Chapter 182: Delicious or Cute

The group stumbled towards the summoning, as Rebecca pointed them. Due to chilli weather, the faces of everyone turned red. Their hands became numb and bodies felt tired. Breathing unevenly, looks haggard.

Though the group was tired, no one stopped for quite some time and continued to walk towards the summoning. Only when Ayaan saw their—especially Akash's—pale faces and struggling bodies, shivering hands, and tired, slow walk, he stopped and rested along with his companions.

After replenishing their energies completely, the group resumed the quest of the summoning. Ayaan wanted to see what he was trying to call his beloved wife. If it was a man, he would make him miserable, and if she was a woman... cough, he would think about it later.

"Roar!"

Suddenly a roar attracted everyone's gaze. They eyed in front of them and saw a barbaric, huge, white bear. It had crimson red eyes, long claws as it stood on two sturdy legs. It looked no different from the polar bear from earth, though it was filled with an extra viciousness that would stand the hair of anyone on their ends.

Ayaan saw in front of the beast laid a doe helpless. The blood pooled on the white icy ground, drowning the doe in its own blood. She was still alive, though, as she tried to escape from the claws of the beast, but to no avail. How could a weak animal, such as a doe, outdo the fierce animal like a bear on her

own?

Although Ayaan was surprised by her look, she was white as snow, beautiful indeed. However, at this very moment this beautiful doe was struggling to escape from this bear and was almost on the verge of her last breath.

"We need to save her!" shouted Noor, and all the ladies nodded while two men in the group had their own thoughts.

"Fast or it will die." Urged Rebecca from the side.

"Dead or alive, it won't matter in the end, anyway," said Ayaan. "Why bother?"

Akash, who was at the side, nodded his head vigorously in agreement. While girls looked at him in confusion, they did not understand his words. However, when they saw the saliva on his lips, they couldn't help but glare at him furiously.

But this wasn't a time to argue, so they didn't bother with him and focused their attention on the matter in front of them. Noor disappeared from her place, and appeared just behind the beast, holding two sharp, shining, vicious daggers in her soft, long, white hands.

She slashed with her right hand and jabbed her left dagger inside the beat's neck.

"Raor!"

The beast roared in agony, and removed its sharp claw from the white doe and floundered towards Noor in fury, though Noor once more blinked and arrived behind the beast and slashed with her daggers once more. The beast roared and swung its large long hands in all directions, but to no avail, Noor would vanish before its attack could reach her.

In the end the beast fell on the ground with a thud sound, due to the excessive blood loss. The white hair turned red and wounds filled its body, the blood oozed continuously, as the bear closed its eyes, falling into oblivion for all eternity.

Afterward Noor eyed the doe that was drowned in blood. She walked at it and checked its condition, and her face turned sad. It had died.

The girls mourned over Doe's death while two boys drooled over her corpse. Noor walked towards the bear and kicked furiously. "You bastard killed an innocent doe that looked so beautiful. The art of nature. The magnificent sight to behold!"

After her, Ifre also kicked, showing her fury for this vicious animal.

Ayaan and Akash rolled their eyes when they saw the two's act. They couldn't help but pity that miserable bear, poor thing died hungry. And even after its death, people were kicking its corpse. The bear was also the art of nature like a doe, so why such a difference in treatment?

"Cough, what I was saying," everyone turned towards Ayaan. He cleaned his throat and proceeded. "The doe is dead, so...umm… why don't we eat it?"

"No!" shouted Noor, looked at him with narrowed eyes. "Absolutely no. How could you think about eating such a cute little doe? She just died and you want to eat it. Why don't you eat that bear?"

"I think if she had died a long time ago, and was filled with lots of wriggling worms, only then, she would be suitable for eating, don't she?" replied Ayaan, curling his lips in a mocking grin.

"..."

Noor turned red in abashment. She struggled to find an answer but failed. So she glared at him and turned her abashed face away.

Ayaan looked at the girls and said with an evil smirk, "why don't you guys eat the bear while I and Akash eat the doe. You have sentiments for the little creature after all."

He said and walked towards the doe. All the girls exchanged glances, then turned toward Ayaan's grinning face. "I hadn't even looked at the doe, previously. I don't have any sentiments or anything for her, it is just food, yes, a nutritious food indeed." Suddenly Leafwhisk said and went towards Ayaan and stood along with him.

Ayaan looked at Leafwhisk and smirked. He turned towards everyone else. "Do you want to eat the bear or doe? It's your choice, anyway."

Without thinking, Isobel walked towards Ayaan and stood by his side. Ayaan looked at Rebecca, Noor, and Ifre's abashed faces and chuckled. In the end, the three ladies gritted their teeth and also walked towards Ayaan. After all, no one wanted to eat bear's hard and bitter meat in front of doe's soft and fragrant and delicious flesh.

"Don't think too much about it," Noor pouted when she saw Ayaan's curled lips. "I am here because you will eat it, anyway. So why should I stay behind?" Other two who also had embarrassed faces nodded vigorously, approving Noor's statement.

Ayaan chuckled but said nothing afterwards. This was cooking time. Delicious food was lying in front of him, after all.
