I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 313: Angel Hunter

Connor, Ed and Hope were about to launch themselves towards Polschk and his floating island when the entire day turned to night in an instant.

Everyone held their positions as they watched a large rounded shield covering the sun. A man was below the shield, crossing his arms as he floated above the stadium.

"Angels thrive in the dark," the man said. "And Fallen Angels reign in the darkness."

Four more people appeared beside the man, two women and two men. One woman wore a large and spherical cloak over her body. There was a hole on the side that she used to take her hand out.

With a snap of her fingers and a blink of an eye, the entire Zodiac Sphere was shattered into pieces. The once sturdy forcefield that withstood beams from the Oracion Alma's attacks, broken like a fragile glass. Only the gems remained afloat while its beams vanished into thin air.

"We are the Fallen Angels!" the first man said. "I am Weslan, and we are here to claim the Twilight Bless."

The five angels from the skies were about to dash towards the stadium when a loud clank on the metal shield sounded. The angels turned around to see what caused the sound, only for the shield to be shaken from above.

There was a large claw arm that appeared on the side of the broken shield, an arm of a dark gray dragon. The angels slowly floated down in defense while a ray of sun passed through the craks of the now broken shield. A large snout with fangs the size of a human child tore the shield and swallowed the metal.

"What is this?!" Weslan yelled.

"This is a reverse attack." The angels turned to see Isabelle hovering over the stadium. She was looking up on the angels above her, eyebrow quirking up. "You didn't even notice how the gems didn't shatter after the forcefield broke."

"Y-You!" the other female angel yelled and pointed at Isabelle. "I know you."

Her outfit composed of a fur pants and a tight fur strap that covered her chest, something opposite of what the other angel wore.

"Of course you do," Isabelle yelled back. She raised her hand and snapped her fingers. The gems that hovered on the air from the Zodiac Sphere shook, emanating a glow that made them spew out beams and created another forcefield around the stadium.

"Weslan," the angry female angel said. "I'll deal with her."

"Calm down Anitta," Weslan raised his hand to stop her. "Let us deal with the dragon first. Stanley, can you handle this?"

"I will deal with this," the other male angel nodded. There was a smirk on his face that exuded pure confidence. He floated closer to Kian who was in his dragon form and was eating the metal shield like it was bread.

"Stan, be careful," the cloaked female angel said. She held Stanley's shoulder and squeezed it. "It broke your shield. Don't let it break you too."

"I won't," Stanley replied and flew up. "Take care, Sybyl."

The last male angel was silent during all the events that had happened. He was just watching over everything with droopy eyes, his long hair that reached his foot was messed up, some covering his face. He wasn't wearing any top clothing, only a long tight leather pants and a pair of metal shoes.

"Rade," Weslan called out. "Be prepared. You take on the Prophesized Boy while we deal with the High Priest."

Rade only nodded while kept his position. The others floated down, Anitta extended her arms to the side and conjured gloves that reached up to her elbow. The gloves were white with black stain-like patches all over it.

She was gritting her teeth and clenching her fists tightly. Her anger towards Isabelle was seen through her aura of pure rage. The closer she got to Isabelle, the more angry she seemed to be.

Meanwhile, Sybyl who was wearing the large spherical cloak traced a large circle below them. The circle appeared as a hole on Isabelle's Zodiac Sphere, creating a path for them to enter.

"Will Anitta be alright?" Sybyl asked Weslan as they descended on the ground. "I mean, she is strong but she's facing a fearsome foe."

"She'll make it," Weslan brushed the conversation off. "I know she will."

"O-Okay." Was all Anitta's response, trailing the man behind him as they walked inside the stadium.

Inside the arena was pure chaos. The Adventurers were busy with fighting the Son of Heaven followers and breaking the others out of their binds. The bald and blind followers were also being resilient as they come one after the other without an end.

