Chapter 27 - Set in Stone

"A GOD!" Queen Leiss yelled and dropped the drink on the table. How could she not understand what this meant? Even the Leiss ancestor was not a God, in the ancient writings it said she was merely an Immortal. She had a friendship with one of the Gods, but that was it, she could only look up to such level of power. "You...you..." She had yet to gather her wits properly. "Which Almighty Being are you?" she finally asked. "You could say your ancestor and I were friends." Philip replied calmly. Queen Leiss' eyes bulged out but she quickly recovered. She left her chair and went up to the high table. She then went on her knees and bowed with her forehead to the floor and hands outstretched forward, a great show of piety. " The Leiss Empire serves only the Formation God. Give us your will." Every soldier in the room immediately shot up to their feet. Just what the hell was this? Their queen was bowing like a common slave to an eight year old boy? "My Queen.." Jack quickly reached out to lift her but was immediately reprimanded. "Don't you dare. All of you kneel!" she said without even raising her head. Philip had a hand to his chin and seemed to be in thought. "Oh, even a remote side branch of the Leiss clan remembers their oath? Interesting." he casually commented more to himself. All the experts in the room had great hearing and still heard what he said. Queen Leiss shuddered whilst bowing on the floor. Nobody knew about the oath that their ancestor had made with the Formation God to always serve him except her direct descendants. This was further proof that it was indeed the formation god descended in a child. More so, pretending to be a God had grave consequences. Since the clan remained unharmed, it was again proof that it was real. Furthermore, the decent of the immortal treasure had it's own question marks. All of these things merged together to convince her. "I said bow!" she reminded the room with a yell. Immediately the temperatures began to drop and everyone was jolted back from their daze. They all bowed down in a similar fashion from where they sat. Even the twelve elders of the Nyasanga clan could not believe their eyes. The Leiss Empire was a true behemoth running an entire continent on this world. They were not some run of the mill organisation. Yet the leader of this giant had taken it upon herself to submit as a servant. Wasn't this a bit too easy? "Rise." Philip casually waved his hand. Queen Leiss quickly stood up and her soldiers followed suit. Philip reached into his pouch and took out a white bone slip. He placed it on his forehead and it glowed for a short while. He then casually tossed it at Queen Leiss. "This is the first level of the [Nine Ice Lotus] technique. It should be enough for you to take care of the Blood Sect disciple. Stay in touch with my father going forward. Off you go!" Philip waved the group away with a casual backhand. A dumbfounded Queen Leiss was still staring at the bone slip in her hands as a group of servants rushed in and cleared the tables of the used dishes. Chief Saito then stood up and with a slight cough, grabbed everyone's attention. "I'll show you out then." He calmly offered.

"Oy! Are we leaving just like that just because that kid said we are?" one of the soldiers couldn't take it any more and blurted out. What nonsense about a God. That was a little kid. And here they were bowing and acting reverent and all. The old geezers were strong sure, but old and out of their prime, and this little kid definitely was too young. A sharp aura instantly descended on the room. Not just Queen Leiss, but all the elders of the Nyasanga clan had dropped sharp gazes on this soldier. He suddenly felt like he was a rabbit being eyed by a pride of tigers. "Now now, he does have a point." Philip spoke up at this moment, and the tense aura in the room mysteriously vanished. Jack was wide eyed as he noticed exactly what had happened. An eight year old child had cancelled out the aura of thirteen experts! "You must be wondering what gives me the right? Let me show you." Philip added. A blue glow lit up in his eyes and a regal aura gushed out into the entire room. Everyone immediately felt a large boulder descend on their shoulders and collapsed onto their knees. There was no exceptions as the whole hall found themselves kneeling down. This was an intimidation of stages. As a peak ninth stage [Qi Cultivation] expert he was already one foot into the next level of cultivation. That sort of pressure was miles above what a peak expert of this mortal world like Queen Leiss could exert. The weaker cultivators were already flat on their bellies and coughing blood. This included the soldier who had previously spoken up. Philip blinked his eyes and the glow vanished and with it the heavy pressure. It again seemed like he was an ordinary eight year old boy as he casually snacked on the tray of gr.a.p.es on the table. But the absolutely battered regiment of Leiss Empire soldiers told a completely different story. The were helping each other up and looking at Philip like he was a demon straight from hell. That feeling of helplessness and approaching doom was far too terrifying. They were all looking hatefully at the soldier who spoke up. 'You just had to run your big mouth' was what their stares said. Seeing Philip put down his gr.a.p.e and look over, everyone snapped at attention and forgot their injuries. Philip simply made a shooing gesture with his hand and immediately there was a scramble to reach the door. Queen Leiss didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this point. Did her Empire have any face left to save after this display? No not at all. She had also been tasked with eliminating the Ironhand Empire as well. It would seem that from now on, the Leiss Empire was a vassal of the Nyasanga Clan and it was set in stone by the might of a God.
