.

"I think it would be dangerous to leave Duke Pez's data like that…Can't we make a copy somewhere or something?”

Of course I didn't really think it would be possible. Unlike copying data that ends when Control C and Control V are pressed, the Duke of Fez's data was paper documents. The presence of external hard drives or clouds did not allow copying.

However, the competent Felix walked up to Yulia and whispered:

"I can do it, Your Majesty."

"Huh?"

"I don't know how to do it yet, but I'll find a way as soon as you want!"

Julia looked at Felix in surprise at the words.

I knew I'd be a wizard later.

I wondered if there was anything Felix couldn't do. He's still young, and he's never formally learned magic.

'No one can teach Felix in the first place.’

In the novel, Julia once found a teacher for him, but his talent was so overwhelming that basic education was all.

Julia smiled brightly at Felix, thanking him for being on his side.

"Then I'll ask you. It's a necessity.”

To be exact, it was necessary for my mental and physical stability.

At that time, I was a little sorry because I felt like I was asking for something that wasn't very important right away. Felix, however, did not mind at all, and had made her a mad tool to make copies of other materials.

'I never thought what I started out with my anxiety would work like this.’

Very few people knew that Julia had such a horse tool. Cyril corrected her glasses and told Yulia."At the time, I thought you were worried too much, but there was wisdom."

"…there's no harm in preparing for anything."

Julia spoke with a sigh of relief. It wasn't Hye-an, but thanks to the lessons learned from experience.

"It's strange to say that the fire point of the western palace is the room next to the archives."

"Yes."

Julia checked the ignition paper and cause by looking at the report documents compiled by Cyril.

"There was always a keeper in the archives, and Felix was under the spell.”

"That's right. Even if the fire spread from the side, it should have been fine.”

However, the archives where Duke Pez's documents were located were burned clean. According to the report compiled by Cyril, the library's fire did not go out until the last time than other fires.

"It's not an ordinary fire.”

"Yes, so it's not just an accident."

Julia sighed at Cyril's words. Then we had to find the criminal. Then Eusto came knocking on the door of the office.

"Excuse me, Your Majesty."

"Has the investigation been concluded.

Eusto nodded and dropped a box about the size of a matchbox in front of her desk.

"This is……."

"We found it in the Western Palace Archives."

Julia found some familiar sentences there.

"This is Madogu…Is it?"

"Yes, the details need to be checked by Felix or the court wizard, but there are signs of mana."

Listening to that, I looked at the sentence carefully. It was definitely the main sentence. I met a lot of people at the ball yesterday, so maybe some of them had it. But I thought I'd seen it more than that.

"It's a sentence from the former Kingdom of Weddin."

"Huh?"

"The Earl of Weddin is changing the form of a sword minus one."

Julia realized why this sentence seemed familiar to her. At the time of the audience, he was wearing a coat bearing Count Wedin's sentence.

"So it's possible that Count Weddin was the culprit.”

Julia nodded as she listened to Eusto.

"Or the Earl of Weddin or someone in the former Kingdom of Weddin who wants to be the culprit.”

Rather, I thought the latter might be more likely. It was strange that he had to carve patterns on evidence that would remain like this.

"If you think otherwise, you may have carved it on purpose to avoid suspicion."

I was thrilled by the number of cases that came to my mind.

"Any evidence other than this?”

"There is no physical evidence left. But...."

"Only?"

"According to the guards at the palace, Earl of Irene and Count Wedin walked through the hall once in the morning, saying they couldn't sleep."

"To the archives?"

"They both say they've passed in front of him once."

"Didn't you do anything suspicious?"

"Yes, I walked just looking at the decorations, so the guards didn't hold me back."

Julia sighed deeply at Eusto's words.

'The evidence alone suggests that it's possible that they'….’

The problem was that there was no hard evidence. The evidence that they really put Madogu towards the archives or something like that.

"That's why Count Weddin went back in there.”

"Yes."

