I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 283: The Creator's Heart II

Elliot's friends looked at him in disbelief. He just confessed about his underlying suspicions with Polschk.

"Elliot, the man helped us with all of these," Lance said. "If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't even know anything about the Twilight Bless. We wouldn't know that there's things going on right under our noses."

"But I have this gut feeling," Elliot muttered. "I think he's lying to us about something. I don't know which part, or maybe all parts, but I just feel like there's something."

While everyone else was thinking it through, Elliot was asking Jameson, "Do you have somewhere to be today?"

Jameson shook his head, making Elliot nod and add, "I want you to stay here with the guys. I will go to Madam Locraine and ask her for something. Guys, will you be able to watch Jameson out for me?"

"As long as he doesn't sneak up on me while I take a bath, I'm good," Connor commented that made everyone else nod in agreement.

This made Elliot sigh and chuckle, "He's sleepy. He'll probably in his room all day today. I'll swing by Madam Locraine's mansion real quick. I'll be back by noon."

Elliot was standing up when the front door of the inn swung open and Isabelle walked inside. Kian was behind her and they were both carrying small wooden boxes.

"Good morning Azure Scorch team!" Isabelle greeted with a rather bright attitude. "I heard there's someone creating portals in here, so I brought with me my trusty magic suppression gems."

"Elliot, I'm sorry, I told her," Lance sighed. "It will be very risky for us to just let that Gaston guy roam free. He could literally trap us inside his space altering magic and then kill us there one by one."

"No, this is good," Elliot said. "With these gems, at least we can sleep at night without too much to worry about. This is amazing, Isabelle."

"Of course," Isabelle grinned. "You'll be getting an Outer Forest Wanderer for me, it's a huge thing for me."

Aquarius scoffed after hearing the name of the beast. "Lance, what in the hell?"

The name rang a bell inside Elliot's head. He remembered it was a Deep Sea Wanderer that killed the other person that holds the same title as Aquarius.

Seeing the others barely understanding their conversation, Isabelle cleared her throat. "There are these large chaotic beasts in all Realms. They are feared for they can inflict large scale destruction. There are three categories, Outer, Inner, and Deep."

"The Outer Wanderers is the weakest one. It can destroy three neighboring villages, Inner Wanderers can destroy a city, Deep Wanderers can destroy two or more cities," Isabelle continued. "It was a Deel Firelands Wanderer that killed the East Guardian when Cacten was destoyed."

"So, a Deep Wanderer is an Alpha Steike?" Elliot asked, making Isabelle nod. "Then we can handle an Outer Wanderer. After all, we defeated a Double Alpha Strike before."

"Wanderers aren't infamous for their strength or destructive capabilities," Aquarius said. "Wanderers are rare and their rewards are high. If you kill one, you would most likely get a bounty of a hundred thousand gold coins."

"That's an entire village," Elliot whispered. "Then we have to do this."

"No," Aquarius shut his suggestion down. "I cannot permit you to do it. Michelle, the Goddess of the Seas was hunting an Outer Sea Wanderer when she encountered a Deep. It destoyed her, leaving only her torso."

"But there are a lot of us," Elliot said. "After this competition, we will rest. And after that rest, we'll explore to find an Outer Forest Wanderer."

"What about the Eastern diplomatic mission?" Ed asked. "We can't just abandon that."

"I-I'll deal with that problem later," Elliot said. "For now, I really have to meet Madam Locraine. I need to ask her something."

Elliot didn't wait for any of his friends' replies and left the inn. He walked over to the rich suburban road and went to the mansion of Madam Locraine.

"I wish to enter," Elliot said to the guard. "Madam Locraine knows me. You can ask her for me to get inside."

"Unfortunately, Madam Locraine has been away for three days now," the guard replied. "She will not be back until this afternoon."

"Afternoon?" Elliot pursed his lips i disappointment. He slowly walked away and looked at his Console. The two other ones were going to be harder. He couldn't just ask Jameson that he knew about his possession of the Book of the Middle.

