In the living room at the Minamiya Family mansion, there are three people sit comfortably on the sofa. They are Natsuki, Kanon, and I. Beside us, there are three people standing near the sofa like a maid or butler.

They are in fact Jii the head butler of the Minamiya Family, Jii's wife who was also Natsuki's maid, and Grayfia who seems to be receiving a bit of training to perfect the way of serving as the head maid.

Naturally, I already introduced Kanon and Grayfia to each other. I also told her about Grayfia's circ.u.mstances and her wishes to be my head maid.

"Hehe, thank you, master and miss," Grayfia said with a beaming smile while her cheek still blushed. Natsuki also has explained about the supernatural world to Grayfia, and she accepted being the head maid without hesitation even after hearing Natsuki's explanation about that.

"Grayfia-chan, let's continue the training since we don't have much time." The head maid of the Minamiya Family whom Natsuki called Baa, said with a cheerful smile on her face.

As a husband and wife, Jii and Baa can't have a child because of a reason. By how happy they are when they saw Grayfia, I assume they saw Grayfia as their child who will continue their work to be the head maid.

"Yes, Baa-chan. Please enjoy the tea and excuse me, master." Grayfia replied and politely said. Then, she went following Jii and Baa out of the room to continue her training.

"Before we start our talk, I want to ask something. Kanon, do you know that magic exists?" I thoughtfully asked.

"Would you be surprised if I say I know?" Kanon said after thinking for a bit.

"I see... As expected." Natsuki nodded and said.

'Could I know since when?' the thought came to my mind when I heard her answer.

But, I couldn't ask her about that. Because it might make her remember a painful memory of that time. Natsuki likely also feels the same as both of us looking at Kanon with a sad expression.

"Hehe, I think I know what you two thinking about. It is fine, Minamiya-san, Onii-san. Honestly, I didn't remember much about that incident because I was still a child and they constantly made me sleep.

"The organization that started the experiment already destroyed and most of the members are dead while the rest are rotting in the cell. But sadly, I can't find a survived subject except you. I am very sorry." Natsuki lowered her eyes and said with a sad expression while I held her hand.

"I see... Then, I am the one who should say my thanks, Minamiya-san. Because in the end, they got their punishment. I am sure the other test subjects think like that too." Kanon said with a smile.

"Besides, I could live my life happily because of you, Minamiya-san. That's why thank you very much." Kanon lowered her head and smilingly said.

"...Thank you," Natsuki said with a smile. Only two words coming out from Natsuki's mouth but, it contained her feeling after hearing Kanon's heartfelt thanks.

Then, I gently caressed her head and said in a low voice "Otsukaresama, Natsuki-chan". Hearing my remark, Natsuki closed her eyes with a smile and enjoyed the feeling of being caressed in the head.

"Hehe, you two are very close. And it made me envious of Minamiya-san." Kanon giggled and said with a longing expression. Hearing that, I stood up and went to sit beside her after nodded to Natsuki to give her a signal that I'm going there.

"Then, this is for the kind and gentle girl who thinks about other people even as a child." I gently caressed her head and smilingly said. Kanon widened her eyes then closed her eyes with a blissful smile.

"Kanon-chan, do you want to find your family?" I thoughtfully asked.

"Of course I do. But, it's not something that needs to be done in a hurry." Kanon nodded and said.

"Why?" I tilted my head and asked.

"Because even though I live in the orphanage, my life was already quite happy. I can even meet with someone I adore. Besides, they might be already not in this world, or there is a reason why they left me." Kanon answered with a smile then looked a bit sad when she said the last reason.

"Then do you want to come with us? Although we can never be your parent, we could be a family." I said with a smile.

"Yes, and I also wanted to teach you magic. Because I am sure you can be an excellent magician with your talent and high mana capacity." Natsuki added with a smile.

"...Can I really go with you?" Kanon said with an expectant expression. Natsuki looked at each other and smiled.

"Well, let's go to your orphanage right now. I will inform them you have a family now." I said with a gentle smile.