Brick's words, when he returned to consciousness for a moment, further complicated the situation.

'I heard there was an important piece of data in the archives, so I tried to bring it out even a little bit...….’

Of course it failed. Jenna said she went in to stop Brick like that. It's even harder to question because I risked my life.’

Most of the time I knew he was weak. There the nobles who followed him witnessed it all.

"You're in trouble.”

Cyril said quietly. Julia nodded in agreement with that.

"Yes, it might have been easier a few months ago."

"Then His Majesty wouldn't be here now."

At Cyril's words, Julia laughed cheerfully. If he had committed tyranny like before, he would have been out of this world long ago. However, everyone knew that he was back to his senses now.

Above all, there was an image that the two showed at the scene of the accident.

Without clear evidence, neither Earl Irene nor Count Wedin could be investigated carelessly. Because the two have their own power.

On top of that, Count Weddin cared about the excessive loyalty of his subjects to Brick. It was a blind feeling different from those who followed Jenna. Having them witness it also seemed to be the purpose of those who did it.

I wish I could do a fingerprint check or something.

With her chin resting on her hand, Julia thought about how to solve it.

'Explaining and investigating is like scratching other aristocrats.’

When I thought of that, my lips went up for a momentarily. Evidence that seems to have been deliberately left behind, behavior that seems to shake the royal family beside Yulia. A witness who seems to have been made there, a corruption document of the Duke of Fez burned down. And the fire was chosen in a way.

The purpose was seen.

I'm trying to create a stir between Ranchea and others. And the person who can move for that purpose...….’

The prime candidate was in my head. In the novel, after Julia died, he joined hands with Duke Pez and started a war.

It was King Eaton. There were several other candidates. It was the remaining royal families whose whereabouts were unknown during Julia's two-year tyranny.

'Then I'll use it the other way around. First of all, let's pretend to cover this case...….’

The two men's whereabouts for two years, evidence of the execution of the Duke of Pez, and data left in Felix's power.

'That's the extent of the tail... No, I can kick the ass of a man who does a dirty thing.’

Julia whispered to Eusto and Cyril as if to approach them.

"I'm going to have to deal with this as an accident on the outside.”

"Your Majesty."

"You know, there's a lot of protests coming out of the Weddin aristocracy."

"Yes, sir."

"If we investigate him as a suspect in this situation, the backlash will be crazy."

Cyril sighed and nodded at the words.

"Both may be allies, both enemies."

Syril talked knowingly on his worried face.

"But when it's not clear yet, it's too much of a loss to lose either."

As usual, it was confident Yulia.

"So on the surface, it looks like it went the way someone wanted it to. Instead, dig the back. Secretly."

Julia had a face that she believed that two people could do it well. Cyril frowned slightly, and Eusto nodded, as usual, with a reliable face.

All that's left is for Felix to investigate the scene one more time and cover it up with a plausible accident.’

Someone who resents Lanchea will be satisfied with that. I wanted you to be conceited. The more we do, the more we'll see him.Three days after the fire, Julia treated the incident as a simple accident and found Count Weddin, Brick. Thought there would be a backlash, but the Weddin nobles did not protest further.

Brick remained motionless in the room after that day. According to Taeui's report, the trauma was not serious. However, he said that his respiratory system was damaged by inhaling smoke.

It's too bad he doesn't really have anything to do with it. Especially since all the evidence was pointing to him.’

She walked into Brick's room and asked after him.

"How are you, Count Weddin?"

Lying in bed at Julia's visit, he struggled to get up. Perhaps because he was not well, his face was more pale than usual.

"I've improved a lot, Your Majesty."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't do that. Accidents can happen at any time."

Julia nodded apologetically at the word "accident".

"I've been told you need to take care of yourself for a while. I'll tell Tae-ui to pay attention."

"You take care of me like this. Thank you very much."

"If you want..."

Julia smiled at him as tenderly as she could. I needed to talk, as if I wasn't doubting him.

