End of The World? Time to Level Up!
Chapter 13
Its been a few hours since they left the fallen base and they came a cross a few barbed wires and ghouls.
Tim: Alright everyone, take five, we will rest for 3 hours and then move on again.
Everyone sighed a sigh of relief, plopped down on the floor and relaxed. Sebastian and the group also sat down and drank some water from bottles they found at the base and some canned sausages, filling there stomach up. After the break everyone packed up and walked back to the base. On their way there Sebastian felt like something was watching him and he walked a'bit slower to fall back of the people and looked around trying to find out what gave him this feeling.
Nothing seemed out of the norm, he just shrugged and jogged to catch up to the group.
As they were about to arrive a sudden explosion in front of them made everyone halt and looked at what was in front of them.
When the dust settled a giant shadow stood up and it suddenly roared causing the windows to shatter and ground to shake. They looked up and saw it was a giant mongoose the size of half a building!
On top of its head was a Red name.
System: Mungo The King of the Savannah[LVL:21]
Tim: Dammit, of all time to appear a boss arrives right now?! Shields stand in the front and long range skill users and archers stand behind them!
The people did as they were told.
Mungo roared and twisted around bringing its massive tail in a swinging arc hitting all the shields away in one swoop, their bones and Armour screeching under the pressure. They didn't live for long as they sustained too much damage to be healed by the health potions. All the swordsman roared and activated their separate skills and hit the boss making it take some damage but it moved its head down and opened its mouth biting down 4 people that were right underneath it.
May started to unload arrows in it but they wouldn't pierce its thick hide.
May: Dammit! I cant use Apollos Fury otherwise I would be out of the fight too quick!
A sudden explosion on the beast made it scream in pain and fall into a close building. Everyone looked at where the explosion came from and saw that it was Sebastian holding maroon throwing knives in his hands.
Sebastian: Well don't just stare at me, attack it!
Everyone roared and sprinted to the beast attacking it making it roar in pain and anger, it raised its paw and brought it down, Sebastian saw that its paw was glowing a yellow hue when it touched the floor... Thousands of spikes made from stone shot out and pierced a bunch of people killing them instantly.
Junak: DAMMIT, I'm useless... I have to wait another day before I can summon Enkidu!
Sapphire: We just have to wait the fight out and kill any ghouls that appear due to all this noise.
Junak: Do you even have a weapon ??
Sapphire grinned and from her innovatory pulled out a double barrel shot gun.
Sapphire: I don't think people would want to get healed by a shot gun welding girl and big ass syringe ?
Junak: True true.
Their attention was drawn back to the fight when they heard Mungo scream louder than before.
There lying on the floor was the paw of the Mongoose and in front of it was Tim, his sword drawn and it was coated by blood.
Tim: None of my people will be killed anymore!
He slashed upwards again but Mungo kicked him with its one paw into a building, knocking his wind out.
Sebastian: Damn. He sighed and took out his new sword and it started to glow brightly as he activated his second strongest skill.
Sebastian: [Mondschnitt Streik]making a bright slash to appear and cut the boss's tail off that was about to crush Tim.
Tim: I didn't want to use this skill as I'll be useless afterwords but this needs to end now!
The wounded Mungo looked up and saw Tim right in front of it, his blade glowing white.
Tim: [MOON CUTTER]
He swiped his blade in a wide arc and there wasn't any sound but suddenly the air compressed in itself and huge gust of wind nearly blew everyone away and a loud bang was heard after the gust. When the dust settled down it showed Mungo cleaved in two and a bunch of buildings behind it was on the ground.
Tim blew out a breath he had kept in and fell on his butt.
Everyone was quiet before they all cheered out of joy that the boss was killed.
