Ginseng Queen is Only Three and a Half Years Old

Chapter 40

Zhang Yue looked at Cui Hong’s actions in confusion and followed her.

Just as she walked to the wall, Zhang Yue heard a man’s voice, “Is what you said true?”

Cui Hong’s voice sounded, “It must be! I’ve already checked!”

The man’s voice sounded again, “If that’s the case, then you should bear with it for a few more days. I’ll think of something.”

Cui Hong did not respond immediately, as if she was hesitating.

The other party seemed to have noticed Cui Hong’s reaction and comforted her, “Don’t worry, I’ll definitely help you with that matter!”

“As long as what you say is true!” The voice sounded very bewitching.

Cui Hong responded and did not say anything else.

Immediately after, Zhang Yue heard a rustling sound and it soon became quiet.

The sound of footsteps could be heard. Zhang Yue was startled and quickly ran to the other side of the village chief’s house.

The Li family’s mother walked over. Seeing Zhang Yue’s hurried appearance, she greeted, “Zhang Yue!”

Zhang Yue was startled and stopped in her tracks. She looked at the Li family’s mother.

The Li family’s mother smiled and waved at her. “Come, come, come! Let me show you something new!”

Zhang Yue hesitated for a moment and slowed down her fast heartbeat before walking over with a smile on her face.

She didn’t know what she was nervous about, but she vaguely felt that something was brewing.

She subconsciously looked at the village chief’s house behind her.

Cui Hong didn’t seem to notice Zhang Yue’s side, but walked straight in through the door.

Zhang Yue took a deep breath and asked the Li family’s mother, “Aunt Li, what’s new?”

The Li family’s mother raised a plastic cube in her hand and said, “See! My son just came back from the outside and brought back something new!”

“It’s called something strange! I don’t remember it either!” The Li family’s mother laughed happily.

“He said that if he calls me in the future, this thing will sound.” Mother Li’s smile was brilliant, and her whole face was beaming.

“We don’t know how this thing sounds!” Mother Li giggled and said, “Anyway, I miss my son. Once the this thing sounds, I know that my son misses me too!”

Zhang Yue listened to mother Li’s words and was also happy for her.

Although she didn’t know why the thing making a sound had such a big effect, as long as mother Li was happy!

When Zhang Yue returned home, she was a little absent-minded.

Lu San looked at her absent-minded appearance and frowned tightly.

Recently, Lu San’s sensing ability had been getting stronger and stronger, but she could only have a stronger sense of actual objects.

Lu San did not have a clear way to predict the events that would happen.

Everything that could possibly happen was vague to her.

Although she knew that there must be something wrong with Cui Hong. However, she could not predict the specific events. This made Lu San scratch her head.

It was not until Lu Sheng returned home that Zhang Yue grabbed him after dinner and told him what she had seen.

Lu Sheng frowned when he heard her description.

He knew that Zhang Yue would not lie, so there must be something wrong with Cui Hong.

Cui Hong was not very hard-working. She only chatted with her aunts every day.

It was not surprising that she knew some secrets. However, looking at how secretive she was, this secret was probably not that simple!

“Keep an eye on her for the next two days and see if she does anything else,” Lu Sheng instructed.

Zhang Yue nodded, but she could not suppress the nervousness in her heart. “I have a feeling that she is going to do something bad.”

“Yeah, I have the same feeling.” Lu Sheng nodded and voiced out the worry in his heart.

Lu San sat by the bed, nibbling on a peach as she looked at her parents.

She could vaguely feel that Cui Hong was plotting something, but she did not feel that there would be a crisis.

In other words, Cui Hong’s matter was not directed at them!

The next day, Lu Sheng was busy preparing for the construction of the medical station when he saw the village chief running over anxiously.

“Something’s wrong! Something big has happened!” The village chief said anxiously, his head covered in sweat.

“What happened?” Lu Sheng and his companions who were in charge of the construction were studying the materials with their heads lowered. When they raised their heads, they saw the village chief standing above them.

The village chief blocked the sunlight. Lu Sheng only felt the darkness pressing down on him from above.

The village chief tried to catch his breath, trying to calm himself down. “A wave of public security came just now and… took Lu Qiang away!”