"I'll let some of the Weddin aristocrats stay in the capital.”

"Thanks for your words, Your Majesty."

Brick spoke with a pale smile, a pale complexion. There was no hesitation when answering. Furthermore, there was no apparent attempt to monitor Julia. It was contrary to the aristocracy who blindly followed him.

"I know that you take good care of me. But wouldn't it bother you if you'd stick with me?"

"Jim is……."

"Your majesty may say it is all right, but the eyes of others may not be."

After saying that, he breathed slowly, a little out of breath. I inhaled a few times, and then I opened my mouth again.

"I don't want to worry you."

"Count Weddin...".”

"I have sworn allegiance to you. It's not enough for me to make a concern."

He smiled gently as if he were really fine. Julia slowly rose to her feet without further encouragement. I didn't mean to force it.

"Then rest—let me know if you need anything."

"Thank you, Your Majesty."

Julia came out of the room after seeing him.

'Does Brick not doubt that I believe in him, or does he not want to doubt it?’

If he wasn't up to something, that reaction was natural. But on the contrary, even if he was planning something, it was a natural reaction. It was unexpected, and this was the imperial palace of Yulia. If you accept Julia's proposal and have someone around you, there may be some of the aristocrats who come and go who reveal loopholes.

You're so bloody. I have to doubt it, but somehow I feel guilty because I feel like I keep stabbing innocent people.

As long as he was an emperor, he felt burdened psychologically. The fact that Brick went back into the fire with a weak body pressed me more heavily.

Julia then went to meet Jenna.

"Is it all right to go out for a walk already?"

"Your Majesty!"

As soon as she saw Julia, she approached with a jump of joy. Jenna stopped in front of Yulia and smiled, giving a light example.

"I'm embarrassed to say I'm hurt."

Then she put out her arm."It's a little red from here to here, and there's nothing to be treated for."

Jenna sat close to Julia and talked.

"Your majesty had a hard time caring."

"It's all right, it's Jim's job."

"Still! I'm afraid you always work too much."

Julia smiled at the words. I felt like I had a younger brother. A cute little brother with a lot of affection. She looked like she didn't know it was a lie.

'But you have to ask me something.’

Julia sighed inside about ten times and opened her mouth.

"You didn't seem to be sleeping late that night either.”

"It happens all the time."

Jenna had mild insomnia, unlike her bright face. It was because of her childhood education. The former Grand Duke of Irene went through rigorous training to put her in front of others as a saint.

"So don't make such a dark face, Your Majesty."

"Jenna."

"Oh, I heard Count Weddin is still sick. Do you want me to take another look?

Julia shook her head at her question. Her healing power was not a cost-free comfort. Medicine here was dependent on medicine and acupuncture. People with healing powers like Jenna were rare enough to come out once every few hundred years.

"It's okay because you're taking good care of yourself."

"However...."

"I know what you go through when you use your strength."

Jenna shut her mouth at the words. Jenna's healing power was a force of a different nature from magic. Unlike magic that requires only horsepower, healing power needed conditions.

Jenna had the condition of seeing the most unhappy memory of the person being treated. Knowing that, Grand Duke Iren trained her to endure any misfortune from an early age.

"I read it with a lot of bad language.

There's no proper parent in this novel. Jenna was able to follow Yulia so well thanks to her capture of the Duchy of Irene and her separation from the former Grand Duke.

Despite Julia's misgivings, Jenna grinned and muttered to Julia.

"It's really nice…….”

"No, it's not that urgent."

"But I will use it when you need it."

Julia grinned at Jenna's words.

"Yes, Jim will never get hurt."

She was delighted with the words. I was sorry to talk to her as if I had talked to her as if I were trying to talk to her.

There's a possibility that neither of them is a criminal.

But I had to be determined. I wanted to refuse to give favors and get stabbed in the back of my head.

"Come to think of it, that night."

"Huh?"

