A Lucky? Dude Journey

Chapter 81 - 76 - Looking for a rumor.

Chapter 76

Except for asking the whereabouts of his daughter, I also inquired what she looked like. Unfortunately, Shishou didn't have her current photo, and her high school year photo was in his hometown. Currently, he only has the photo from when she was five which is not helpful at all.

In the end, Shishou decided to describe how his daughter looks like the last time he saw her. The results of his description also not helpful at all. The only things I know about her are beautiful, silver-haired, genius swordswoman, currently 20 years old, and beautiful.

As expected of a doting father, he even said beautiful twice to emphasize how beautiful his daughter is. Naturally, I didn't doubt him at all, even from her childhood photo it can be seen she will grow up to be a beautiful woman.

Right now, I just arrived at the airport in a certain state in the United States. The flight took about 13 hours from Tokyo to America. After taking my bag, I went out of the airport to look for a taxi and told the driver to take me to a good hotel in the center of the city.

The taxi drives smoothly from the airport to the center of the city. In the middle of the road, the taxi passed a sign that said 'Welcome to Sweet Home Alabama' while driving toward the center of Huntsville.

The taxi driver brought me to a four stars hotel in the center of the city. It was summer, so the hotel might be full at this time. Fortunately, there is just one vacant room which I take it immediately.

Even though Shishou knew his daughter was currently in Huntsville, Alabama. He didn't know where his daughter currently stayed, so I need to search her in by myself.

Because it will be troublesome to search for her randomly, I planned to go to a place where rumor spread and people talking freely, a pub. Obviously I'm going there at night because I think a pub will be more lively at night. As it is still afternoon, I decided to sleep waiting for the night to arrive.

---

Street pub, it was the name of the pub I choose to look for a rumor. It wasn't a random decision as my intuition strongly ringing when I look at the pub on the internet.

In the middle of the buzzing chat of people and the sounds of music in the bar, I sit on the counter table after ordering a glass of beer. It shouldn't be possible for someone with my age to order a beer casually. But with my superb lying skill, such a thing was easy.

Added with my abnormal status resistance which made me unable to get drunk, there is no way the bartender will suspect me even without me showing my identification.

Incidentally, I think this is my first time drinking a beer. Oddly, it feels like I have drunk this for years as it smoothly entered my throat.

As I leisurely drink the beer in front of me, I concentrate my hearing to hear the talk of people in the pub. Thus I overheard the talk of two dudes who sits on the table behind me.

"You've been sighing since we came here. What's up, James?" One of the dudes who has a big stature asked the other dude.

"*Sigh* Nah, it's fine, Ben." James, who was a bit shorter than Ben, answered.

"Just talk, dude. How long we've been friends." Ben casually said.

"...Fine. It's like this, three days ago I put a CCTV at my house, of course, my room included so I will know if a thief came to my room. I place the cameras without informing my wife and son first so they won't be scared thinking a thief will enter our house." James said after thinking for a bit.

"Well, it was quite dangerous recently after all. Then?" Ben drinks his beer then said.

"Yesterday, I found something more horrible than a thief when checking the video..." James gloomily said.

"What is it? Murderer? Wait, your wife and son still alive." Ben jokingly said.

"I found my son having s*x with my wife when I was asleep..." James said.

"..." Ben didn't say anything and just tapping the shoulder of his friend to console him.

'My condolences, stranger dude. Oh, wait, Sweet Home Alabama...'

Thinking like that, I changed to other people talk because it doesn't seem to be good hearing more than that. I already hear enough to feel weird, though. The next talk I overheard is from the two seats beside the unfortunate James. This time, it was a dude and a middle-aged woman.

"Elly, have you seen the photo of the number one pianist in the world, Kitahara Izumi?" The woman asked the man beside her.

"Needless to say! What a delicious face and ass he has." The dude said with a shemale tone while licking his lips.

"I know you would say that! Hey, how about us ask your brother to edit this photo and make him nude for research purpose." The middle-aged woman laughingly said.

"Ara what a brilliant idea. I'm going to use a carr-" Before the dude was able to complete his sentence I stopped overhearing their conversation. I shuddered when he was about to say the thing.

'... WAAA! I don't want to hear it! I don't want to hear it! ...I'm definitely going to bury my face on Nanaka's b.r.e.a.s.t when I came back.'

Ignoring their scary talks, I began searching for another talk. Next, I tried to hear the conversation of three men who sit in front of the musicians who performed.

"Will, how was your new job as police?" One of the dudes asked the man on the left.

"*Sigh* You can say it's just normal, John. These days with people freely holding a gun, the case was too much to handle." The man, Will sighed and said.

"That's understandable. Well, we can merely hope they have a bit of sanity left to not kill people as they want." The other dude added.

"Enough of depressing talk. Are there any interesting things happen recently?" John asked to change the topic.

"Hehe, maybe the usual a guy who divorced his wife who was his sister before because she cheated with their daughter." Will jokingly said.

"Hahaha...If it's me I will ask my daughter and wife to have a threesome with me. It's welcome to Sweet Home Alabama after all." The last dude laughed and said.

'Indeed. That's precisely what I have in mind right now. Sweet Home Alabama.' I thought after overhearing their talk.

"Hahaha. Oh right, have you seen a weird design van? It was a light blue van with green stripes in the middle and there is 'The Mystery Machine' written in it." John laughed and said. I raised my eyebrow when hearing something I knew.

"Oh, I know that. In fact, a blonde-haired teen who drives asked if there is a cave in Monte Sano Mountain. Unfortunately, I didn't know if there is one. So, I answered them honestly then they left after saying their thanks." Will explained after thinking for a bit.

"Don't they also have someone who talks with his dog?" John asked.

"Ah yes, there is one. I can only shake my head when I saw that. Well, not like I heard if the dog answered, though. Who knows maybe it really can talk." Will jokingly said.

"Pfff, a talking dog? Oh wait, we even have a talking teddy bear. So this might actually happen." The last dude laughed then said after recalling something.

"I know, right? Anyway, what a shame, not all of them go down from the car. Because I also see a silver-haired beauty sitting alone in the back row of the van." Will added.

"Too bad for you then. At any rate, I guess the world doesn't lack weird people and things." John laughingly said.

While pondering what that girl doing with them, I decided the plan for tomorrow as I am certain they're still sleeping right now. Tomorrow I'm going to Monte Sano Mountain to look for them.

With that, I who don't want to hear any more talk went back after paying for the beer after taking a Welcome to Sweet Home Alabama pamphlet with me. Who knows it might be useful in the future.
