What followed was simply too horrifying. Nobody had the courage or capability to step up and stop him. They could only watch with wide eyes as Yin Han turned into a madman, tearing off flesh piece by piece and swallowing it down. It was more terrifying than any zombie.

If it wasn’t for the fact that tears were flowing down Yin Han’s face as he ate, everyone would have thought that he was turning into a zombie. 

When only the head of the corpse was left intact, Yin Han finally calmed down. He gently picked up the head, as though he was holding something holy and pure. He brought it close, kissing the pale lips.

“Now you and I are one whole,” Yin Han chuckled lowly. “You won’t ever be able to leave my side.”

As he recalled that terrifying scene, Xiao Zheng walked into the room carrying a tray of food. This was the best place in S City’s base, taking up a floor, and was somewhere that all of the ability users in the base dreamed of visiting. 

It wasn’t as luxurious and magnificent as they thought. The room was decorated simply, about the same as the room Yin Han had lived in when he first arrived at S City’s base. Even the furniture had been moved from his old room… Probably so this way Yin Han could remember what it was like back then.

The sunlight was streaming through the window, but Yin Han was sitting at a seat by the bed, holding a book. He was reading aloud, his voice warm.

The scene could be described as beautiful, other than the fact that in front of him was a head.

After being treated with all kinds of artificial processes, the head was able to perfectly preserve its appearance from life. If someone didn’t notice the part below the neck, at a glance it looked just like someone sleeping peacefully. 

“You’re being very good today, too.” When Yin Han finished reading a paragraph, he looked at the head even more warmly. He reached out to caress the cold cheek, as though he was face to face with a real person. “It would be good if our future could be as peaceful as this.”

If the people who had tried to seduce Yin Han saw such a scene, they would be horrified, peeing their pants and leaving immediately.

Xiao Zheng set the food on the table at the side. He couldn’t keep watching, and he turned to leave.