Jenna looked as if she had something on her mind.

"Maybe I saw something wrong, but I think I saw a strange light when I entered the room."

"Light?"

"Yes, I don't think it's magic... It wasn't even a candle or a torch.”

Jenna spoke with a look of memory.

"I wonder if it was a firefly, but the movement was strange to say so.”

"How?"

"I felt like I was drawing something. I drew it because it was interesting...….”

She agonized, then opened the purse she had hung on her sleeve as if it had crossed her mind.

"This is it."

It was a crumpled piece of paper.

"When I found out there was a fire, I took it out just in case."

"To show Jim?"

"Yes, but I forgot until Her Majesty asked. I'm sorry."Julia shook her head at the words. It was such a surprise that it wasn't strange if I had forgotten. The crooked painting was hard to recognize, but it did look like a pattern.

"Maybe I shouldn't have thought about it because you told me it was an accident.”

"No, thank you.”

"Don't mention it, I'm happy to help you in this way."

Julia felt her conscience pricked again by Jenna's bright smile.

"Do you know about this?"

When Julia asked, Cyril and Felix saw a folded piece of paper.

"…what a clumsy picture."

I wasn't asking for an appreciation, but Cyril's first words were a scathing assessment. Felix, however, looked and smiled quietly.

"Is this a painting by Count Irene?"

"How did you know?”

"It's because Count Irene always asked me to teach her how to paint."

Felix said with a bothered face.

"I thought it was the Earl's work that I drew with all my strength in the pen.”

Felix then took the paper from the side and copied the painting. Unlike Jenna, it was a very skillful painting.

"Maybe he wanted to paint something like this.”

"There's a specialty Jim doesn't know.”

Felix seemed to be wondering whether to rejoice or not at Julia's words. I think it's a compliment, but it was complicated because it was linked to Jenna.

In the novel, Jenna and Felix were in a good chemistry, but strangely quarreling.’

We've been friends for a long time since we were young. Meanwhile, Cyril quietly looked at Felix's painting and opened his mouth.

"It's an ancient symbol."

"Ancient symbols?"

"Yes, I understand why there were no signs left at the scene. Perhaps Felix knows better about this."

When Cyril winked at Felix, he opened his mouth.

"Exactly, it should be called the ancient magic symbol."

"Magic?"

Julia quietly recalled whether this setting was in the book.

'With this detailed setting, I'm sure somewhere...….’

At that moment, with a slight pain in my head, the contents of the book came to mind as if they were listed in text for the first time in a while.

Jeanie Irene, like her healing power, called magic in ancient times the ability to be born and expressed, not learning.

There were only two phenomena in the use of this ancient magic.

One is the rebound toward the ability taker, the other is the symbol of the ability used.

Julia breathed out a small breath. Also, the story seemed to be out of the blue until it was actually met.

"Your Majesty?"

"No, it's nothing. Keep talking, Felix."

"These ancient spells are as far as I know as Count Irene and Princess Guyana of Eton."

"Then this symbol...….”

"But I don't think it's Princess Guyana. Ancient magic can only use one ability.”

Felix stared at the pattern and stared at Cyril.

"But I don't know ancient language...….”

It was a subtle pressure on Cyril to take over.

"Can you do it?"

Yulia also looked at Cyril one after another and asked. When asked if he could do it, he knew he would never say he couldn't do it. He also nodded, sighing with a face that seemed to have increased his troubles.

"I see. I'll know what ancient magic is. However, tracking is not my specialty."

"Okay, first, find out what ancient magic is.""Yes. …By the way, the E-Turn keeps popping out."

"I know."

The fact that Guyana was an ancient magic user and it felt uncomfortable. Along with him, there was one more phrase that came to mind.

You're really trying. It's my memory.'

Julia was annoyed and thought for a moment about why it became unstable, possessed by my memory.

I hope we can find out why soon.’

The client who only shouted "return" was disgusted. Even if it's your own memory.
