Chapter 267 - The End

Chapter 266 - The End

"It hurts!" Jiang Yingyue cried out as she was lying on the hospital bed, her face white, and her body aching. Inside the room were only the midwives and doctors, alongside Han Qingshan, who was waiting for the child to be delivered.

Jiang Yingyue was giving birth naturally, and she had decided against using pain controlling methods such as epidurals nerve blockade, she wanted to give birth to her child on her own.

Han Qingshan felt as if a knife was being twisted in his heat as he saw Jiang Yingyue\'s pained expression. Her face was full of sweat, her teeth tightly clenched, and her hands were holding onto the corners of the bed, using all her power to withstand the pain.

She had started getting contractions two days prior, and he understood that it was immensely painful for her back then, but the contractions were only starting, they were just a few and far between. However, they became more and more frequent, and suddenly, her water broke.

He had never been so scared before as he was now. He knew that she had to give birth, but he was distressed over seeing her in such pain, and even more so when she intentionally refused to take the method that could alleviate her pain.

But Jiang Yingyue was stubborn. She was sure that although it was painful, it was worth it all. This baby that she was carrying was simply too precious to her; she wanted to give it a natural birth.

This was the proof of the love between herself and Han Qingshan; she could handle the pain it brought her.

"Push!" one of the midwives ordered her, and Jiang Yingyue pushed all she could.

"Gasp for air!" was the next order, and Jiang Yingyue gasped for air.

"Push again!"

"The head is out! This is the worst part, don\'t worry, you are almost there!"

"The baby is out!"

"It\'s a little boy!"

"Quick, we have to check the lungs!"

The midwives and doctors rushed around. One midwife went to Jiang Yingyue who now laid limply on the bed, while the others hurried to the child.

Han Qingshan was standing by Jiang Yingyue\'s side, and although their baby had just been born, his hand was on hers, his eyes never once leaving her tired face.

Soon a scream was heard, and the midwife came with the child, placing it on Jiang Yingyue\'s chest.

At this moment, Jiang Yingyue\'s heart burst in happiness, and tears rolled down her cheeks as she used her little finger to touch her beloved little son.

Jiang Yingyue stayed at the hospital for a week alongside Han Qingshan. Their son was healthy and had no problems at all, and after a week passed, they returned home.

Their home was no longer the condo. Although they still owned it, they had moved to a residence close to the Han Mansion, a house that could accommodate many more children than the condo.

Here they had servants, maids, and butlers rushing around, dealing with the whole house for them, but Jiang Yingyue was adamant about being the one who took care of their son. Although they had a nanny, she was not doing very much work.

They named their son Han Chengqian. He was the most spoiled little child, but even so, he grew up polite and thoughtful. Although he was a child, he was not mischievous.

Later on, when he turned five, Jiang Yingyue fell pregnant once more, this time her child was a daughter, and they named her Han Yunfeng.

The life in the Han family was blissful. Life simply flowed, and soon, ten years had gone by.

Jiang Yingyue was still filled with happiness from living her life with Han Qingshan by her side, and she often began thinking back to how they had met the first time.

She remembered how Han Qingshan had almost hit her with a car; she remembered her initial hostility towards him and her constant fear of him figuring out her real gender.

She could not help but feel that fate truly worked in strange ways. Many things had caused them to suffer throughout their earlier years, but now that they had overcome all the challenges that had come their way, they now had the life they had always dreamt about.

As long as she had Han Qingshan and their children, she did not care for anything else. This was true happiness, and she felt that she had gone through a lot to find it, but everything was worth it.

This calm and peaceful life was all she had ever wanted, and now that she had it, she would do her utmost to protect it; forever.