"I-I'm curious," Sybyl trailed off as she continued following Weslan inside the stadium. "The Arch Mage wasn't able to become the food for the beam so the keys would activate, why is the High Priest still able to chant his spells?"

"Do not ask me that question," Weslan replied. "I also do not know the answer. It was quite fascinating how they were able to do it. Must be something to do with the boy who lost his arms in the process."

"Maybe his life was an enough sacrifice for the keys," Sybyl pursed his lips. "Poor boy, suddenly becoming the pawn. The other angels took a liking to him, you know? He's very strong."

"What do you mean?" Weslan stopped on his tracks and turned around to face Sybyl. "What do you mean by that?"

"T-The boy fell on his face to the ground," Sybyl said. "He died after loosing his arms."

Weslan was silent for a few seconds. His gaze shifted from the girl in front of him, to the destroyed seats on the side of the stadium. "Curious, quite curious. I could not feel any death in this stadium."

"Die!" Anitta screamed and threw her fist on Isabelle's direction. The woman was standing on top of her Zodiac Sphere and took a step to the side.

Even Anitta could say that she was using a lot of her magic, she was still unable to kill the woman.

"I was called the Angel Hunter," Isabelle said. "I didn't think you'd recognize an old face like this."

"You killed my parents right in front of me!" Anitta yelled. "How could you do such a thing?!"

"It was my job to defeat evil in Heaven and eliminate those who are going to fall into them," Isabelle replied. "I only purged Heaven's dark side so you could live normally."

"But my parents were kind–"

"And dead," Isabelle cut her off. "I have seen them hunt Terrans, Demons and other races for play. You think I just–"

An aura shaped like a fist was thrown to Isabelle's direction. She raised her and threw six gems in the air, creating a flat shield that blocked the attack.

"Show me your true powers, Angel Hunter!" Anitta yelled. "Show me how powerful can you become that you were able to kill my parents who were high on the Angels."

Isabelle sighed. She took out two yellow gems on her pocket and threw it above her. The gems was in the air when they formed a circle in the air, sparks of yellow lightning igniting from them.

"You do not earn the right to see how I fly," Isabelle said. "Gems of Yellow Lightning. Flash!"

The gems fired a large lightning strike towards Anitta. The woman raised both her arms in front of her, the metal gloves covering herself from the attack. "Angelic Shield of Fist!"

There was a white dome that covered Anitta before the lightning struck. The dome was shaking as the fierce attack from the elderly woman met it with its power.

"Two gems aren't enough, huh?" Isabelle sighed. "I didn't want to ruin my retirement and show everyone my offensive skills, but it seemed like I have no choice."

"No, you don't," Anitta chuckled. "You need to give it your all because I will not stop until I kill you."

Anitta had a messy set of curly dark brown hair. She shook her head vigorously, making her hair slowly lighten in color. She then ran her hands over her head, a metal helmet following her movements.

"Transforming," Isabelle chuckled. "Let's see how you can keep up."

"Show me the power that killed my parents," Anitta said. She hugged herself for a few seconds, groaning as a painful sound of breaking bones came from her back. "I want to see how they were killed and what kind of power killed them."

"Daring," Isabelle whispered. Her eyes widen when a pair of black stained white wings burst out of Anitta's back. The angel screamed as the wings opened up, showing everyone its size that reached up to the forcefield they stood on.

"Fallen Angels had their wings taken out of their bodies," Isabelle narrowed her eyes. "How come you still have yours?"

"We didn't lose anything once we go to that prison," Anitta said. She recovered from the pain and was now standing still, her head held high in pride. "They just make us forget that we have it in the first place."

"Interesting," Isabelle nodded a couple of times. Her hands found their way onto her pocket, gripping the gems inside tightly before she threw several at Anitta.

When her eyes found their way to the direction of where the angel once stood, she could only gasp after seeing Anitta gone.

"Looking for me?" Anitta whispered behind her. "I will not rest until I kill you. Remember that."
