End of The World? Time to Level Up!
Chapter 7
A storm of fire was brought forth as an explosion occurred. Screams of fear and panic filled the air as gunshots played a sympathy in the air. Ghouls were seen everywhere as they slowly overrun a base of survivors, people tried to fight back the horde but were slowly stampeded by the swarm of hungry ghouls. These ghouls were different, they were not the usual ghoul that we have come to know, slow and easily killed; they were slim, pale, sprinted crazy fast and feasted on every thing in its way.
After about an hour, not a single soul was alive and dead corpses littered the floor as the herd moved on, the corpses arising after them and slowly shuffled behind the ghouls. These new ghouls were something nobody was prepared for.

A sudden gasp was heard as Sebastian sat up, he frantically looked around but then remembered were he was .As he stood up wobbly he held his mouth but couldn't contain its content as a massive amount of blood was vomited on the floor.
Sebastian: I'm never using that beast skill again.
Sebastian looked over to the headless body of Leo and multiple Notifications popped up in front of him. He ignored the notifications that probably said that he leveled up and walked towards the headless body. On Leos body was a small glowing treasure chest. Being confused at what it was he cautiously pressed it.
With a Pop the treasure chest flung open and a golden message appeared in front of Sebastian.
System: CONGRATS ON KILLING ANOTHER HIGH LEVEL HUMAN DO YOU FEEL HAPPY ABOUT YOURSELF?DUE TO DOING THIS ACTION USER RECEIVED ONE SKILL FROM THE CORPSE!
System:SKILL RECEIVED [CLOUD CLONE]
Sebastian didn't know what to think about the first message, was the system judging him that he killed another person? Why did he not feel guilty for killing those thugs and Leo. He simply thought of the more logical response and killed them before they killed him. With out another thought he walked past the corpse and started to look for the main reason he came here, but first he checked his stats.

Sebastian noticed something with his fight against Leo. Levels aren't everything, if a person was a lower level and had better skills than the opponent, he could succeed in trying to beat them, but levels are not completely useless if an opponent is a higher level they are obviously packing strong skills so don't gamble too much on the level difference.
This mission was expensive for him as he lost all of his throwing knives so as of now he was a close range fighter and his MP was very low due to the Ancient beast guzzling 200 mana.
The teen sighed as he checked his body; cuts and blood were flowing every were, so with a sigh he took one of his last health potions and drank it. Seeing as how the HP slowly went back up to a healthy level, and the wounds healed. The scars remained though, showing the previous fight's damage.
Checking that his sword was still alright he started to look for supplies in the base. There wasn't much left, only a few boxes of canned food and 2 med bags. Sure the food would be enough for the base but the medicine would be enough for 4 people at most.
Sebastian: The previous survivors took all of there stuff with them, this was a waste of time.
Seeing as he only found the box of canned food and med bags he put them in his inventory and took out the midnight sky scarf and equipped it. The image it sent was quite scary as it showed a figure bathed in dry blood with a katana hanging at his hip and a black scarf moving slowly in the sky; his maroon colored eyes glowing slightly.
He activated stealth, jogged out of the air base and went back towards the camp.
Guard: Halt!
Sebastian unequipped the scarf and the guard saw it was the teen.
Guard:You are back in one day? What happened, did you not get the supplies?
Sebastian: There was only one box of canned food and 2 med bags... The rest has already been looted.
Guard: Dammit,he took in a deep breath and spoke again. Ok, I'm opening the gate and then you can take what you have to Tim.
The fence slid open and Sebastian walked in, the guards checked him over to see if he had any bite marks on him and he was clear. It took about 10 minuets to walk to the main tent.
Tim: Ah Sebastian, I heard that you didn't find too many supplies in the air base.
Sebastian: Word travels around here quick huh?
Tim: That's due to Charles, he's the head captain of the guards and got quite the useful skill if I do say so myself.
Sebastian: Whats the skill?
Tim: [In the eyes of the beholder] It allows him to read a person's mind and can talk to people in a 3 km radius through telepathy, so when you told the guard, Charles heard it and told me.
Sebastian: That is indeed useful,he said as he took out the items he found. Well here is loot... If you would excuse me.
Tim: One more thing, we received an SOS signal from a nearby base earlier today, we should go over and help them.
Sebastian: And why would we do that?There are a lot of warriors in this base that are very low leveled and if they sent an SOS it means something happened to them... And that implies its something strong, strong enough to destroy your warriors...
Tim:That is the gamble they have to play with in this world. We need to help these people to show that not all our humanity has been eaten by this plague of hunger known as the ghouls.
Sebastian looked at Tim and Used Observe on him.

Sebastian saw that the level is hidden meaning that Tim is 10 levels above him ,which was frightening as he was currently level 20.
Tim: Report to the main gate in 4 hours, we're going to the base and I would really appreciate if you can come along and help us, you are a strong player.
Sebastian nodded at the man and left to his tent to rest for a few hours and restock in items for the fight that was most likely going to happen at the SOS base...
