I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 341: The Traitor

Johnson narrowed his eyes but moved the sand spheres closer to Livor. He gestured for Hope to stop and to follow him get closer to the Sin who was still stuck in his concrete.

"What do you mean by those words?" Johnson asked. "Why would a Sin betray his comrades? Don't you all have the same goal?"

"That's what I thought. We had the same goals, but no," Livor replied. "Irus has plans of his own. He has his own goals, and he will do whatever he can to make sure he achieve all of them. Alone."

"And where is this Irus?" Johnson asked. "Was he sealed with all of you?"

"No. But it was a fitting end for a traitor like him. He was planning on betraying the humans after they helped him betray us, but they seem to have fought back," Livor replied. "Although I do not know what exactly happened after we were sealed, I figured out that Irus and the humans fought each other. After all the millenniums that had passed, I do not recall having to sense his aura a day after we were sealed. I would say that he's good as dead, but knowing Irus, he must still be alive. And I do not want to be around when that time comes"

"I don't get it," Hope said. "If you were sealed, how did you detect his presence?"

"Do not underestimate a Sin, boy," Livor said. "Our current powers were drained to a fraction of what it used to be, by some kind of lesser darkness, but we still have overwhelming amount of strength. Even at our sealed state, we still know how mana flows in all Six Realms."

Johnson moved the sand spheres right on Livor's skin. He sighed and looked at the giant Sin in the eyes. "Are you sure about this? We have to kill you."

"Just kill me," Livor grunted. He faced forward and stared at the ruined stadium that Hope threw him at. "And make sure that dragon kills me. I will offer him a gift."

"One more thing," Hope said that made Livor groan. "How did this Irus came in contact with the humans? If he's a Sin, shouldn't he be with you?"

"Good question," Livor chuckled. "And the answer lies on what happened after the first humans were turned."

The large collective army of the Five Kingdoms retreated after the storm of clouds made of darkness swarmed from the pit. The Kings granted their men all the boosts they could give so that they would survive.

Their men turned to dark, undead knights were a sight no one had ever wanted to see in their lifetime. When the swords retreated, it was replaced with a giant overwhelming cloud.

After seeing the cloud, the Kings could only order their men to go back. Arrows, spears, or any weapon couldn't possibly block the cloud unlike the sword.

"I will create a shield, everyone, go!" the Grass King yelled and leaped from his horse. He slammed his hands on the ground and made roots grow from the soil. The roots were waving from the ground while they waited for the rest of their men.

"Leave us!" some of the knights that were behind yelled. "Protect the kingdom, our Kings. We believe in you!"

"Do it!" the Azure King yelled. "If you won't do it, everyone here will die!"

"I can't just–"

"Takeover," the Purple King whispered and he possessed the Grass King. He moved the latter's hand and clutched the dirt, activating the Grass King's magic.

He made the roots grow to create a large wall of trees, standing over one hundred meters tall and having the thickness of half a forest. The knights that were behind the trees could only yell as the dark cloud take over them.

When the trees were completely blocking the path, the clouds seemed to have stopped. The Grass King regained the control of his body, but fainted after. All his mana was drained from activating the giant wall.

"I'll take him," the Purple King said and took the unconscious king. He strapped the king on the end of the saddle and mounted his horse.

"His position looks uncomfortable," the Sun King noted after seeing the Grass King hang from the back of the horse.

"Doesn't matter. Let's go," the Purple King dismissed and led the way back.

They managed to outrun the storm of darkness but at a cost.

"It's no use!" the Crimson King cried as he fell to his knees in the throne room. "We lost half our men with just that attack. What lies in that pit is beyond all our powers."

"What is the Almighty doing?" the Purple King asked out loud. "He managed to bless us with powers that united our own people, but in times of crisis like this, He had vanished."

"I am sure he has His reasons–"

"But what?!" the Purple King snapped, cutting the Azure King off. "He abandoned us when a great evil has come to wreck havoc in our midst."

"Since He is gone, we need to fight this evil by ourselves," the Grass King brandished his swords and raised it. "We are the Kings of our people. They trust us with their lives. And we must not break that trust."

"There is a very thin line between what you can and what you can't do, my Kings."

A man stood by the large door of the throne room. The Kings were alarmed by his overwhelming presence, making them brandish their own swords and charged it with their power.

"Who are you and what do you think you're doing here?!" the Azure King yelled.

The man was tall, about seven feet tall. His body was slender and his limbs were long. He was wearing a black suit with a coat hanging from his shoulders while his right hand held a walking stick with a lion-shaped pommel. His shoes were black and pointed, but ig doesn't look anywhere like a clown's shoes.

"I am in desperate need for your help," the man said with a deep and husky voice. "My brothers and sisters will kill all of humanity. Help me seal them for good."

"Brothers and sisters?" the Sun King asked. "Whatever do you mean?"

"I am one of the beings that lies within that pit," the man answered. "I will help you seal them, but I am not doing it for free."

The Kings weren't happy with his words. They raised their swords at him and glared at the man, waiting for him to speak again.

"My favor is simply freedom," he said. "I do not want wars and all that. I just want peace."

"But you don't look like you want peace!" the Crimson King yelled. He slashed his sword and fired a red crescent-shaped attack on the man.

The latter answered the attack by raising his palm in front of him. The red slash stopped before he could reach him, the attack seemingly trembling as it was suspended in front of him. "I told you, I didn't come here to attack."

"You didn't even say that!" all the other Kings yelled and fired their attacks.

The Grass King was the last to fire, "We don't need you here. We can handle this ourselves!"

Before their attacks could reach the man, everything stopped and the world was covered with an inverted color. The Kings gasped after feeling the powerful boiling of the aura coming from the man. He was only standing there, face stoic and body unmoving, but his presence was felt all over the five kingdoms.

"I need you to listen to me," the man said. "My name is Irus, and I will help you seal the Seven Deathly Sins."
