Harry Potter's Book of Sin

Chapter 4

Generally speaking, Maka is not very interested in the Weasleys. As I said before, he never likes this lively scene very much.

But Ron, as a member of the future trio, has too many stories involving him. Although Marca can't remember many details, it doesn't prevent him from getting to know Ron. In his opinion, this is the nearest breakthrough to make friends with Harry, Hermione and others.

Of course, it doesn't need to be too deep.

On that day, Maka and Luna had lunch at Weasley's house, then played in the burrow all afternoon, and then returned to Lovegood's house again.

It is worth mentioning that he has made an appointment with Mrs. Weasley. They will go to Diagon Lane together at the end of next month to buy the necessities needed for admission - Ron has also received the admission notice from Hogwarts.

Life in Lovegood's family passed quickly. Maka talked with Luna every day. Sometimes the topic of conversation might be wrong, but most of the time they talked very fast.

However, happy days always seem very short, time passes quickly, and soon it is the date agreed with Mrs. Weasley. That morning, Maka said goodbye to Luna's father and daughter, and then stepped into Lovegood's fireplace again with his suitcase.

She has lived in Luna's house for nearly a month. No matter how cheeky, Maka estimates that it's almost time to say goodbye. Of course, before leaving, Maka helped Mr. Lovegood repair the broken fence, which made a good impression on him.

At the last parting, Luna showed some reluctant expression for the first time. Maka wondered if it was a good start? To tell the truth, he still has some good feelings for this sometimes smart and sometimes off-line girl, although he hasn't liked it to that extent.

"Bang!"

When Maka arrived at Diagon lane, Luna and her father were staring at the empty fireplace. Obviously, this time, someone finally found Maka's vision when using flyer powder - they were shocked.

The high green flame passed before their eyes and almost licked Mr. Lovegood's broken robe. If he stood closer, he would probably go to Diagon Alley with Marca.

……

The place where Marca and Mrs. Weasley made an appointment was the Patech crucible store, which opened behind the Leaky Cauldron bar. According to Ron, he doesn't have to buy anything because he's going to use second-hand goods used by Charlie.

"Except for a new crucible, because Charlie's mouth leaks," said Ron reluctantly. "I'd rather leak a standard spell, primary, which is more expensive and doesn't look so stupid."

But when Maka stood in front of the crucible shop and looked in, she found that she probably came earlier.

"Anyway, let's go to Guling Pavilion first!" Maka looked around and decided to follow the original plan.

Gulingge is the only bank in the magic world. It is operated by goblins and has branches all over the world. Goblins provide businesses related to saving money and renting vaults. Of course, there are corners such as currency exchange.

Under the bow of several goblins at the door, Maka entered the marble Hall of Guling Pavilion. As soon as he entered, he was overwhelmed by the busy but orderly scene inside.

About a hundred goblins sat on a high stool behind a long counter. Some weighed coins with a copper balance, others examined gemstones with eyepieces, and recorded them on the large ledger. There are countless doors in the hall, leading to different places. Many goblins guide customers in and out of these doorways.

Seriously, this kind of scene is rare. Maka stood by the door and looked more for a while before walking to the counter with the nameplate of "Muggle currency exchange office".

"Time is money, my friend," Marca said after looking at a young goblin on the high stool and couldn't help but pull a famous saying. "What's the exchange rate of the pound?"

"Oh, yes, yes," said the goblin in the counter, his eyes suddenly brightened, as if he had heard some wisdom. He carefully examined Maka, and then answered, "today's sterling exchange rate is 5.01. Distinguished guest, do you need to exchange it? The service charge is 1.5 points."

Maka quickly took out most of her money from the suitcase, and after going through the exchange formalities, she saved it all in the Guling Pavilion, leaving only 100 gold galleons for herself.

"I'm glad to serve you, sir. I wish you a wide source of money!" finally, the goblin said goodbye to him happily in a sharp voice.

When Maka came to the gate, he vaguely heard a familiar cry behind him.

"Time is money, my friend!"

"It's really moving." Maka grinned and left here with a cheerful pace.

