I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 339: Time's Up

Midnight covered his mouth with his hands and was shaking his head in shock. He looked around to see if anyone else heard Mystique, but no one was around. This kind of information was not to be thrown out like that so carelessly.

"Are you sure about this?" Midnight narrowed his eyes. "That is a serious accusation."

"You have no time to spare. I bet the Antique magician is looking for him right now," Mystique said.

Midnight tilted his head to the side, "Him?"

"The Seventh Sin," Mystique replied. He's the most powerful among all of us, and the one who betrayed us to rule over the world alone. Once he wakes up and wrecks havoc, no one will survive."

Midnight scoffed and rolled his eyes. He raised his sword and pointed it at Mystique, "But why are you telling me this?"

"I don't have much time in my hands. And I want to avenge myself for what he has done to us. He broke our pact. Even when we grew up together in the darkness, he was swallowed with all the sins," Mystique replied, he looked at himself and chuckled humorlessly. "I don't even have hands anymore. At least, I know I can't defeat him, but maybe you will. Kill Irus for me. If he is not stopped, then he will spread his Sin. Just like how he did it thousands of years ago."

Midnight nodded as he watched Mystique fall face first on the ground. He sighed and lowered his hands, making his sword disappear and for his body to morph back. "Goodbye, Mystique."

"Sultry Wishes–"

Mystique was about to cast a spell when his body burst into a ball of fire. He was screaming inside as his figure tried to stand and get out, but the fire started spinnng and forming a vortex.

The raven-haired man had to block his face with his arms and stepped back because of the intensity of the fire. He turned around and saw Connor kneeling with Geneva casting a fire healing spell behind him. His hands were firmly placed on the ground while a line of red symbols travel from his palms and into the vortex that was burning Mystique.

"Congratulations! You have earned the Blessing of Lust."

"One minute!" Livor yelled while laughing hysterically. He was on the ground, his nails piercing the artificially created soil tightly as his tail swerved in the air while clashing with the dragon boy's claws. "You survived one minute, but you won't last a minute more!"

"Less talking, more fighting!" Hope growled. He saw the scorpion tail approach him and shoot towards him, so he spun in the air to meet it halfway and slam his claws right on it.

He was tightly wrapping his thick-scaled dragon claws at the tail without worrying about the poison it may contain. He was confident enough in his skin that he knew all too well that it won't penetrate through.

"You have some strength here," Livor smirked and waved his tail while Hope was holding it. He slamed it right on the ground, creating a large crater with Hope's body. "But it seemes like brute strength is all you have."

Livor was retracting his tail after feeling that Hope let go of it. The cloud of dust that he created by slamming Hope on the ground made the Sin smirk. By the powerful force he created, the dragon must have suffered even the slightest damage.

When the last few trails of Livor's tail was about to get out of the smoke, his tail stopped. He felt a firm hold on the tip, making his eyes widen in shock. The Sin flinched aftet feeling a powerful concentration of magic gathering from inside the dust cloud.

He pulled his tail harder, only to fail. "Let go! Let go of my tail!"

When the dust was cleared, the ones around them, even the Sins nearby gasped. Hopd was gripping Livor's tail with his arms while his mouth was wide open, an orb of gray light was charging up from his mouth as he continued to gather up more and more magic.

"I felt the Eternals' powers earlier, but you're also one of them too?!" Livor screamed in fear. "But how are you more powerful than us?! We are the spawns of darkness the, Forsaken's children. His flesh and blood runs through us– his power runs through us."

Hope responded by clicking his tongue and firing the sphere in a form of an intensely lit gray beam. "Supreme Dragon's Radiant Blaze."

His attack was approaching the now trembling Livor. The Sin closed his eyes as he await for his destiny and let the beam consume him. His figure slowly disappeared from the light that reached past through Livor and destroying the part of the Coliseum behind him.

Feeling the presence of Livor was finally gone, Hope deactivated his attack and sighed. The only remains of the Sin was his tail that was in his arms.

"Now to find the others–"

Hope felt his world stop after feeling the familiar presence behind him. It was too fast to process, but Livor was now clinging behind him, the Sin's claws was tracing his neck and felt like it was going to attack him any second now.

"B-But you're dead," Hope stuttered. "Your presence vanished when I fired my attack. How is this possible?"

"You made me ponder upon my questions earlier," Livor spoke with a coarse voice. "How can you, a mere Eternal best someone like me, a Deathly Sin?"

A cackling sound came from Livor's back and from Hope's peripheral view, he saw the Sin's tail growing once more. This made Hope gulp both in shock and fear. It seemed like Livor wasn't defeated just yet.

"So, I thought about it and I realized I know the answer," Livor continued. His scorpion tail had now regenerated and tapped Hope's hard chest with its sharp pointy tip. "You were never stronger than I was. A Sin is a Sin and an Eternal is an Eternal, your powers will never best me and that is final."

Livor laughed and struck his tail at Hope, gasping aftet Hope immediately turned to ashes before he could kill him. The Sin turned around to look for Hope, growling when he couldn't find him. His eyebrows met after realizing that he was now the only person inside the stadium.

The once battleground filled with screams and lights from attacks was now barren, void of life that it had just a moment ago. Livor growled at the thought. He crawled around the stadium and was looking for any signs of life, only to fail.

"Looking for me?" Hope's voice rang around him. This made Livor yell in anger and grip his head. "What's wrong? Can't find me?"

"This–" Livor was about to screamnin anger, but instead he smirked and erupted in laughter. "Oh, so you want to play this game."

"What if I do?" Hope challenged.

Livor shook his head before dashing forward, slashing his tail in front of him that ripped a fabric of space. He grinned when there was a cylindrical-shaped magic around him that vanished instantly.

"Of course, the illusionist caught me off guard," Livor grinned. "Time's up, mortals. I win."
