Chapter 2 - Yunlong the Dum-Dum
'My successor you have finally appeared'
Once Yunlong heard that voice he looked towards to void where the sound came from, to find a golden silhouette of a human figure, however he couldn't fully understand exactly what the being in front of him was.
'Wait successor? The hell, am I really one of those annoying MC's that will eventually become top of the world but have to go through all that nonsense plot to get there' thinking of this Yunlong had the urge to just request to go back to earth.
"Hmm, you are quite a funny one successor, and yes, all of your worries are indeed true, however one thing you have advantage of these so called 'MC's' is that you will have your memories of the 'universe' that you will be reincarnating at" said the voice at a moderate pace, however Yunlong could hear the amused tone within.
"Uh, excuse me you mentioned about successor, and from your previous statement you have already decided to where I will be reincarnating at?" Yunlong had asked in a respectful manner.
After all, even if his head was kicked by a donkey, he wouldn't dare be disrespectful to the being in front of him 'dammit, he could be the Creator for all I know'.
"Hehe, in some way you could consider me the Creator, however I am neither a god nor a being that should be worshipped, as I too can live and die, in fact the me you are currently speaking to is the last speck of power before I disappear and return to the void" replied the creator with an indifferent voice, which confused Yunlong.
'Wait, why is he so calm about being erased from existence, also is this why he wants me to be his successor, ugh but being a person who manages this void seems boring as hell' thought Yunlong but without waiting he asked "If I may ask, why exactly is a being as powerful as you at the end of his existence, and also what exactly am I succeeding?".
"To first get the answers to these questions, you must understand the vast multiverse we live in, for starters, the mission I am giving you is to find my daughter who has successfully reincarnated, however her soul is sealed within her new body and needs to be recovered" the creator explained, stunning Yunlong in the process.
"What the fu**, Creator who under the heavens would dare to kill your daughter?" at hearing his daughter had died, Yunlong was hoping there wasn't some overpowered villain that he'd have to face at the end of his 'novel'.
"Hahaha, young one your imagination is fascinating, but no, there are no beings that can match me in the many realities or multiverses" but he paused as he thought
'Well there is 'her' who can match my power... but that is up to you my successor'
Not showing any signs the Creator continued explaining "It is just that when I gave life to my daughter she was upset that life could no longer be born since all the life energy within the primal chaos was connected and concentrated on her body, meaning if she exists then no new beings could be born from the primal chaos, which is why after 10 million years she decided to dissipate her soul so that life could be spread across the primal chaos…"
"To her credit she did succeed in doing so… however how can I as a parent allow her to just remove herself from existence for others, so after forcefully tampering in the absolute laws of karma and the origin reincarnation cycle I had managed to reincarnate her into a new life, at the cost of position as a being one with the void, leaving me with a mortal lifespan these last few billion years, and luckily at the end I managed to find you my successor" explained the Creator with deep sorrow and regret clouding his voice.
When Yunlong had processed just this first bit of information he felt like this backstory was somewhat familiar, but what he was thinking the most was 'God damn, this woman is a saint, how could she even willingly do such a thing, makes me want to cherish her…' however as soon as this thought came through his head, as if a bucket of ice water that came from Pluto dropped on his head, he heard the Creator say in an emotionless voice
"Although you are my successor, I will not tolerate any nonsense with my daughter, understood"
Yunlong just nodded his head up and down as fast as he could, as if he was a chicken pecking on air seeds, sweat covering his non-existent body.
To change the subject, he proceeded to ask, "You mentioned the multiverse, what did you mean, can I travel to a lot of anime worlds?" hope and excitement filled within his voice.
But the savage that is the Creator just replied "nope", once that sound had dropped Yunlong himself just figuratively dropped to his knees, wondering why he wasn't these lucky b*stards who had 2D harems for themselves.
The Creator amused at this scene carried on "I am the Creator as I have become an entity that has become one with the void, however I was once just like you, a mortal, however I managed to understand laws and became the entity of the void. The void is what existence is born from, and is full of origin energy, no matter the form of energy: Qi (Chi/Ki), magic, chaos, primordial, primal chaos, profound energy, it is all born from origin energy. I have become the void, meaning my power connects the void (existence), however unlike my daughter, life energy is not connected to me"
"Moving on to my daughter, she became the entity that stabilises the primal chaos, which can be considered the second highest quality of energy, and she created life, thus in laymen's terms, you could consider me the God of Origin/Existence/Reality (Void God) whilst my daughter is the God of Creation/Life, however this isn't actually what we are. Although I say she is my daughter, she was actually the first existence created from the Primal Chaos Dimension, which was what I created from origin energy to bring me some entertainment at that time"
Yunlong has already turned into a Dum-Dum by the time the Creator had finished.