If he asks Jameson this, it would only make him look suspicious. Elliot had to be careful around him. He still needed a favor from the prince, and he didn't want to ruin their connection.

With a sigh, Elliot returned to his room back in the inn. He had no choice but to dump his items so he could exchange for the Creator's Heart. It was a wonder why the Manual would let Elliot power up and giving him what he needed.

"Maybe it's softening up for me?" Elliot smirked at himself. He sat on the floor of his room and looked around for items to dump.

He had a large collection of unused items. He was considering dumping them for the Creator's Heart, but then he might need them in the future.

"Do you consider in becoming a hoarder?"

Elliot jolted after hearing Jameson beside him. He took a deep breath and held his chest, trying to regain his breathing.

"You have a lot of items in this room," Jameson said. "It looks messy."

"I am trying to get rid of some of them, but I don't know where to start," Elliot replied. Jameson was sitting on the floor, to which was a mystery to Elliot on how he got there. He sat beside the prince and stared at his piles and piles of items.

"So?" Jameson quirked his brow up. "Why aren't you getting rid of them?"

"I don't know where to start," Elliot sighed. "I might need some of them in the future."

Jameson scoffed and stood. He walked over to the items and looked around. He clicked his tongue when his eyes landed on something. Elliot was tilting his head as he watched the man pull out a sword.

"Do you need this?" Jameson asked, raising the sword. It was one of the swords Elliot first forged to practice. It started to get rusty because he wasn't using it and he kept it outside his Inventory.

"I don't think I'll use it, but I have memories with it–"

"Throw it away," Jameson deadpannded and threw the sword in front of Elliot. "I can't believe I'm helping you throw things out, but it seems like I have no choice. Plus, I'm really bored right now."

Elliot smirked and watched the prince rummage through his items. Jameson was doing great by taking out useless items and forcing Elliot to throw it. He was also very persuasive and persistent. If he thinks Elliot doesn't need it, he would continuously ask Elliot its purpose.

A few hours had passed and the two finished the task. The side of Elliot's room now looked cleaner. Jameson found more than half of Elliot's items to be useless.

"I will go to my room now," Jameson said. "Good luck with your new life as a non-hoarder."

"Thank you, Jameson," Elliot smiled. "I appreciated the effort."

"I just don't like hoarding things," Jameson waved his hand and passed through the wall, leaving Elliot alone in his room.

"Okay, now, let's dump."

'The Creator's Gluttony full.'

[ The Creator's Gluttony

[[ The Creator's Heart ]]

[[ Ivy Scimitar ]]

[[ Goddess Feathers ]]

… ]

Elliot didn't have to pick any other item. His eyes were focused in on the first one that was offered to him. He needed the Creator's Heart. He needed the boost and he needed the Brew.

"This is an easy choice," Elliot chuckled and picked on the first one.

'Inventory Full'

'Additional Inventory slots added.'

'The Creator's Heart is now in your Inventory.'

Elliot checked his Inventory and smirked when the saw the additional twenty Inventory slots in his Console. The Manual was preparing him for a big fight for the Twilight Bless fight.

'Quest [ The Creator's Heart II ] completed.'

Without any more hesitation, Elliot absorbed the stone. He needed the boost from it. When he completely absorbed the stone and had his first one upgraded. The additional stats from his first stone was doubled.

He felt like he could take on an Alpha Strike on his own. Or even the Outer Forest Wanderer that Isabelle wanted. He felt like he could finish the quest on his own rather than them in a party.

His mobility was quicker when he was alone. When they were in a party, they would camp out every few hours. But if he was alone, he could sneak up to the forests and leap up to the branches.

Elliot stood with a wide smile on his face. He felt good after the quest and the Heart. With another grin, Elliot was going to Madam Locraine's antique shop and wait there.

"Okay, let's go."
