A Lucky? Dude Journey

Chapter 143 - Side Story - The Angel of Izu

Side Story - The Angel of Izu

"What do you think, Onii-san?"

"How about walking around the town to look for inspiration? I think that would be best for now." Onii-san answered after thinking for a bit.

Right now, I was asking for some advice from Onii-san about what I should write for the daily life part of the novel that I'm currently writing. Of course, I'm going to write a romance novel since there are many romance stories around me that I can get inspiration from.

However, there is a need to put some daily life or should I say, a slice of life in that kind of novel too which until now I didn't realize would be the hardest part to write. Because daily life was just normal to everyone, so it was quite hard to make that daily life at least entertaining to read.

"That's true… I guess I'll try going for a walk then." I said with a smile.

"Want me to accompany you?" Onii-san asked.

"I think I will go alone this time, Onii-san. B-because if you're with me, I don't think it will be just a 'walk.'" I lowered my head and realized my voice was gradually lowered as I said. I can also feel my cheeks warmed...

"Hee…"

I glanced at Onii-san and saw his teasing smile which made me more embarrassed than ever. B-but I do want to have a date with him after all… and I don't want to lie about that.

"Then, if you need that kind of inspiration, don't forget I'll be with you anytime," Onii-san added with a dazzling smile.

'Uuu...that smile was foul play...and...I'm actually grateful for my past self who bravely said it.'

"O-of course, Onii-san…" I lifted my head and said with a smile while my cheeks felt warm.

"Good, then, good luck on your search today." Onii-san smilingly said.

"Nn!"

---

*Woosh*

The cold wind of winter breezed but alas my coat and muffler were sufficient to protect me from the cold. Still, even without that, I am sure I will be fine because everyone in the house was given special protection for this kind of thing from Onii-san in the form of rings.

It seems the magic was imbued with Onii-san divine powers so that no harm can befall us and alarmed Onii-san if anything happens to us in addition. Truth to be told, the girls including me saw these rings with other meanings, though. Anyway, for this reason, even a cold or heat won't really matter to us anymore.

I raised my head to see that the weather was quite cloudy today. But it's fine because the news and Onii-san said there wouldn't be any rain today. Putting aside the news, Onii-san's intuition would never be wrong.

At any rate, when I was about to arrive at the shopping mall near our neighborhood, I saw a girl about my age trying to calm the little girl who was crying in front of her. The girl was kneeling while the little girl was sitting with her hands covering her knee.

"Uwaaaa...It hurts!!!"

"I'm sorry, Kana-chan. Onee-chan was too careless, I shouldn't have separated my hand from you. How about we go and buy a taiyaki right there? No, wait! I need to use a bandaid first. Ah! I didn't bring it! Awawa, what should I do..." The girl apologetically said and panicked trying to calm the little girl.

Without any need to think I took a bandaid, a bottle of water, and a towel from my bag and approached the two.

"Nee, could you show Onee-chan the part where it's hurt?" I knelt and said with a smile.

"--! S-saint of Shuuchiin…" The girl said with a stunned expression because she was panicked trying to calm the little girl before. It seems the girl was a student in Shuuchiin too as she knew that title. Although I was embarrassed to be called Saint, it's not the time to think about that.

"Uwaaa…" The little girl looked at me while still crying.

"I know it hurts, but if you covered it with your hand, Onee-chan can't make the pain go away, right? Besides, a good girl doesn't cry, right? So, please show Onee-chan the part where it hurt." I caressed the little girl's head and said with a smile.

"*Sob* Nn…" Although still sobbing, the little girl nodded as she uncovered the injury on her right knee. It's just a little injury but it's hurt, nevertheless.

"Good girl… Could you tell Onee-chan what's your name?" I caressed the little girl's head again and said.

"Kana…" The girl meekly answered.

"Alright Kana-chan, this will be hurt a bit, but please hold it, okay?" I said with a smile.

