Sebastian slowly opened his eye's to see a white roof above him. With a grunt he sat up and looked down to see his body was bandaged and he saw that he was in the recovery room as their were other people on separate beds groaning in pain.

Minomoto: I see your awake how do you feel?

Sebastian looked to his left to see Head Captain Minomoto sitting next to his bed drinking some tea.

Sebastian: How long was i out?

Minomoto: A day.

Sebastian sighed and rubbed his head.

Sebastian: Damn i missed the selection.

Minomoto: Not necessarily.

Sebastian looked at the head captain giving him his full attention.

Minomoto: The selections went as normal everyone got into their own squads but when your name came up you were not there. So normally you'd have to retake the test a month from now but seeing you are way to strong to be in the bench i allowed a squad captain to pick you.

Sebastian: Thank you Captain he said bowing his head softly.

Sebastian: Which squad received me if i may ask?

Minomoto: Squad 1 Captain Nikyu was very interested in you and she told me that once you woke up you have to head to the main office.

Sebastian: Ok i will

He stood up and he quickly stretched before he equipped his uniform and his sword,that's when he noticed his white sword was missing.

Minomoto: I believe your looking for this?

Sebastian looked over and saw Minomoto was holding his katana in his hand.

Minomoto: Young Sebastian why do you fight?

He said seriously his one eye opened to look the teen in the eye's

Sebastian: At the beginning of the plague i just wanted to get stronger,to survive as back then i was a low level person just like everyone but then later i got a group to protect ,a family if i dare say so, So the only way to make sure they survive is to become a strong player that can protect them he said seriously looking the old man in the eyes.

Minomoto: A good goal he nodded his head and threw the sword towards Sebastian who caught it.

Minomoto: Good luck i'm expecting great things from he said and then walked out the room.

Sebastian looked down at his sword and then sheathed it as he walked out and closed his eyes from the bright sun. When his eyes recovered his saw a corps member holding a board with his name on so he walked up to the solider making them look up at the tall teen.

Random Solider: Are you Sebastian Topaz?

Sebastian nodded.

Random Solider: Good Captain Krov told me to come fetch you and take you to camp.

It took them about 10 minutes to walk to the camp on their way there people walked up to Sebastian and said they feel safe knowing his gonna be in the corp's and little kids called him awesome and pulled poses shouting his skill names making him chuckle.

The Squad 1 camp base looked like a normal military camp except in the middle was a big building, that was probably the head office. Around the office were people sparing against each other. The solider knocked on the door and a soft come in could be heard making the solider open the door and Sebastian walked in the door closing it behind him.

There sitting by a desk busy writing on pieces of paper was the captain of squad 1 Nikuya Krov. She was currently not wearing her hat and you could clearly see her straight jet black hair resting behind her back. She looked up and her blood red eye's clashed against Sebastian maroon ones.

Nikuya: Welcome to squad 1 how are you feeling?

Sebastian placed a hand on his chest and did a small bow.

Sebastian: I am fully recovered Captain thanks for asking.

Nikuya: Good manners i like that she sent him a small smile.

Nikuya: Right do you want me to explain what Squad 1 does apart for protecting the city?

Sebastian:You explore the outside world and recover land for the city to expand correct?

Nikuya: Correct now tomorrow we will go in the outside world and explore this area.

She opened her desk drawer and took out a map. The map was the layout of the entire area and a few locations had X's on them.

Nikuya: We will be exploring sector Jumba its a local jungle that had a plethora of wild life and plant life. Before the plague people made this artificial jungle so they could study nearly extinct animals in their habitat and such.

Sebastian: If i may ask why are we exploring it?

Nikuya: Survivors that came earlier in the months through the city told us that something was in this area it wasn't a ghoul or any boss. We need to see what this is and if it is going to be a threat to us in the future.

Sebastian nodded.

Nikuya: Arrive at the main gate entrance at tomorrow morning 5 am, you can head to the main cafeteria were all the separate squad members can talk to each other and such. The sleeping area is behind this building just pick a empty tent and that's gonna be your future home got that?

Sebastian: Yes Captain he bowed to her and then excited the room.

Sebastian walked around the base and asked a few people were the cafeteria was and they pointed to a big building that people were walking in and out of talking to one another. Once Sebastian entered he saw separate soldiers sitting around tables eating food and chatting merrily with each other.

May: SEBASTIAN!

He looked at were his name was called and saw his group sitting at a table waving him over. He smiled and got some food which consisted of some rice with tender mince on it.

Sapphire: How are you injuries? She asked worried

Sebastian: I'm in top shape he said taping his body and smiled at the girl.

Junak: I heard you got in a fight with Captain Toge that's why you missed the squad selection.

Sebastian nodded and started to eat his food.

Sebastian ate the food and then looked at his group.

Sebastian: What squad did you guys get into?

May: Squad 8 she grinned

Emily: Squad 3

Junak: Squad 2

Mia: Squad 6

Sapphire: Squad 5

Rose: Squad 3

Dante: Squad 2 he grinned and threw Sebastian a peace sign

Blair: Squad 2

Sebastian: And i got into Squad 1 making everyone smirk.

Everyone: Of course you got in at 1

May: Oh right i got us something!

The girl opened her inventory and took out 9 flat metal disk's.

May: These are com disk's!

She gave Sebastian one and then pressed the middle of hers as a ringing sound was heard making Sebastian press the circle in the middle and then a hologram of May appeared doing actions she was doing in person.

May: These allows us to communicate with each other were ever we are she grinned.

Sebastian smiled and patted her head.

Sebastian: Good job May.

Everyone took their own com disk and carried on talking with one another until Sebastian looked outside and saw the sun was already setting making him excuse himself and walk back to his tent.

Sebastian: I wonder whats waiting for me in that jungle tomorrow he said before falling asleep.
