"I didn\'t expect you to rush here." Maurice Serano said to Felix with a light chuckle. Did the Prince rush here for the woman he loves?

Though he didn\'t like this man because he was the one who owned the heart of the woman he loves, he also admits that he was a unique being! His confidence was also something to be proud of.​​

"And I don\'t think that was the answer to my question." Felix coldly responded. He stared at the man right in the eyes trying to read his mind, but it doesn\'t work. Maurice was an expert at hiding his feelings if necessary.

Maurice glanced at his wristwatch and again shifted his eyes to the Prince. "It\'s time for the press conference. Let\'s talk later."

He tried to walk past the Prince but Felix doesn\'t intend to let him do that. "You must answer my question first. What do you plan to do?" He clearly asked the ex-fiance.

Maurice\'s face turned serious at the question. "Did you think that you are the only one who loves Elen? Then you\'re wrong. I love her too. You didn\'t want to cause her any harm, and so do I. Do you have the answer now?"

He finally walked past the Prince and entered the room right away.

The moment Maurice entered the room, he was welcomed by the continuous flashing of cameras and many reporters.

"Mr. Serano, is it true that you and the heiress of TR Group are engaged?"

"How long has it been?"

"Is this a business partnership or love engagement?"

Maurice Serano was instantly bombarded with countless questions.

"First of all, thank you for coming here to listen to the true story." The reporter became quiet at once as Maurice Serano spoke up.

"It\'s true that I and the heiress of TR Group were once engaged." He started answering their questions but it leads to other endless questions.

"Does it mean that you are no longer engaged?"

"What is the reason?"

"When did this happen?"

Maurice takes a deep breath not to feel nervous. He needs to be very careful in answering the questions; so that he would cause no harm to everyone.

"We got engaged 7 years ago. At first, it was an arranged engagement but soon after, it turned to affection."

"We became a happy and normal couple just like everyone else. But we grew apart due to distance and lack of communication."

"At that time, I was busy working in a foreign branch and she was also busy with her own life. We eventually grew apart as time passed. It\'s been a while since we decided to break off the engagement. Our family also approved of this." Maurice explained, twisting the truth a bit.

"One more question, Mr. Serano. Is there any possibility of reviving the engagement?"

"What is the TR Group heiress doing now? We heard that she didn\'t enter the business circle even now."

"I can\'t answer any personal matters of my ex-fiancee," Maurice replied. "We have no plans of getting back together. As of now, we both are happy with our own lives."

"Didn\'t you say to talk later?" Prince Felix tilted his head to the man while his back leaned to the wall.

Maurice snickered at the Prince. "You take that to heart?! Then why don\'t we grab a drink together? It will be better than simply talking."

Felix looked at Maurice with a confused face. Drink together? Were they close enough to do that? He surely remembers that this was just their second meeting. Besides, the ex-fiance and the current boyfriend having drinks together? What a ridiculous idea!

"It\'s fine if you don\'t want to. It\'s not like I didn\'t have a buddy to drink with." Maurice scoffed when he saw the Prince reaction.

It\'s fine if the Prince didn\'t agree with his suggestion. Why bother making that face? He too was not that excited anyway!

"No, let\'s do that. I\'m just surprised." Felix changed his mind right away. After all, drinking together will be a good idea to clear up the tangled past.

Besides, this ex-fiance doesn\'t seem to be a bad guy. His only problem was that he was dumb enough to make a single stupid mistake.

Even though it was still evening, the two men went to a bar nearby as if they were good friends. Well, that\'s what people would assume.

Sergeant Korin handed a file to the Colonel. "Sir, this is the information you asked for. Captain Yelena didn\'t have any suspicious visitor. One man indeed visited her before you do, but he turned out to be her ex-fiance." He reported.

"But I checked Lt. Morris whereabouts. Yesterday, he visit LN Hospital." Sergeant Korin added.

The word \'hospital\' attracted Colonel Maverick\'s attention right away. "Whom did he visit?" He asked at once.

"The patient name is Nolan Iselin." The Sergeant responded.

"Nolan Iselin? So, my suspicion was true." Colonel Maverick muttered. He thought for a while with his fingers tapping the table.

"Then do this." He rose from his seat and stand near Sergeant Korin. He whispered something to his subordinate ear, ordering him to do some new task.

"I understand." Sergeant Korin saluted the Colonel once again and leave the office.....
