Ginseng Queen is Only Three and a Half Years Old

Chapter 26

The village chief’s wife helped prepare dinner before she brought Ah Fu home.

Lu Yi and his siblings sat at the table obediently and ate.

Zhang Yue, on the other hand, was fed by Lu Sheng while lying on the bed.

At first, she was a little embarrassed and wanted to refuse, but Lu Sheng stopped her.

Under Lu Sheng’s insistence, she ate the food in her bowl one mouthful at a time.

The three siblings looked at their parents’ intimate behavior and could not help but bury their faces in their bowls and snicker.

After dinner, Lu Yi helped to pack up, and the two brothers returned to their own room.

Lu San obediently sat beside her mother, her small hand gently stroking her mother’s forehead.

Zhang Yue looked at her daughter with a smile and said, “Mom is fine. Little Lu San, don’t worry.”

Lu San shook her head and still insisted on using her hand to stroke her mother’s forehead.

What Zhang Yue did not know was that she discovered that Zhang Yue’s heart actually had a very big problem.

It was probably due to the tiredness during this period of time coupled with a serious lack of nutrition. Her current symptoms were not just malnutrition.

Because the testing conditions were not adequate, the doctor only saw that Zhang Yue was malnourished.

But deep down, Zhang Yue had a more serious heart problem.

A heart problem was not a small problem. If it was not treated in time…

Lu San shook her head, letting the terrifying thoughts in her mind quickly disappear.

She focused her mind again to check the condition of the blood essence condensation.

“One more day, one more day!” Lu San thought excitedly.

Lu San leaned her head against Zhang Yue’s chest and took a deep breath.

This was the most reassuring feeling she had in half a year.

Lu Sheng walked in and saw Lu San leaning against Zhang Yue’s chest with her eyes closed.

Zhang Yue looked at Lu Sheng with a smile and said, “I have no choice. Let her sleep here today.”

Lu Sheng gave a helpless and bitter smile. “Alright… If we wake her up now, I’m afraid we won’t be able to sleep at night.”

Although Lu San had always been a good child, no one said that a good child could not cause trouble.

The next morning, Zhang Yue wanted to get up and prepare breakfast for the family.

However, Lu Sheng stopped her. “Let me do it.”

“I can do it.” Zhang Yue struggled to sit up.

Lu Sheng gently pushed her back. “Be good.”

Zhang Yue was helplessly pushed back to the bed.

Lu San listened to her parents’ words and opened her hazy eyes to look at her mother.

Zhang Yue lay on the bed and soon fell into a deep sleep.

She was really too tired.

For the past six months, she had only slept for three to four hours a day.

While Lu Sheng was making breakfast, Lu San felt that her blood essence had condensed.

She reached out her small hand and bit down hard.

A drop of bright red blood dripped into Zhang Yue’s mouth.

Just as Lu San was about to wipe the blood onto Zhang Yue’s mouth, Lu Sheng suddenly walked in.

Lu San was shocked and quickly poked Zhang Yue’s mouth with her hand.

Her wound slowly healed, and the blood stains also slowly disappeared.

Lu Sheng saw Lu San’s action and walked over with some amusement. “Lu San, be good. Mommy doesn’t eat fingers!”

As Lu Sheng spoke, he pulled Lu San’s fingers out of Zhang Yue’s mouth.

“Zhang Yue, Zhang Yue, get up and eat something before you go to sleep,” Lu Sheng called out softly.

Zhang Yue was in a deep sleep. Lu Sheng had to call out at least five or six times before he woke her up.

She felt a warm and comfortable feeling in her chest.

She supported her arms slightly and sat up. “I feel much better!”

Lu San sat beside her and smiled happily.

Lu Sheng did not believe her. “Even so, keep lying down on the bed.”

Zhang Yue did not know whether to laugh or cry. She could only accept her fate and continue lying on the bed.

Lu San naturally knew that what Zhang Yue said was true.

However, she did not intend to snitch.

She also felt that Zhang Yue really needed a good rest.

Moreover, her small hand grabbed Zhang Yue’s hand again…

Her heart had not fully recovered!

Lu San did not know whether it was because she had been using her blood essence too frequently recently that the effect had decreased, or there were other reasons…

She felt that Zhang Yue’s illness should not be so simple.

However, she was confused for a moment.

This matter still needed to be considered from a long-term perspective.

No matter what, she had to let Zhang Yue drink her blood essence again!

Lu San secretly cheered herself on. “Little Lu San! The blood essence has to condense faster! It has to be fast and effective!”

After Lu Yi and Lu Er finished washing up, the first thing they did was to come in to visit their mother.

The children of the Lu family were all filial and sensible.

Zhang Yue looked at her two sons standing obediently in front of her. She could not be happier.

She sincerely felt that the good days of the family were really coming!
