I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 411: Squad Leader

After the death of their previous tyrannical ruler, Inferno has become a much better place. The Succubi and the Incubi now had their place in the realm, and so did the other inhabitants.

While trying to maintain the peace, Geneva along with the guidances of the Cauldron of Eternal Flames took it upon herself to rule the realm. She had the highest authority while the Infernal Ruler was absent..

And to maintain a balance of things and to prevent another tyrannical ruler, the leaders from the tribes assigned one representative they refer to as a First District Senators. The Second District Senators were composed of the generals from the previous ruler.

Both districts of senators would create and implement laws for the betterment of their realm.

One of these senators from the First District was Cracked Orbs of the Flaming Heads tribe. They used to be a glorious kingdom that lived in the hills, but after the attack on their realm, much like what happened to the other kingdoms, they were reduced to tribes.

He was angry for the Infernal Eternal because he wasn't presence when their realm was being attacked. Cracked Orbs felt a great anger towards Connor.

Upon hearing he name, Connor wanted to laugh. He looked at the priestess and killed his laugh off when he saw that she was being serious.

"Orbs, we are helping the Terrans because we can," Geneva said.

"No offense Priestess," Cracked Orbs raised both his hands. "But you saying that means that you're just letting Malice target us even more. If she sends an all out attack against us, we won't stand a chance."

"No, she won't. Just trust me," Geneva said. "Therese, please continue with the evacuation. We won't be stopping now."

Therese nodded and continue to help the citizens of Shyako into the portals, Orbs had the look of anger upon seeing this, but he couldn't do anything to stop it. It was already happening.

"If there's an attack against us…" Orbs trailed off, pointing at Geneva. "The Flaming Heads Tribe will not help. We will watch your petty make up kingdom perish."

With that, Cracked Orbs left. Therese chuckled and shook her head, "So, that's why they're Flaming Heads. They're hotheaded privileged folks who think they're better."

"So selfish," Levitican whispered. He was on the shoulders of Therese, riding her like a child. "Pyromancers never liked their tribe. They act like that all the time."

"No point in chitchatting," Geneva said. "Let's go."

She turned to Connor who was smiling at her, admiration present in his eyes, "You look even more beautiful when you command."

Geneva blushed and shook her head, "Oh, shut up."

Not long after their evacuation, the Infernals left Shyako. Elliot, Lance, Connor, Ed, Kaminari, and Guan Yin were the only ones left. They were now planning to seek the other Rogue Crystal Maiden. They were trying to figure out where she would go next, and which Crystal Maiden she would awaken next.

Junko, being a Crystal Maiden herself, wanted to stay and help. She said that this was their fight, yet the majority of their savior were foreigners.

Of course, no one agreed on letting her stay. For the enemies, she was the big target. If they happen to get her, it would be game over.

"What's the nearest kingdom from here?" Elliot asked Guan Yin. The woman narrowed her eyes and thought for a moment. "The next kingdom would be Kkeun, but it's already destroyed."

"No," Kaminari said. "Where did you think I was hiding all this time?"

Elliot and Lance looked at each other after the mentioning of Ilwoo's home kingdom. His kingdom wasn't completely destroyed after all. There must be survivors that are left, the ones who helped Kaminari.

"Are they still in Kkeun?" Guan Yin asked. "If they are, then we might need their help. We need food, and Kkeuners are particularly famous for their cuisine."

"They are," Kaminari grinned. "I eat a lot of their food every day."

"Then, what are you waiting for?" Elliot asked. "Let's go."

Half of the people around the table stood. They were looking at the Trinity of Power with shock and disbelief.

"Your majesty…" Galaxia trailed off, looking at the Holy Crow who had a determined face.

"What you heard is right," the Holy Crow said. "Daniel will be in charge of the fourth squad."

The plan of attack was to divide the Top 20 Adventurers into four squads. Each squad will have five members from the Top 20, and ten more from the Top 60 Adventurers. One leader would be assigned in each squad, and the leader is the one who commands the entire group.

Elizabeth stood and bowed, "Your highness, your excellencies, please reconsider your decision."

Other Adventurers, the ones who stood, did the same. Frederick, Midnight, and Luck looked at each other, also shocked. No one knows what was going on, neither did they know why.

It just so happened that a whimpy young Adventurer became part of the Top 20, and now was a leader of a squad for a very important mission.

King Leopold raised his hand and cleared his throat, making the bowing Adventurers return to their seats. He looked at the young boy and nodded to him, as if they were talking inside their minds.

"Seniors," Daniel stood. "I guess, I will have to show you my capabilities."

The boy walked on the side where guards dragged a large power measurement device. It was a giant green orb that was attached to a stand with three arms and three legs. Daniel took a deep breath and placed his hand on the giant crystal orb of the device.

In a split second, the boy's orbs glowed with a fierce red color. The room was filled with an atmosphere of pure darkness while a black aura came out of Daniel and latched itself into the crystal.

In front of the device showed a set of holographic numbers. It was running up while Connor kept on pushing his energy into the orb. When he was done, everyone gasped after seeing the numbers in the display.

"Impossible!" a man stood, slamming his hands on the wooden table. "That's an amount fit for a Guardian. How come he reached that number in a day?"

Daniel smiled, "Senior, I just embraced my powers. I'm a half vampire, and I just discovered my power."

"Impossible–"

"So, you think our device is mistaken?" King Leopold asked. "Or you think our judgement is wrong? By questioning Daniel, it means you are questioning us."

The man fell back to his seat. From then on, no one ever dared to speak. They just let the Trinity of Power instruct them for the war that's about to come.

After their meeting, the four men from the Azure Scorch Guild stayed with the Trinity of Power. Frederick requested them for a private talk.

"What happened to that boy?" Frederick didn't waste any time and asked. "His powers are not normal. A boost in power with that much growth is impossible."

King Leopold sighed, "To be honest, I do not know. It may be selfish of me, but I just want to save Lance."

"We all wanted to save them," Luck said. "But we have to keep an eye on Daniel."

"That is why we asked you to be here," the Holy Crow said. "We know you two very well, Freddie and Lucky. If anything happens, you're the only ones we can rely on."