"Well, where are you going next? Why don't you go around first?"

Just as Maka was thinking about going that way, his eyes were attracted by another fork across the Guling Pavilion.

The shops in Diagon Alley are crowded enough, but it looks narrower there. Even the light is covered by strange buildings, which makes people feel a little gloomy.

Maka hesitated and then walked over there.

The doors of the three shops at the intersection are tightly closed, the windows are tightly pulled with thick flannel curtains, and the shop names on the door forehead can not be seen clearly. It is obvious that they have been abandoned for some years.

A few steps further, a small shop called "giant spider" is opening its door. It seems that many strange creatures are locked in cages, which reminds him of an item on the shopping list - students can carry an owl, a cat or a toad.

Maybe it's good to go in and have a look. Anyway, he came too early and had a lot of time.

"Welcome, young guest." at the bottom of the shop, an old witch in a broad brimmed pointed hat whispered in a gloomy husky voice, "... Please look around."

Maka looked over there, then looked at the creatures in the cages on both sides one by one.

To put it bluntly, he just looked. He didn't know most of the creatures in it, but it didn't hinder his curiosity.

Suddenly, he saw a black owl. It looked big, at least two laps larger than the varieties in the "ELA owl store" he passed by.

"What kind of owl is this?" Maka turned her head and asked the old witch inside.

"Xiao, born on Sumatra island, is good at hunting and warning, and is good at predicting the coming of earthquake and tsunami." the old witch said sadly. Her dry chapped lips opened and closed, and her crooked and missing yellow teeth were clearly visible.

Maka looked at the owl in the cage again. She saw that it was quietly looking at herself. She couldn't help asking, "how much is it?"

The old witch grinned. Her stiff smile was creepy. "Twenty jingarons, my husband."

Maka glanced at the old witch without changing her expression. "Come on, madam, I'm not the hairy children of Hogwarts."

The old witch looked up and down at Maka hesitantly, then raised her arched back a little, and her voice became louder, "all right, sir, fifteen golden galleons are priceless."

This time, Maka didn't even look at her. She turned and walked out. Her pace was as fast as running away from some filth.

"Wait, wait, sir, ten, no... eight, at least eight!" the old witch suddenly shouted.

Maka looked back and didn't cut down. He estimated that although there must be a lot of profits at this price, it was almost the same, and he could not buy it if he wanted to bargain again.

"Deal." Maka took out eight gold galleons and put them on the counter. Then she picked up the cage and walked out of the shop.

"Wait! The price of the cage has to be calculated separately!" the old witch chased the door and found that Maka had already disappeared into the crowd in the street.

At this time, she stood at the door and was surprised to find that the old witch was two meters tall!

"Damn! What an abominable dwarf, just like those vampires in the United States!" the old witch couldn't find a target, so she had to go back swearing.

Of course, Maka didn't run far. He just took two quick steps, and then dived into a shop called "melocchio Museum".

"Welcome to the melocchio Museum. There's everything here. You can choose it slowly!" a little man shorter than Maka suddenly jumped out of the back of a shelf, and his sharp voice was half a tone higher than the goblins in gringott.

"I just have a look."

Maka said casually and pulled out a wand from the big basket next to the shelf... Oh, no, half a wand. The half wand is scarred, and there are several deep scratches on the wand. The dirty core can even be seen at the fracture.

"This is a rare treasure?" Marca looked at half of the stick in her hand and said strangely.

But the short wizard seemed to think it was a treasure. He waved his hands and shouted excitedly, "Oh, yes, yes! The magic wand used by greenward as a student, purple shirt wood, dragon's heart key, 14 and 3 / 4 inches... I mean once."

Maka sighed and threw the half wand back into the basket.

After that, Maka picked up a few gadgets on the shelf to watch, while the dwarf danced around him, telling a series of stories that sounded fake enough, as if hoping to attract Maka's attention.

Just as Maka put down the things in his hand and was ready to leave, he suddenly glanced at the corner of his eye. A small blue light flashed through the gap of the shelf!

Maka immediately looked away and pretended to squat down to check other goods, but she had a dispute in her heart.