"Eh…? I don't want to get hurt…" Kana-chan said with a terrified expression.

"Fufufu, it's fine. It will just hurt a bit. I don't know if this will ease the pain, but come here, Onee-chan will hug you." I said. Then, Kana-chan slowly hugged me and rested her face on my chest.

"Yoshi, yoshi. Could you please help me slowly pour the water to the injury?" I said to the girl as I gave the bottle of water to her.

"Y-yes, Saint-sama!" The girl who was still in a daze answered as she hurriedly took the bottle of water from my hand.

"Thank you and… emm could you stop calling me a saint? I am not a saint at all…" I nodded and said with a smile.

"...Y-yes, Sa-, Kanase-sama!" The girl looked at me in a daze before she answered. Good, looks like she understands I wasn't really a Saint at all. Then, the girl slowly poured the water into Kana-chan's wound.

"Nn!" Kana-chan hugged me tightly as if trying to hold the pain.

"Yoshi, yoshi. It's fine, it won't hurt anymore after this." I gently caressed her head and said. Then after I had cleaned the wound with the towel, I gently adhered a bandaid to the wound. And I used healing magic to heal the wound and ease the pain for the last step.

Of course, there would be some kind of light illuminating us whenever healing magic was activated but I used light illusion magic to make people, not even Kana-chan, and the girl noticed it.

"How about it? There is no pain anymore, right?" I asked with a smile.

"...Onee-chan is an angel?" Kana-chan said as she looked at me in a daze. The girl also looked at me in a daze.

"What do you mean?" I tilted my head and asked with a smile. Then, I realized that light was illuminating just in the area around me.

This is definitely not the light that appeared because of the healing magic because as I look up, a little gap could be seen from the cloudy sky. From that gap, a bit of light shined right toward the area around me. Yes, just the area around me.

"It's a Saint- No, an Angel…" Someone murmured and it made me notice that there are many people spectating us right now. Then, following that person, one person after another started making a praying gesture including Kana-chan and the girl.

"Eh? W-w-wait! Don't pray to me! I-I'm not an Angel at all! Look, it's just a coincidence!" I hurriedly stood up and desperately said.

"Don't worry, saint- No, Tenshi-sama. We understand…" The one who answered was the girl as the others nodded while still in a praying gesture.

"I….I…..I'm not an Angel!!!!"

Thus, while shouting like that, I ran from the people who for some reason prayed to me.

---

"So, after that incident, you continue to walk around the neighborhood. But for some reason, you keep finding people in need like a grandma with a big suitcase on her back, a lost child, and even 'made' the cloud dispersed after smiling?" Onii-san asked with a smirk.

"Yes…" I nodded and said.

"Hahahaha, as expected of Angel of Izu." Onii-san laughingly said.

"M-mou! I'm not an Angel, Onii-san!" I poutingly said.

"My bad, my bad. It's just too funny. It made me want to see the incident myself." Onii-san laughingly said.

"Muu...But yes, it is weird. How can a gap suddenly appear in the cloudy sky? Furthermore, how can the cloud disperse all of a sudden?" I had pouted before curiously said. Then, suddenly, Onii-san looked at me with an amused smile.

"Onii-san...Did you know something? Or rather, you know something right, Onii-san? You don't even try to hide it." I poutingly said.

"Pffff….Well, although you need to ask the person herself, I do know one thing. I also don't think she did it intentionally but you do know Abby needs to train regularly to control her power, right?" Onii-san asked with a smirk. Hearing that, I widened my eyes.

"Oh, and Abby should be in the kitchen with Grayfia right now," Onii-san added with another smirk. Then, I stood up.

"Abby-chan! I want to ask something!!"

In the end, Abby-chan was really the cause. Of course, she didn't intentionally do it. But because of that, the next day I found out about something.

The title 'Saint of Shuuchiin' has evolved to 'Angel of Izu'...

Mou! I don't care anymore!!!
