I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 344: Twilight Prince

The flames lit ablaze as the red haired man formed a fist with his hands. "You've gone too far, b*tch."

With a flash, he appeared in front of Livor. The Sin widened her eyes, not expecting for Fredrick to move as fast. He hugged himself while sparks erupted from his back. Aviditio took a few steps back, eyes widening even more after feeling another set of aura erupt from the man like a massive volcano.

He threw his hands out and his back exploded with dark blue flames gushing out like water. The flames formed a vortex, curling inwards before bursting into two large pairs of wings.

The upper wings were large and wide, expanding up to one and a half the length of his arms. The lower wings were smaller and more slender. Unlike the upper wings that resided horizontally, the lower wings were pointed downwards.

Other than his wings, Frederick's pupils were also glowing with a dark blue flame. It was a mixture of anger and desperation. Anger for what happened to Lance and desperation to kill his opponent.

"Azure Phoenix's Breath." Frederick pointed his palm at Aviditio, a small wisp of blue flame sparked from it before shooting a terrifyingly fast bird-shaped flame.

Aviditio growled, gripping her wrist as she crossed her arms and let vines from it grow and form a shield. Just when she thought she was safe, the bird suddenly swerved to the right, avoiding her shield.

"Oh, no!" the Sin yelled, meeting the attack with her own body. Aviditio's spot exploded with a large cloud of dark blue flame. The flames were a testament of Frederick's rage. It was almost as if you could hear the scream of the guild master in the flames.

"Did you get her?" Luck asked, running beside his friend. Frederick raised his arm to keep Luck behind him. His eyes never left the flames from his attack that were still burning.

"I don't think a simple of an attack like that will do it," Luck said. "Unlike the others, I'm not special. I'm not an Eternal, I'm not a God title holder, and I'm not that strong. I never was."

The man's head was smacked from behind. Luck closed his eys and sighed, shaking his head, "There you go again with your sentiments. Stop that or else, I'll get sentimental too."

"If only I was just a bit stronger then…" Frederick trailed off. "Maybe things didn't end up like this."

"And that kid will never be named the one who will end Malice," Luck suddenly got serious. "Freddie, everything happens for a reason. If you managed to stop him before, the Prophesized Boy will not be born. And Malice will have a bigger chance to destroy us all."

"You're right," Frederick finally curled his lips up and formed a smile. "Thank you, Luck."

"Shut up," Luck rolled his eyes. He was about to reach for Frederick's head to ruffle his hair when a sharp thick vine passed through his chest.

It felt like their worlds stopped spinning. Frederick watched as Luck slowly paled before his eyes lose their life completely. The vine that came from inside the cloud of flames retracted, followed by a surge of a strong presence.

"L-Luck?" Frederick's flame wings and the flames on his limbs died instantly. His feet landed on the ground and caught his large best friend's body before it fell to the ground. "Luck, wake up."

The bear-like man was lifeless in his friend's arms. His eyes were open but it was void of life. The blood from the open hole in his chest dripped all on Frederick. The crimson liquid staining the white dress shirt of the red haired man.

"Luck, wake up," Frederick cried. "Don't leave me, Luck. They already left me. Please."

Tears streamed from the man's eyes as he continued to shake his friend's body. Frederick started sobbing, looking at Luck who was staring emptily at the skies. The former continued to call out his friend's name, but it was all in vain.

Luck was dead.

"Oh, how cute," Aviditio's voice came from inside the flames. With a single swift wave of her hand, the flames disappeared completely, her hand was raised in the air and it was morphed into giant wet leaf. "Your friend died because you were wide open. You could've blocked my attack if you didn't lose your focus."

She was right. Frederick blamed himself for letting Luck get hit with the attack. He was trying to find Aviditio's aura inside the flames, but he got distracted instead. He let the woman hide her presence and target his friend.

"It's my fault," Frederick whispered. "I was the one who let Luck die. I didn't block the attack. It was me all along."

"It was," Aviditio said. "So, will you avenge your friend or will you just cry like a b*tch?"

When Frederick was just a second from standing up, a boy walked in front of him. He stopped right in front of Frederick, grazing his fingers into the handles of his swords before brandishing them both at once.

There was a large wound on his left arm, but he was still able to stood like nothing was happening. Lance stood firmly on both his feet, lighting up his swords and facing Aviditio. "Thanks for the wake-up call."

"B-But she said she stole your soul," Frederick uttered. "Lance, how is this possible?"

Lance shook his head while a chuckle escaped his lips. He took out a small plant from his pocket and threw it at Frederick. "Here's your answer."

The latter caught the plant and examined it. It was a parasitic plant that causes the victim to be paralyzed. The plant wasn't a common plant in Terra, but since Aviditio was made of flowers, she could produce such exotic plants at ease.

"I think you've done enough, Frederick," Lance said. "Take care of Luck's body. I'll deal with her."

"Lance, you can't possibly–"

"God Mode!" Lance yelled. "Twilight Prince!"

Meanwhile, in the dark realm and the black castle, Malice watched the events unfold in Terra. She was in her throne room with some of her Vassals, enjoying the struggle Terrans were facing.

"My queen," Appetite bowed, entering the room. The large man sat beside Bruno who was also sitting beside Lilith. "Oh, Lilith, how was your hunt?"

"Apparently, the Fallen Angels took her siblings," Malice said. The woman was in a rather good mood while she was sitting comfortably on her raised seat around the circular table they were in. She was smiling widely while taking her gaze out the large screen to answer questions, even when they weren't directed to her.

"My queen, is that okay?" Appetite asked. "We need the boy– well, the girl also for emotional support. Is it okay to let the Angels have their filthy hands over them?"

"Yeah," Malice said. "Lilith can take care of those prisoner brats, but it keeps these poor Terran f*ckers stressed. After these Sins are defeated, the Angels will make a grand appearance and then they'll offer ransom for the children or some sh*t."

"And after that, what will we do, my queen?" Appetite continued asking. "And do you believe that the Sins will be defeated? They lie in much lower level than us, meaning they are too powerful."

"We get the children in the hands of whoever wins the final battle," Malice said. "And yes, I believe so."

"Why are you so confident about this, if you don't mind me asking, my queen," Bruno butted in.

Malice shrugged and relaxed back into her seat. "I will show you my secret weapon soon. And don't try to faint when you see it."
